Happy Friday Peeps! Popping in here quickly to share his set of cards I made using the new Nature's Harvest stamp set that will be available in the upcoming Holiday mini catalog. I think this was the first pick for me out of the new catalog. I love Coneflowers and grow many in my perennial flower bed. My granddaughter is visiting for the weekend so I am going to keep it short as we have lots of things to do, she loves to craft with Mama and we have to make cookies and visit a few flea markets and stores too. She loves to flea market with Mama and Papa! Anyway back to my cards: I colored the flowers using my blends and the DSP is from the Regals 6x6 pack. I used a die cut in Basic White from the Ornate Layers Dies, I love how his die cut looks on this card, so dainty and pretty. The sentimnet is from the Quiet Meadow stamp set and is on a die cut from the Harvest Dies. Hope you like this little sneak peek of upcoming new stamp sets. Welcome to Simple Sunday!! Today's simple card is created using Stampin' Up's! Nature's Harvest Bundle. The image is stamped with Memento on Basic White. Next, a mask was created by stamping the image again on a large post-it pad. This image is die cut and placed directly over the original image. I used a Blending Brush to add Pale Papaya ink around the masked image. The Timeworn Type Embossing Folder is used after the stamping and sponging. The last fortnight has raced by and it's already time for a new challenge at As You See It. As always, the sketch challenge is followed by a colour challenge and isn't it a pretty one? The trouble with having lots of lovely new things from a newly released catalogue is that some of the gorgeous older things get pushed aside. Nature's Harvest was just too pretty to let that happen to! And I'm still in love with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder. It was great to have them both out again. I used Stampin' Blends to colour the flowers, mixing both greens into the stem and saving the Calypso Coral and Crumb Cake for the flowers. The sentiment is from Best Year. One of the great things about sentiment only sets like that one is how they can extend the value of all your other image sets by multiplying the options. It's recipe week this week at As You See It Challenge. Easy - make us a creation that uses all five of the recipe ingredients. This time round it's: wheat/grass, an embossing folder, twine, gingham and Crumb Cake. This challenge (mostly) played right into my hands. I've been busy exploring the Nature's Harvest bundle that includes Nature's Harvest stamp set and matching dies, Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder and Harvest Meadow DSP - among other items. If you haven't already, check out this suite in the July-December Mini Catalogue. If you live in New Zealand and don't have one, message me. I started with a Crumb Cake base. One of the colours used in the Harvest Meadow DSP is Crumb Cake and by a happy coincidence, there's one that uses Crumb Cake AND wheat sheaves. I die cut the grass die from Cajun Craze and popped it in behind the stamped, coloured and die cut wild flowers. The background embossing folder is the Timeworn Type 3D folder, which I'm in love with. The part of the recipe which caused me some big problems was the gingham element. There are a number of stacks of DSP which include some pretty gingham - and I don't have a single one of them! 😀 Luckily, I spotted this Just Jade Gingham ribbon in my ribbon drawer. It's part of the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon combo. So I coloured the flower stems in Just Jade so there'd be some more coordination. Then a swoosh of twine around it helps highlight the sentiment. I used the label die from the Nature's Harvest bundle (cut down to size) but the sentiment is from Art Gallery. So, that's it. All five elements included! We'd love to see what you do with these ingredients. It'll be just like a Masterchef Mystery Box challenge! Both of my projects use various elements from this suite and l love that they are the same basic design, but just vertical and horizontal orientations. This one is all about the dies and uses one side of a 4"x 4" piece of the Harvest Meadow dsp cut in half on the angle and layered onto a 4.1/8"x 4.1/8" piece of Crumbcake cardstock. I have gone with Basic White cardbases for both, adding Gold accents of Twine & Brushed Metallic Dots to this one. This one is all about the stamped images, coloured with Stampin Blends in Soft Succulent-Mango Melody-Calypso Coral-Crumbcake and uses the reverse side of the dsp, with Linen Thread & Matt Decorative Dots. To CASE is to Copy And Selectively Edit or to Copy And Share Everything, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues. Make sure you keep hopping to see everyone's fabulous projects!! This week, we are CASEING from the Bundles Chapter of the Mini Catalogue - pages 75 to 83. I was inspired by the very first page of the chapter!! I wanted to try the fun White Wash technique and the Nature's Harvest stamp set and layout worked perfectly!! I just changed some of the colours. The flowers were stamped in Cherry Cobbler onto Sweet Sorbet cardstock (one of our new In Colours) and then I coloured the petals of the daisies using White Ink and a blender pen. It dries a little lighter than the white ink, and so created lovely pink flowers!! The die cut blooms from the Harvest Dies were cut from the fun pink shimmer paper which worked perfectly with the metallic Sweet Sorbet ribbon! Inside the card, I've stamped the smaller flower image from this gorgeous Nature's Harvest stamp set using Sweet Sorbet. It goes well with the Petal Pink card base I think! Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing a card made for a dear friend who is going thru some major struggles right now. :( The Nature's Harvest stamp set is a new bundle and is part of the Harvest Meadow Suite which can be found on page 54-56 or the July - December 2021 Mini Catalog. This is my first stamp set that contains die cut floral silhouettes. :) For fun, I decided to pair the Nature's Harvest Bundle with the Layering Diorama Dies. I am still experimenting with these dies, but I am liking them even more each time I use them. :) I used two different sizes of of Layering Diorama dies but created 3 different layers. The larger diorama die was used for my Harvest Meadow DSP, followed by using the next smaller sized die for my Basic White layer and the Misty Moonlight layer. My sentiment is from the Elegantly Said Bundle and is the perfect sentiment for my heartfelt card. I die cut 2 grass silhouette's from the Nature's Harvest bundle using Basic White and Misty Moonlight cardstock to match my DSP. Next, I colored the daisy image using Fresh Freesia, Old Olive and Soft Suede Stampin' Blends. Such an easy image to color. Lastly. I added some Fresh Freesia In Color Jewels and a bow from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.
