Hi all, I don't have a new project today, but I am sharing some picks from my projects from before for the Display Stamper "conte...
It's Thursday again!! Time for a new challenge from Create with Connie and Mary! This week we have a beautiful color challenge: Lost Lagoon, Sahara Sand and Basic Gray. At first I couldn't think what to do with this combo but then I saw my Hexagon Hive Thinlit Die and started my journey with that (sometimes getting to the finish with a card is really a journey for me, with backtracks and changes of direction, especially with color challenges. How about you?) I knew early on that I wanted to use the Dictionary stamp on the paper behind the hexagon diecut; I stamped it off once before the final stamping onto the Lost Lagoon cardstock. Next I diecut the stems and leaves from Basic Gray and, using the Blossom Punch, punched out the two large flowers. The two small flowers were also punched from Sahara Sand with the blossom punch in the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. The center of the flower was stamped in Basic Gray, colored with Lost Lagoon then added a light dusting of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter adhered with a Two Way Glue Pen.. Pearls embellish the centers of the flowers. Stamps: Honeycomb Hello, Mixed Bunch (flower center), Dictionary Ink: Basic Gray; Lost Lagoon Marker Paper: Lost Lagoon, Basic Gray, Sahara Sand cardstocks Accessories: Hexagon Hive Thinlit, Flower Frenzy Bigz L Die (stems & leaves), Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Blossoms Flower Punch, Pearls, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Two Way Glue Pen, Dimensionals, Glue Dots. Here is the Color Challenge 340 this week from Create with Connie and Mary: We would love for you to take the challenge with us this week using this unique color scheme! I really like how these colors can work together to produce lovely results! Just go to Create with Connie and Mary's blog for the guidelines, make your project them upload it to their website! We can't wait to see what you do with it and we are always inspired by the creations of those who participate! Also, while you're there, check out the cards of the other Challenge Team members ... they always inspired me! Thanks for looking! Margaret
I'm so sorry that Backyard Basics stamps set and coordinating framelits are retiring and in fact they sold out almost immediately once the retirement list came out on Monday. In fact, many things are already sold out. If there is a special stamp or accessory set you want you need […]
Hello! I wanted to play with the Hexagon Hive thinlit die and found a pretty sketch at Cardabilities as well as a colour combo at Hand Stamped Sentiments to inspire me... I wanted to stamp something on the Hexagon Give die-cut so I looked through my stamps for some possibilities and decided on some of the motifs from Hello Lovely... I was really pleased with how this one turned out (even though I forgot to put the large banner from the sketch into my design!). I was actually pretty quick to put together because of the flowers and leaves having coordinating dies (love these!)... I added some pearls and a greeting and that was that! Here's the recipe: Stamps: Secret Garden, Hello Lovely, Petite Pairs Ink: Coastal Cabana, Gumball Green, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight Paper: Coastal Cabana, Whisper White Accessories: Pearls Tools: Secret Garden framelits, Hexagon Hive thinlit die Thanks for stopping by... x Amy x
The Artisan Design Team's February box of products is fantastic. We are continuing to use some of the latest and greatest from the Occasions Catalog. These are the projects you might have already seen on Stampin' Up's Facebook page.
This Hello Sweet Friend card was made using Stampin' Up!'s Hexagon Hive Thinlit, Backyard Basics Framelits and Stamp Set and Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set.
I had a very quiet Saturday, but sometimes that’s necessary no? I’m not really a fan of relaxed and quiet, I would much rather be busy. I ran some errands, worked on some projects and e…
It's my birthday and we're having a Blog Hop. What an exciting day! May is a funny sort of month when you are part of Stampin' Up! A whole lot of products have retired and we're waiting to welcome the brand new Annual Catalogue on June 2nd. The Occasions Catalogue is also still active until June 1st. This Blog Hop is going to reflect all these changes. This month we're concentrating on saying goodbye to the old--the products that are retiring from both the Occasions Catalogue and last year's Annual Catalogue. We're also welcoming in the new since we've been able to order a very select amount from the brand new Annual Catalogue. I had a lot of fun mixing the old with the new for my projects. If you've come through the blog hop from the beginning, you will have arrived here from the very creative Deborah Smart's blog. Deborah is one very busy crafter and always amazes me with her wonderful projects. * * * * * * * * * * For my first project I created a masculine birthday card using one of my favourite retiring stamp sets: Clockworks. This card could easily be for Father's Day with the appropriate sentiment alteration. What I love about the Clockworks stamp set is all the gears and designs as well as the clock faces. I also used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and Label Love stamp set, neither of which are retiring. I used a lot of layers for this card, beginning with a base of Early Espresso, some Gold Foil, another layer of Early Espresso, a layer of Baked Brown Sugar onto which I heat embossed a variety of designs and, finally, a partial layer of Early Espresso cut out using my Hexagon Hive Thinlit. The card really looks masculine, doesn't it? I am so happy with the results. For the inside of the card I continued with the colour scheme. I love this sentiment from the Yippee Skippee stamp set and decided to stamp a gear from the Clockworks in the top left and bottom right. Then I used the Chevron Border punch to get some Early Espresso Core'dinations pieces and adhered them around the gears after sanding them slightly. * * * * * * * * * * I only prepared one more item for this Blog Hop but since it's a multi-page accordion-style album, it's really quite a large project. For this one I decided to spotlight two of the new In-Colors: Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon. The design is along the line of the album I made for my daughter over a year ago, but it has more pages and I also decided to use my Circle Card Thinlit for one of the pages. The pages alternate between the Naturals White cardstock, Hello Honey cardstock and Lost Lagoon cardstock. I also used some of the pages from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack as well as some Whisper White cardstock and Pool Party Core'dinations. The Pool Party looks great with the new Lost Lagoon. There are also several stars and hearts cut out of Silver Glimmer paper spritzed with Pool Party ink, using framelits from the Circle Card package. The stamp sets I used were Baby Prints (retired), Baby We've Grown (Occasions catalogue and also in the new Annual Catalogue), and Something for Baby (new Annual Catalogue). They really worked well together. What I love best about the new Something for Baby stamp set is that it comes with coordination framelits which eliminates the usual fussy cutting I wind up having to do. You can see on the cover how beautifully the pram is cut out with the framelit. The sentiment is from the Baby We've Grown stamp set. I love the way the Hexagon Hive thinlit and On Film framelit enhance each other. The baby for whom I've created this album hasn't been born yet so I've left the photo areas blank as well as the areas for his name and other information. I love the way one can combine My Digital Studio and actual stamping. For the little boy's shoes, I used the Baby We've Grown stamp set while the safety pin and little socks are from the Something for Baby stamp set and framelits. The next spread of pages is, again, a mixture of stamping with the My Digital Studio because I wanted a list of firsts to go with the stamp from Baby Prints. Since this spread also includes the Circle Card, I used the footprints from Baby Prints on one side of the circle and a sentiment from the Cuddles and Kisses stamp set on the other side. For the next spread, I did some very fussy cutting because I wanted to include the little bunny from the Baby We've Grown stamp set. Of course I included four bunnies. Cutting those little whiskers was a challenge! The next spread includes the inside of the back cover so I repeated the same embossed pattern that I used on the inside of the front cover. This shows the entire inside of the accordion-style album. And, finally, this shows the front and back cover together. I can hardly wait for the baby to arrive so that I can complete the album by adding photos. * * * * * * * * * * That completes my Blog Post. I hope you've enjoyed my projects. That's the whole line-up for the Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop. Of course, if you've begun with me, you'll click on "Next" and that will bring you to the beginning of the hop. Our Blog Hop is circular, therefore it continues just like a ring and is never-ending unless you "jump off". I hope you won't decide to jump off until you've enjoyed all seven posts. The next stop for you will be Kathe Deck. Kathe is a wonderful crafter and never fails to surprise me with her creative projects.
Love, love, love today's card featuring the Stampin Up Happy Watercolor stamp set. This stamp set is featured in the Occasions Catalog. The flowers are layered on Wisteria Wonder card stock cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelits. The base of the card is Whisper White card stock, layered with Basic Black card stock textured in Beautiful Baroque folder, then a layer of the new Hexagon Hive framelit cut out from Eggplant Envy card stock. The look of the textured black peaking beneath the hexagon hive cut outs is a fabulous "Surprise"! Very cool!
Hello StampersFYI Facebook follower now we have a fun live option on face book many ask me to do it again I did it in the past 2 week so I will be live tomorrow morning if you want to see me create a
Hi there everyone! I'm trying to do a better job of posting to my blog more than once a week so I've got a backlog of projects to share with you. Today's project was for one of my monthly stamp clubs. I wanted to feature the Hexagon Hive Thinlit die and the gorgeous Watercolor Wonder paper: I really like this card; I think it represents my true style. Not sure that I can put a label to it but is there such a thing as "cleanly elegant and detailed"? LOL! I am in love with the Hexagon Hive Thinlit die, especially how some of the hexagons are cut out and some are not. When it's backed with some pretty DSP, the colors and shapes look a bit mysterious and...I like that! The hexagon layer is cut from Smoky Slate cardstock which I randomly stamped with one of the line art flowers from the Flower Shop set. This added even more depth and dimension to this layer. Of course, that's one of the Watercolor Wonder patterns behind it and I took my color inspiration from there. The flowers were stamped in Island Indigo ink and a blender pen, with just a touch of the same ink, was used to color in the flower. They key here is to start light and not cover the entire flower. A little bit of white peeking out adds to the watercolored effect. You can see I added a little bit of silver Dazzling Details to the flower centers which frame this fabulous sentiment from Perfect Pennants. This is such a great set because it combines some awesome sentiments with some element stamps (polka dots, stripes, stars and hearts) and banners--love a multipurpose set! I wanted to demonstrate the versatility of this stamp set so I used another sentiment on the inside in Gumball Green. A few more flowers in Island Indigo and Smoky Slate carry the design to the inside! If you're interested in the supplies used to make this card, check out the list below. Thanks for stopping by today, friends... Supplies Stamps: Flower Shop, Perfect Pennants Ink: Island Indigo, Smoky Slate, Gumball Green Paper: Island Indigo, Smoky Slate, Gumball Green, Whisper White; Watercolor Wonder DSP Xtras: Hexagon Hive Thinlit die; Bird punch; Pansy punch; silver dazzling details; 2.5" circle punch; Gumball Green stitched satin ribbon

This was such a simple card to make. As I was putting the hexagons in place, Liam walked through my office and asked if I was doing a puzzle. And I guess I was. To make the background, I used th
So what do you think of the new Hexagon Hive Thinlit Die? I think it's marvelous and am going to have ever so much fun using it on dozens of projects! I used it this time for this fun birthday card -" you can never have too much happy" and inside it says "happy, happy, happy birthday!" Didn't take a pic before giving it away, sigh. I die cut the frame three times, each in a different color. Whisper White, Tangerine Tango and Strawberry Slush. I then popped up the Whisper White frame using Stampin' Dimensionals and used a few hexagons from the remaining two to add some fun color. And here's the sweet gal I made it for - Happy Birthday, Kayla! So glad to have you hanging out with our family. Hexagon Hive Thinlit Die 132965
