While I currently wait for my main catalogue order to arrive, which seems to take f o r e v e r... my lovely friend Kim offered to share her gorgeous new goodies with me (this is just one of the many reasons why I love that girl!) So after looking through her HUGE box of new stamps, I decided that I really wanted to try out the new Detailed Floral Thinlits. This set was one of the first items that I saw in the catalogue and knew it was a must have. The matching stamps are beautiful and the coordinating Paper, Washi and Bakers Twine are stunning too. So after a very quick run through the Bigshot and a bit of sticking, I literately had this fantastic card all in about 15 minutes!! The photo really doesn't do the die justice. It cut out beautifully with the precision plate and I used our nifty little Sizzix brush and mat to roll over the die and poke out all the little bits. It really was so quick and easy and the card has a huge wow factor to it. I finished it off with a little stamping, using the matching stamp set Floral Phrases and there it was, done! Oh and just a little note, the framelits have three pieces, two are the floral dies and the other one is an outline die that actually matches both of the floral pieces.... Now THAT'S clever!! PPA305 – A Color Challenge by Windy Ellard Floral Phrases For this weeks #PPA305 Challenge we were given the gorgeous colour palette below Now I have chosen for this card the Floral Phrases & the Detailed Floral Thinlits dies. I made a card based on this only last week Click > HERE to see last weeks design. But I thought I could do a little better than that design. It is along the same lines, inlaid pieces highlighting parts of the design. BUT this card has more detail, AND the colours just make it sublime! Without ANY further a do here is my card. 'A special note of THANKS to you' #KOCreationscards #Floralphrases #Detailedfloralthinlits #Thanks #PPA305 #KOCreationscards #Floralphrases #Detailedfloralthinlits #Thanks #PPA305 How I made my card : I chose the cards stock according to the challenge that had been put forward. Island Indigo is my base, Pool party is the second layer and on top it Whisper White. After cutting one lot of the Floral thinlits for the front, without using the piece that cuts completely. I cut the second lot for my contrasting inlay in Island Indigo. I glued the Whisper White to the Pool Party base & then proceeded to glue pieces from the Island indigo into the desired positions. I used two of smallest flowers from the Bloomin' Hearts Thinlits set as added accents to the front and the larger ones for inside. Both sets of flowers have been lightly inked with Island Indigo around the edges for depth. I added Rhinestone basic jewels to the centre of my flowers to give sparkle. Both sentiments are from the Floral Phrases stamp set. I placed the inside one using the label punch after stamping. I mounted the Pool Party card front with Stampin' Dimensionals onto the Island Indigo card base to finish. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. Don't forget to check out all other card entries this week over at Pals Paper Arts Showcase > HERE I do hope you have enjoyed my card today & I hope it inspires you to create your very own too! If you are looking to find items used to make your own, look no further than below in the carousal.

The Floral Boutique Product Suite will help you create beautiful wedding cards like the one I created above. I used the entire product suite on this card with the exception of the Designer Series Paper, however, I do give you a peek of the Designer Series Paper in the video below. This card showcases the Floral Boutique Designer Washi Tape, the beautiful die cut that you can create with the Detailed Floral Thinlits and the Floral Phrases stamp set. The Night of Navy Baker's Twine adds an elegant touch without bulk. Enjoy the how to video and let me know

Hi everyone, it is time to get that stash of paper out and start to use it. I have so much paper it is not funny and I got inspired by Kylie Bertucci with her #LOVEITCHOP hashtag encouraging everyone to start using our paper stash. I made a set of cards using the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper. I love this paper, with the elegant look of Night of Navy and Whisper White. Just add a touch of silver and you have a beautiful card. The stamp set I have used is Rose Wonder. It has sentiments suitable for a lot of occasions and I love the font on the stamps. The flower was cut from a piece of the patterned paper and adhered to the centre panel using dimensionals. Quick and simple. I cased myself for this card and I even used some of my Washi Tape Stash. The flower was made using the Botanical Builder Framelits. This is a quick and simple design with a piece of patterned paper adhered to the bottom of the Whisper White piece and a strip of Washi Tape placed over the join. A flower placed on a Stitched Shaped Circle was added to finish the card. This card is my favourite in the set, again using one of the flowers cut from the patterned paper. Final card in the set. The flower arrangement was made using the Botanical Builder Framelits. You can get all the supplies you need for this project from me. I have been missing in action in the creating world of late but I am participating in this weeks CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop featuring the Everyday Occasions section in the Annual Catalogue (pages 66-91) as I am staying home in isolation as I have been hospitalising for 24 hours with a terrible virus earlier this week and had to cancel my card class this afternoon. So sorry ladies, but I did not receive my Holiday Catalogues on Friday either. I am looking forward to getting inky soon once my life gets back to "normal" whatever that is of late, with my father moving into Restvale Nursing Home on Tuesday it's been a very emotional time for the family and I still have a few more weeks of paperwork and coordinating his care before I will be able to relax. Back to Stamping! You may be starting here, so welcome or you may have come from Monique Fielder and she never disappoints. My card this week is a combination of the gift box and card featured to the left. I liked the simple design of the white card using the Detailed Floral Thinlits but wanted to use the stamp set as well at my card class, so this is what I came up with below. It uses my favourite colour for the 2016-2018 In Colours, Dapper Denim with Whisper White for a striking card. I then made a second card using the thanks sentiment and then stamped the inside of the card to match. Stamp Set: Floral Phrases Cardstock: Dapper Denim, Thick Whisper White, Whisper White Ink: Dapper Denim Accessories: Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies My second card I don't often stamp in the inside of my card but this set has a great matching sentiment and the long border stamp just finishes off the card. Now it's time hop over to Simone Bartrum and see what she has made this week. If you are inspired by the Annual Catalogue and the blog hop, why not participate in our monthly challenge by going to the linky tool at CTC and the winner will be announced in the first Sunday in September.

When I was contacted by Trish Latimer the editor of Craft Stamper Magazine to be part of the February 2017 edition, I asked her what should be my approach or what would be ideal to make. So much fun in this week's challenge at Retro Rubber - it's wedding time! That's right - get out your old stamps and create a wedding card. Just use at least one stamp older than a year and don't forget to tell us how old it is. There's a lot of old stuff in this wedding card. The embossing folder and the dies are both older than a year as well. The stamp is from SU's Floral Phrases, new in the 2016-17 catalogue. That's where the stamp on the inside, and on the envelope, came from too. Please join us in the challenge - we love to see what you do. Apart from the rule about an old stamp and telling us how old it is, the only other thing to remember is not to link up to more than ten challenges in total. Ingredients Card: Very Vanilla, Acetate window sheet, Early Espresso. Gold foil Stamps: Floral Phrases Ink: Early Espresso (inside and envelope), versamark Other: Gold embossing powder, Sunshine Wishes thinlits, dimensionals, Hearts embossing folder. All products Stampin' Up.
