Today's card is my rejected card from last nights basic grey colour collections blog hop. I thought it didn't have enough basic grey to me the focus as the main colour. Inside card What you do think, not basic gray...
We're back today at Fab Friday with a fun color combination challenge! Check out these beauties! I pulled these ink pads out the other day to begin mulling over ideas and I kept coming back to summer and the beach and relaxing. The colors reminded me of beach chairs and umbrellas. And since the ink pads were sitting next to some of my new catalog items I thought it was only natural to put it all together! So the rainy days this week didn't help with the photography and it certainly didn't feel like warm beach weather but I'm please with bright cheery results. Definitely no fancy stamping here, just some fun with the colors to create the striped background. I used the Thoughtful Banners stamp set to do the stripes as well as the sentiment in black. The stripes just alternate the challenge colors with some stamping off to vary the shades. I used the Stitched Shapes framelits to cut a circle out of Dapper Denim and then used the new Seasonal Layers thinlets to cut out the super cute Adirondack chair. I stamped little Rich Razzleberry cup (sounds like it could be a real drink right?) with a Calypso Coral straw to add to the arm of the chair. I used the new stamp set, Colorful Seasons for the cup. A white baker's twine bow and a Rich Razzleberry enamel heart finish off the details to this mostly CAS card. I hope you'll take a peek at the rest of the Fab Friday Design Team samples and then play along with us. Remember, our challenge runs for 2 weeks so that's plenty of time create and share! Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Well, the last card for class this week is with the Oh So Eclectic set. I used a Berry Burst base and layered it with a piece of Whisper White that I cut with the Eclectic Layers dies and placed some Naturally Eclectic DSP behind the cut out. I stamped the flowers and a leaf on Whisper White card stock and cut them and a few more leaves from Emerald Envy card stock. I stamped the flowers with first Berry Burst and then with Night of Navy. I colored a bit of the stem of top flower with a Emerald Envy marker and the center of the bottom flower with a Lemon Lime Twist marker. The sentiment was stamped with Night of Navy and I finished off with a Berry Burst crinkled ribbon bow. Hope you have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping by! Windy windyellard.stampinup.net Stamp set: Oh So Eclectic Ink: Berry Burst, Emerald Envy, Night of Navy Markers: Emerald Envy and Lemon Lime Twist Paper: Whisper White, Berry Burst, Emerald Envy Naturally Eclectic DSP Eclectic Layers thinslits dies, Berry Burst crinkled seam binding ribbon
I have finally had a play with the Eclectic Layers Thinlits and the Oh So Eclectic stamp set. I have used a piece of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper behind the Whisper White cardstock piece. The flowers have been stamped with Cajun Craze and the leaves with Old Olive. A Copper Trim bow was added to finish along with some Copper sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment. To make this card you need to the following pieces: Measurements A4 Thick Whisper White cardstock cut in half lenthways to create the card base A piece of Whisper White cardstock 8cm x 14.8cm A piece of Wood Textures DSP 10.5cm x 14.8cm Scraps of Whisper White cardstock to stamp the flowers and leaves Technique Fold card base. Adhere the piece of Wood Textures DSP to the card base. Stamp 2 large flowers (one for the inside) and 3 small flowers (one for the inside). This is a 2 step stamping process, no need to stamp off as the stamps have a watercolour effect to them. Stamp 3 sets of leaves (one for the inside). Cut out the stamped images using the matching Eclectic Layers Thinlits. Using the diamond decorative die cut out the diamond decorative centre on the piece of 8cm x 14.8cm Whisper White cardstock. Stamp the sentiment using Old Olive on the top right corner. I have used the Rose Wonder stamp set for the Thank You sentiment. You can use any sentiment that you wish. Adhere this panel to the card front on top of the Wood Textures DSP. Arrange the flowers and leaves on the card front and adhere in place. Add the Copper Trim bow and the Copper sequins to finish the card front. For the inside arrange a small floral arrangement in the bottom right corner and adhere in place. I had a 4.9cm x 14.8cm piece of the Wood Texture DPS left over from the 1st card, so using the same card sketch, some texture paste I created a second card. This way I did not have any small strips of DSP laying around. The measurements for this card are the same as the 1st card. The stamp sets used are Label Me Pretty and Oh So Eclectic along with the Label Punch and the Eclectic Layers Thinlits. This is the last card in the Oh So Eclectic Sweet Suite Class. The die cut image reminds me of a garden trellis. To add some more texture to the flowers, I colored the faceted gems with the Dark Razzleberry Stampin' Blends. I can almost smell the flowers! Hello crafty friends, Todays card uses the new Eclectic Layers Thinlits and a few thinlits from other bundles, with the awesomely fun Embossing Paste and Decorative Masks. I am onto my second pot of embossing paste it is seriously so much fun and love the texture it provides. I mixed a little Pool Party Ink with some embossing paste and using one of the four decorative masks applied a small amount diagonally across the whisper white card front. Floral and leaf die cuts were made using the Eclectic Layers thinlits, Jar of Love and Falling Flowers. I used three different blue toned card stock - Dapper Denim, Pool Party and Tempting Turquoise. The Thanks sentiment from Jar of Love was inked in Dapper Denim and stamped onto the Whisper White card front. The card front was adhered to a layer of Pool Party and Dapper Denim before adhering to the card base. Until next time, stay awesome

This is me doing a happy dance because the Man in Brown brought a big box of NEW GOODIES for me to play with! Of course, as soon as I opened the box I had to stop dancing....kinda hard to stamp straight if you're wiggling, ya know. The first thing I wanted to play with was the Oh So Eclectic bundle, because I LOVE the flowers, and I LOVE the coordinating die set! The stamp sets are available in either clear-mount, or wood-mount. You can purchase the stamps and dies separately or bundle them and save 10%! I had a 2" x 6" scrap piece of Color Theory DSP, and found the 2" width fits perfectly behind the die cut! I think the Crushed Curry ombre is just lovely, and is the perfect background for the Fresh Fig flowers (say that five times fast!). I really should be getting the rest of my garden planted, but I can't drag myself out of the craft room! Maybe I'll wait until it cools off later today. Meanwhile, I'll play a bit more. If I do a load of laundry, perhaps I can convince my hubby that I'm being productive. Here's the "How To" Flowers/leaves: Shimmery White scraps Die cut background: Shimmery White 3" x 4-1/4" Mat: Fresh Fig 3-1/8" x 4-3/8" DSP: Color Theory 2" x 4-1/4" Card base: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored & folded at 4-1/4" Stamp plus signs in Crushed Curry ink on card base, as shown. Cut Shimmery White background with the diamond die, having die centered. Use dots of liquid glue to attach DSP behind it. Adhere to Fresh Fig mat. Stamp vertical greeting in black as shown. Attach to card base with dimensionals. Stamp leaves in Garden Green on a scrap of Shimmery White. Stamp large flower in Fresh Fig and color with a Blender Pen and Fresh Fig ink. Color flower center with Crushed Curry. Use corresponding dies to cut them out. Color smaller flower with Fresh Fig Stampin' Write Marker and the stem with Garden Green marker, using the marker to stamp technique. Huff on the stamp to re-moisten ink and stamp. Color flower and stem with Blender Pen in ink. Use corresponding die to cut it out. Attach flowers and leaves to background with dimensionals. Add Glitter Enamel dots. Oh So Eclectic SSINKC46 Sketch Challenge Card Featuring Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach, and Naturally Eclectic DSP
Hello, sweet Peaches and happy Wednesday! I have a quick post/card for you today, using the "Oh So Eclectic" stamp set and coordinating dies. I just love how these dies all work so differently. In the die set, for example, there are the regular dies that cut out various shapes, there are some that will only cut out patterned sections, and there are even ones that only emboss into your cardstock for a simple, yet unique and textured look. I've used the first type to cut my leaves, the second for the diamond-shaped layer behind my heart, and the last type to emboss leaf patterns along the diagonal of my Peekaboo Peach cardstock. I also created a watercolor background to peek out from behind my heart and die cut background. I used Bermuda Bay, Peekaboo Peach, and a little Lemon Lime Twist, with my Wink of Stella pen. I really like how all the layers created so much dimension. Well, that's my card for today! Thanks so much for stopping by and see you next post! Check out these AMAZING deals happening in July! A Male card with some Bling? I know it sound impossible but here is how I made it simple using Wood Textures Paper Stack and some scraps of Glimmer paper, Card Stock, Vellum and Ink. I chose my favourite piece of the Wood Textures Paper Stack and Layered it on a piece of Island Indigo card stock. I used the Eclectic Layers geometric Thinlit and cut into a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper I then trimmed it out with Paper Snips to create the base for my sentiment. I cut HAPPY out from the Happy Birthday Thinlit in Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo once again in using the Big Shot trimming the bottom of the sentiment to separate it from the birthday portion, both these pieces were layered and offset. I stamped Birthday from the Birthday Delivery stamp set in Island Indigo ink onto a scrap of Vellum to let the Glimmer Paper shine through. The wood layered piece was then adhered to a Thick Whisper White card base using Stampin' Dimensionals. Zo leuk! To stay with the new products, I'd like to share a card with you today that I made with the stamps and the matching framelits from the Oh So Eclectic bundle. Just stunning this bundle is! To me the big checkered framelits made me buy this gorgeous set. So much fun! Prachtig! The base of this card is Whisper White Cardstock with Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock up front and then again a piece of Whisper White ofcourse. The last one I stamped and ran the checkered framelits with it through my Big Shot. Behind the pattern you can find a piece of design paper from the Perfect Days Memories & More Card Pack. Did you see already? This set also has embossing framelits. These are the leaves on this card that are pressed into the paper, but not cut out. Gorgeous! With the fun flowers and leaves on the front, I finished the card with Silver Metallic Thread and a few Rhinestones. I stamped the text with Versamark and embossed it with White Emboss Powder and a heat tool. I'd like to send this card in to the running challenge at TGIF Challenges. This weeks challenge is a color challenge containing the colors Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide. Bedankt voor het kijken, tot de volgende keer! Thanks for visiting, see you next time!
