Hi Everyone! I'm back from a small vacation over the 4th of July Week. Wow!! How did that time fly so fast?? I'm left with some great memories: Golfing (twice!), fishing, hammocking, 'down time', good times with family and friends, and yummy food. As it was, we grilled a lot so the bulk of the cooking fell to my husband. (I love that!) He's the only person I know who can grill chicken breasts or pork chops and make them taste like you just ordered them at the most exquisite and expensive restaurant. He does it just perfect and they

Hello stampers and happy Thursday to you. Today I am sharing my Hope & Prayer Stack and Shuffle cards. Hope & Prayer is a beautiful stamp set and the stack and shuffle technique is perfect for making a stack of simply stunning sympathy cards. I hope you like them as much as I do!! Let's take a look. Hope & Prayer Hope & Prayer is a stamp set with four images and four sayings. It is not only suited for sympathy cards but also for thinking of you and thank you. Use this stamp set to uplift your
Finding time to stamp the last few days has been tough! I thought I was in good shape with Christmas stuff a week ago and now all of a sudden I seem to have a mile long to-do list! But I have so many new products I want to try out that I'm squeezing in a bit of stamping whenever I can! I used the CASE the designer challenge at Inspire.Create for my card today. Using the layout made this one come together quickly (except for the coloring!). I started with a Pebbled Path base then added a layer of Basic White. On the Basic White layer I arranged my strips of Nature's Sweetness DSP around the outside edges to make a nice little frame for he star of the show! I stamped the image in Pecan Pie then pulled out my colored pencils. The coloring really didn't take that long at all and before I knew it I had beautiful almond branch. Next it was die cut it and popped up on dimensionals on the card front. For the sentiment I wanted to try out the new Thoughtful Moments Hybrid embossing folder. This one has 10 different sentiments on it and comes with a large die that cuts out each of the sentiments as well a bunch of smaller dies that are shapes to accent the sentiments like hearts, stars and flowers. The neat thing about this hybrid design is that you can ink up the embossing folder with the new brayer and get a cool inked outline around the embossed words. I gave it a go and after a few practice tries with color/paper combos I got one I liked but it was a little stark so I ended up filling in the open space with my Pecan Pie light blends marker. I know I'll be using this set of products a lot in the coming months! The only embellishments that I thought this design needed were a few retired adhesive-backed speckled dots which go well with the green of the leaves. All of the current products used to make this card can be purchased in my ONLINE STORE. Products marked with a * will be available starting January 4, 2024. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Lovely & Sweet* Ink: Pecan Pie Colored Pencils: Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie, Old Olive, Early Espresso, Calypso Coral Blends: Pecan Pie light Paper: Pebbled Path, Basic White, Nature's Sweetness DSP* Accessories: Thoughtful Moments Hybrid embossing folder/dies*, dimensionals, adhesive-backed speckled dots (retired)

Welcome to a Week 2 of the Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week we continue our journey through the New In Colours for 2024-26 Stampin' Up!, working in alphabetical order. This week our feature colour is the lovely Petunia Pop which is a lovely Violet colour and one of my favourite of the new In Colours. This week, for me, it's all about the gorgeous new Designer Series Paper, Thoughtful Journey, which features, Petunia Pop along with a host of other gorgeous colours such as Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Mossy Meadow and lots of others, but for me Petunia Pop stood out in many of the sheets. The paper is a 6" by 6" and one side is gorgeous serene vistas and the other abstract patterns. In each of my cards I have teamed Petunia Pop with Mossy Meadow and Basic White. Along with featuring the paper I am also featuring another part of the Thoughtful Journey Suite of products, the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set and coordinating dies. For my first card I have chosen the "Triple Layer technique", one I have wanted to try for sometime and I thought the paper was perfect for it. The paper has been die cut using Deckled Rectangle dies and mounted on to Petunia Pop Card. The foliage has been either stamped and coloured in Mossy Meadow, or the stamp set coloured with markers and then stamped. Both have been die cut with the corresponding dies. The sentiment is also from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set and has been stamped in Petunia Pop and die cut once again using a Deckled Rectangle die. Finally a few coloured In Colour Shimmer Gems have been added. For my second card I have featured different piece of the Thoughtful Journey DSP but this time die cut using one of the Radiating Stitiches dies. The base of the card has been embossed using the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder and the sprigs on the left have been die cut using one of the Painted Lavender dies. Once again the sentiment is from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set but this time die cut using one of the Something Fancy dies. I've turned the orientation around for my final card and used a different piece of the Thoughtful Journey DSP. For the stamp in the centre panel I have once again used the Marker to Stamp technique using Petunia Pop and Mossy Meadow. The sprigs have been die cut using White card one of the Thoughtful Wishes dies and then coloured using Stampin Blends. The ribbon is from the new Petal Pink and White Diagonal Trim Combo pack. This time the sentiment is from the new Unbounded Love stamp set and has been die cut using a couple of the Unbounded Love dies. This time the embellishments used are Iridescent Pearls. Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Ros Davidson . I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation as Ros loves to use the Colour Coach combinations. If the "next" button link is not working or you would like to see a full list of participants then you can hop over to our host Cathy Proctor where you can see a full list of tonight's participants. As always enjoy your week.Theresa

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is FOR THE KIDS. I'm looking forward to seeing what the design team did with littles as inspiration. I went with a baby card using the Rocking Horse bundle that will be available on Sep. 6th in the holiday catalog. The teddy bear and alphabet blocks reminded me of a sweet baby girl's nursery, so I used pink and grey as the basic card colors. But this would work equally well for a baby boy by using blue, or gender-neutral using green or yellow. That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. “I had often thought of recreating one or two cards in my own style, but it wasn’t until quarantine that I saw a grand opportunity to create the entire series.”
Today I'm sharing some emboss resist cards we made a few weeks ago. We used SU's set Fine Feathers. First we masked off the card, then embossed some feathers with white embossing powder. Then we sponged with Marina Mist and Baja Breeze, and came back with some feathers in baked brown sugar. This was so fun, we also did some cards with ferns, I'll be posting those another time!

Today I played along with the Mojo Monday 283 sketch. Welcome to a new challenge at Colour INKspiration! This striking colour palette was chosen for us by Crew Member Lou Kitzelman. If you haven't played with us before, we are a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from the South Pacific. Challenges are shown and entered via our Facebook Group page. If you don't belong, and would like to, click here. Don't forget to answer the three easy questions you'll be asked when you ask to join the group. Each challenge, Top Picks and a winner are chosen by the crew and the winner offered a chance to Guest Design with us for a future challenge, although there is no Guest Designer for this challenge as we unusually had less than ten entries. If you don't have an exact challenge colour, feel free to replace it with whatever you have that's closest. - for example Garden Green for Shaded Spruce. Black, White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics are free colours, as are flesh toned Stampin' Blends. The colours whispered that they were florals but I wanted something a little more than a floral spray, so I turned to what is fast becoming my favourite suite from the new catalogue, Texture Chic. This suite offers a stamp/die bundle (and oh, what a bundle!) plus gorgeous Distressed Gold Specialty paper and stunning Texture Chic Specialty DSP with its opulent touches of gold. There are images for every season: seashells, flowers, leaves and snowflakes along other grungy elements and a heap of fabulous sentiments. Although the seashells are my favourite, I went for the flowers and leaves on this one. I stamped two flowers in Blushing Bride on Whisper White. I die cut them plus an outline in Blushing Bride. I die cut the outline overlay from the Distressed Gold Specialty paper and some stamens in the same paper and Blushing Bride, then assembled the three central flowers. I cut various leaves from Shaded Spruce and Soft Succulent and some smaller die cut flowers from the Distressed Gold Specialty paper so I had plenty to play with when making up the cluster. The netting grid in behind is die cut from Shaded Spuce. I used the grunge splatter stamps to build a stamped background on the card front before adding the strips of DSP from the Texture Chic Specialty DSP pack then layering up the cluster. The embellishments are from the 2021-2023 In Colour Opal Rounds. Aren't they a fabulous addition to the bling stable? I'm very interested to see what everyone does with these interesting colours. Visit the Colour INKspiration site to check out the album of Crew Cards for inspiration. You can also add your entry there. We all enjoy seeing what you do with our colour palettes, so join in!
