Hi Crafter! How are you today? Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello! I'm in the midst of showing you all the designs we made at Stamp Camp in January 2019. You're invited to Stamp Camp September 2019! I'd love to craft with you! More info below on Stamp Camp xx I just love making these 3D wall arts! This time we're using the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle, which isn't a new set, but it was just perfect for this scene. The grass & firefly stamps are from the Jar of Love stamp set. The stars are from the Balloon Celebration stamp set. First we added the grass in Night of Navy, Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizazz & Crushed Curry. Then the sponging in order of colours from bottom up are: Pear Pizazz, So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo, Gorgeous Grape & Night of Navy. Then we stamped the dragonflies in Pear Pizazz, then heat embossed the stars in silver & heat embossed the fireflies in gold. The dragonflies are die cut in Champagne Foil & attached with Dimensionals. Lastly, I added a few Metallic Assortment Sequins. The dried bottlebrush twig is from my garden & I've just trapped it in the edge of the frame, rather than gluing it in place. And this is everyone's together. And a YouTube Video with lots of tips & tricks. Please give it the thumbs up & subscribe to my channel so you never miss a video. This was actually inspired by a card I made back in 2016... Which was a CASE of Wendy Cranford's card: I hope you have enjoyed my projects today & that they have inspired you to get crafty! Welcome to our monthly blog hop showcasing the wonderful products by Stampin' Up! This time a project with the Beetles & Bugs stamp set.
Stamps, paper and ink… that’s what stamping is all about… and this card illustrates that perfectly. Last week, I attended Stampin’ Up!’s “On Stage” semi-annual event. It was a wonderful experience, and of course, I had the opportunity to meet and create with many exceptionally talented ladies. Along with the social and stamping time, we were […]

Metal meets nature. That is the theme of this card. Have you tried embossing the Layered Leaves with the silver foil sheets? The effect is stunning! to add even more drama to the card I used the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits to create the beautiful black dragonfly. Things in life can be simply elegant just by being simple. Good Morning Everyone, It's Sunday, so that means we have a Share it on a Sunday for you. This week we are creating Monotone projects. Now, i'll be honest I have a tendency to overthink this theme and think it needs to be 'more' than it is. So I jumped in with both feet and just created, using a selection of brown tones and a splash of vanilla - I love how this has turned out. Measurements Crumb Cake Card Stock 1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8" Early Espresso Card Stock 1pc - 5 7/8" x 2 1/4" scraps Sahara Sand Card Stock 1pc - 5 7/8" x 2" Very Vanilla Card Stock 1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8" scrap Take the Crumb Cake card stock and fold along the score link. Stamp the butterfly cluster all over the card front in crumb cake. Add a cluster to the large piece of very vanilla in the top right hand corner. Ink up the meadow flowers in early espresso ink and add the top half of it to the bottom left hand corner. Stick this panel to the inside of the card. Ink up the meadow flowers again in early espresso ink but this time stamp onto the strip of Sahara Sand. Stamp this towards the bottom of the strip. Stamp the sentiment Above and layer this strip to the early espresso piece. Adhere this to the card front towards the left. Stamp a large Dragonfly onto a scrap of very Vanilla and cut out using the Dragonfly Punch. Once the ink is dry, add lots of wink of Stella to the wings. You will pull a small amount of the brown but that's ok. Cut out two smaller dragonflies in early espresso Cardstock and cover with more wink of Stella. Add all your dragonflies to the card front with dimensionals. Finally add some wink of Stella to the Flowers Thanks for taking a look at my card today, please head on over to see what Donna and Karen have both made Taffy Crafting Crafty Karen Designs Here's a list of the supplies I used in today's card. Happy Friday! Today I'm sharing one of the quick and easy cards we made at the Stamp-a-Stack last Sunday. I CASEd the idea from Mary Fish over at www.stampinpretty.com when she did a similar card using the butterfly thinlits. Check it out ... I just finished putting 10 of these together last night, with the leftovers from Sunday. Seriously. So quick! Standard card base of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Top Whisper White layer of 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" Sweet Sugarplum Layer of 3 1/2" plus two ticks x 4 3/4" plus two ticks :) Any DSP of your choice cut 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" - I used patterns from the Falling in Love pack Step 1: Run the top Whisper White layer through the Big Shot using the Dragonfly Dreams thinlits. I used the magnetic plate plus the precision plate for this cut but be warned - you aren't SUPPOSE to use the magnetic plate with the precision plate. Why? The pressure is a little too much for the clear cutting plate and it warps it quite badly. Why do I use it? This one particular die just needs the extra pressure to cult all the way through. With other plate combinations I need to keep adding card stock shims underneath and … well … it's just a pain … so I sacrifice a clear plate and if it warps it warps. It's ok … I can buy another one *lol* Step 2: Stamp your sentiment using Rich Razzleberry ink - I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Rose Wonder set Step 3: Tape the DSP square to the back of the white base - TIP - apply the tape to the back of the white layer, not to the DSP … I can pretty much guarantee if you put the tape on the DSP you'll end up with tape showing through the hole you just cut! Step 4: Use your bone folder to curl the dragonfly wings up. You have the wing between your thumb and the bone folder … like the old days when we used to curl ribbon with our scissors … Step 5: Use a small piece of foam strip on the dragonfly torso and attach it to the DSP Step 6: Attach the white layer to the Sweet Sugarplum layer with dimensionals Step 7: Attach the Sweet Sugarplum layer to the white base using snail adhesive. Step 8: Attach some rhinestones to finish it off Done! LOVE how quick it comes together. This is a great card for most occasions making it a great one for a Stamp-a-Stack! OK … guess I should run. I'm in the middle of figuring out a new videoconferencing system (called Zoom) so my long distance downline members can join me virtually for my Breakfast Stamping Spectacular Feb 25th. Wanna join us? Canadian crafters who buy the Starter Kit through my by Feb 24th and you can! Message for more info. Enjoy your Friday - I hope it's a stampy one! Tam
Hello Friends! Each month I have a Stamp-a-Stack and each one is based on a different bundle or stamp set. The March bundle was Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and Detailed Dragonfly dies. Here's the last
It's a sunny, cool day outside today in Midland, Michigan. The high temp for today is 57F with a low of 31F for tonight. The wind is S at 5 to 10mph. My share for today is a few more Cards that Donna Griffith designed and shared with us during Stampin' Up!'s OnStage. Donna is an amazing designer and I loved her presentation. Let's take a look: Well, I can't find the exact Card that Donna shared with us at Stampin' Up!'s OnStage; but, I can tell you about it. The Card Base was Mossy Meadow Cardstock and she used the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set to stamp the entire Card Base with Dragonflies in Mossy Meadow Ink. The first Card Front Panel was Bumblebee Cardstock and she adhered three Strips from the Dandy Garden 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper. The Second Card Front Panel, Donna stamped the Dragonflies in Bumblebee Ink onto a panel of Whisper White Cardstock and the Sentiment in Mossy Meadow Ink. She stamped another Dragonfly onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and used the Dragonflies Punch to Punch it out. She then adhered it to the Panel with Stampin' Dimensionals as shown in the picture above. And, of course, I had to make some of my own Cards using Donna's layout. My Card Base is Calypso Coral. I stamped the Dragonflies in Calypso Coral Ink over the entire Card Base. My First Card Front Panel is Bumblebee Cardstock. I chose Mossy Meadow colored patterns for my Strips of Cardstock from the Dandy Garden DSP. I stamped my Sentiment in Mossy Meadow Ink. I stamped my Dragonflies in Bumblebee Ink. I adhered three of the Ladybug Trinkets as shown in the picture above. For my next Card, my Card Base is Bumblebee Cardstock. I stamped the Dragonflies in Bumblebee Ink over the entire Card Base. My First Card Front Panel is Mossy Meadow Cardstock. I chose Mossy Meadow and Bumblebee colored patterns for my Strips of Cardstock from the Dandy Garden DSP. I stamped my Sentiment in Mossy Meadow Ink. I stamped my Dragonflies in Calypso Coral Ink. I adhered three of the Ladybug Trinkets as shown in the picture above. I'll share the last of Donna's layouts' with you tomorrow!!! Thank you so much Donna for the awesome presentation!!! Tell someone you LOVE them and/or give someone an AIR HUG today!!! Have a Blessed Day!!! If you have any questions about ordering or want instructions to make any of my Cards and/or Projects, please e-mail my at dodge3670 at aol dot com. The Dandy Garden Suite is ‘my’ suite. I love everything about it. Many Suites are lovely but none has spoken to me like this one has. But which stamp set is best? Garden Wishes? Or Dragonfly Garden? I couldn’t decide so had to have both. In fact, I think I ordered the entire Suite Collection. To justify my investment, I decided to hold a big event. Normally I would hold an all-day event at this time of year, hire a local hall and get together with customers for a fun day of crafting. We may not be able to meet in person but I wasn’t going to let lockdown stop me from holding my event. So, just as I have been doing since last spring, I held it on Zoom. This was a day of choices. I realised that not everyone would want to spend an entire day Zooming so offered the opportunity to book just for the morning or the afternoon. Turns out everyone was quite happy to spend the whole day on Zoom after all! I couldn’t decide whether to run it with the Dragonfly Garden or the Garden Wishes stamp set... so I gave the guests a choice. Of course, this meant I had to make double the samples but it did show off the versatility of the sets beautifully. Both sets feature a tall flower stamp. Both feature a beautiful insect. And both co-ordinate with the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper. Everyone received half a pack of this, giving them lots of options – and it also meant everyone who chose the Dragonfly Garden stamp set could cut out bees from the DSP, and everyone who chose the Garden Wishes stamp set could cut out dragonflies, just as you can see in the cards above. The top card has a dragonfly cut from the Designer Series Paper, while the bottom one is stamped and lightly coloured in. We made so many projects that I am going to split them across two blog posts. Please come back on Thursday to see the second batch. Half of the day was spent making these four cards. This one is probably my favourite, using gorgeous Blackberry Bliss. I blended some ink around the bottom of the white cardstock using Blending Brushes. Those who don’t yet have these amazing brushes could use a sponge instead. To get the spatter effect, squeeze your ink pad to create a pool of ink in the lid. Using a wet (but not too wet) paintbrush, pick up some of this ink and splash this across the card. I do this by holding the paintbrush horizontally and tapping the top. NB: The wetter your paint brush, the bigger and paler the spatters will be. I made these Bumblebee cards deliberately different, to showcase the versatility of the DSP. They look so different with the bold designs on the right, or the subtle Bumblebee designs on the left, but which do you prefer? I can’t really decide. When attaching strips of DSP in a design like this, start with the two outer edge pieces, then finish off with the centre. That way you retain an even border around the outside edges of the card. This card again shows the versatility of the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper. The card on the left uses a bumblebee cut out of the DSP, while the one on the right is stamped from the Garden Wishes stamp set. The images in the DSP meant nobody had to miss out, regardless of the stamp set they had chosen for their kit. If you love these products as much as I do, I would urge you to act fast. No, they’re not going anywhere but if you order before the end of February, you can take advantage of Sale-a-Bration. Order both of the above and you can of course choose TWO Sale-a-Bration items or one Level 2 SAB item. If you are in the UK and would like to order, please visit my store and, if you use the February host code D6PKN76U, I’ll send you a thank you gift in March! To make it easy for you, please shop using this link However, for the best value of all, I would recommend the Starter Kit, which gives you £130 of craft supplies of your choice, plus five packs of Designer Series Paper worth £53.75. It’s shipped to you free of charge and entitles you to discounts and sneak peeks. Please do message me via my website to find out more or click here to get started. Please message me via my website
I was designing a card for my Team Swap a few weeks ago and decided to use the Dragonfly Dreams and Inside the Lines Designer paper. I thought they went beautifully together. Dragonfly Dreams is a beautiful new stamp and dies bundle in the Occasions catalog. It was among my top 5 picks! The Inside the Lines designer paper is from our Sale-a-Bration catalog; it's one of the free choices you can get with a $50 order. It's meant for...

I got design idea for this card from fellow Demo, Wendy Klein. I never would have thought to use Designer Series Paper for the detailed dragonfly thinlit. It's gorgeous in person, and I can't get a photograph to do it justice. Stamp the images from Timeless Textures stamp set in Smoky Slate ink. Stamp the splatters in Versamark and then use Copper embossing powder. Sponge Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate inks over the images.
