Good Morning Everyone Happy New Year to you all, I hope you have a fabulous time over the Christmas period. We had lots of fun celebrating, but it's nice to get back into a routine again. So, speaking of a Routine - We are back with our Share it on a Sunday series, which will be coming out twice a month! We are very excited to get this back in the diary, and we hope you are too. This week, we are all CASEing A Catalogue. I have decided to use the Boughs and Blossoms bundle from our new Mini Catalogue which is out on the 4th of Jan. I can't show you yet the exact project I CASEd but its very similar except I went for bold and bright using our 2020-2022 in colours. Measurements Magenta Madness Cardstock 1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8" Basic White card Stock 1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8" Cardstock scraps Misty Moonlight, Bumblebee and Just Jade 2020 - 22 In Colour DSP Scraps Misty Moonlight, Bumblebee, Just Jade and Magenta Madness ------------------------------------ Take the Magenta Madness Cardstock and fold along the score line to create your card base, add the basic white card Stock to the inside. Cut out a postage stamp shape from the Just Jade, Misty Moonlight and Bumblebee card stock. Stamp the images in versamark and heat embossing using white powder. Adhere a small piece of the DSP to the same coloured card Stock and then punch out a stamp shape making sure you have a small portion of the DSP covering the cardstock and an angle. Also cut out a stamp shape in the Magenta Madness DSP. Arrange all these pieces onto the card front, adding dimensionals to a few and using liquid glue for others to get height difference and some additional interest. Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of Magenta Madness Cardstock in versamark and heat wmboss with white again. Trim and add to the same colour DSP shape on the card front. Finally punch out some of the shapes in basic white using the Bough Punch and add these to the non embossed areas. Happy Sunday, friends! Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players! This week, the always fabulous Joanne is hosting our Color Challenge. Talk about a fun color combo! So bright and cheery, it just puts me in the mood for spring. Of course, what goes perfectly with the spring season? Flowers! For my card, I decided to use the Boughs & Blossoms stamp set and coordinating Bough Punch from the Stampin’ Up!® January - June Mini Catalog. Such a fun bundle to create beautiful cards for so many occasions! *I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post. I started by stamping a trio of flowers in Mango Melody ink and colored in the centers with the Daffodil Delight Light Stampin’ Blends. These flowers are pretty easy to fussy-cut and after I cut them out I accented them with some Wink of Stella for sparkly detail. The punch is great because it has two sizes of leaf accents. For the larger leaves, I used a Sponge Dauber to add some Pear Pizzazz ink for shading and of course, more Wink of Stella. The sparkle is tough to see in the photos but it really adds a nice detail! In my hunt for Daffodil Delight patterned paper, I came upon this fun print from the Hand Penned Designer Series Paper. I just love the simple, subtle pattern. I also used the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder to the Basic White layer for a pop of texture. I went back and forth a few times about adding that third flower in the top right corner. I have a “crafty quirk” about adding pieces in odd numbers. (Three flowers, seven leaves, three pearls…) But if you didn’t want to fussy-cut an extra flower, just using two also works! I love how this card came out and I hope you do as well. :) Card Measurements & Details: Mango Melody Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” Pear Pizzazz Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4” Basic White Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, emboss with Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder Hand Penned Designer Series Paper: 2-7/8” x 3-3/4” Pear Pizzazz Cardstock: scraps to punch three of the larger leaf images using the Boughs Punch (add some Pear Pizzazz ink with a Sponge Dauber for some shading, then accent with Wink of Stella) Vellum Cardstock: scraps to punch four of the smaller leafy branch images from the Boughs Dies Basic White Cardstock: scraps to stamp thee floral images in Mango Melody ink, color centers with Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends and fussy-cut Basic White Cardstock: 2-3/8” x 1/2”, stamp sentiment in Early Espresso ink and punch the right side with the Banners Pick A Punch Pearl Basic Jewels and Linen Thread Basic White Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-14” , stamp image once in Pear Pizzazz ink (full strength) and again without reinking the image Hand Penned Designer Series Paper (inside card): 1/2” x 5-1/4” Finally, here is look inside the card. I simply added another strip of DSP and then stamped a coordinating image, once full strength in Pear Pizzazz ink and once stamped-off once. I left the rest of the inside of the card blank to add a handwritten thank you note. I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our fab Color Challenge. Thanks for joining in our training Blog Hop! You are in for a treat. You will be able to hop along with Stampin Up® demonstrators from around the world and see some wonderful cards. Now we all do "Thank you" themed cards because we all feel like there are so many people in our lives that we can show our gratitude towards! For this card I used the Boughs & Blossoms bundle and brought in some friends to help give this card a little extra pop! I am often inspired by other demonstrators with either layouts or color combinations and I know I was inspired by several cards I viewed from fellow demonstrators. I just took all the parts and pieces from them and combined them to make this card! Below you will find the card cuts, instructions, supply list and link to a video I did for this card. Now if you have never done a Blog Hop all you have to do is click on the name right after mine and you will be transported to the next demonstrators blog! Please note that I have positioned the video link and supply list after the Blog Hop list so once you are done hopping check back here and scroll on down for those links! Enjoy! Card Cuts: Card Base: Highland Heather - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 Card Stock- Basic White: (4) 4 x 5 1/4; 4 x 3 1/4 (cut @ angle) and 1 1/4 x 3 -Highland Heather - 4 1/4 x 3 1/2 (cut @ angle) Specialty Paper - 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum -Evening Evergreen - 2 x 4 -Fresh Freesia - 2 x 3 Instructions: 1. Cut the 4 x 3 1/4 Basic White piece at an angle. 2. Run both this piece and one of the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White pieces through the Gingham Embossing Folder. Set aside. 3. On one of the other 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White pieces stamp one of the flower images in the lower right hand corner in Gorgeous Grape as shown in picture above for the inside of the card. 4. On the other two 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White pieces stamp the following: (Note: make sure to leave enough room to either fussy cut out or use the Bough Punch) *Using Gorgeous Grape ink stamp the more detailed flower and one of the small three flowered image. *Using Highland Heather ink stamp the 2 of the flower image with the dots in the center. *Using Fresh Freesia ink stamp (2) of the small three flowered image. *Using Evening Evergreen ink stamp (2) of the small leaf with two leaves on it. *Using Soft Succulent ink stamp (2) of the larger leaf with 6 leaves on it. *Using Mint Macaron ink stamp (4) of the fern looking leaves. 5. Next fussy cut all the items you just stamped. Set Aside. 6. Cut the 4 1/4 x 3 1/2 Highland Heather piece at an angle. Then adhere the angled Basic White embossed piece to this piece. Set Aside. 7. Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 embossed Basic White piece to the card front. 8. Adhere the angled piece to the piece from step 7 placing tear and tape along the left edge and bottom edge only. (Note: You don't want any tape where the pocket will be so that you can build your flower arrangement) Place piece in the lower left corner. 9. Using the Bough Punch punch out three of the leaves from the Evening Evergreen Shimmer Vellum and 2 of the flowers from the Fresh Freesia Shimmer Vellum. Set aside. 10. Next you will add the ribbon to the front of the angled pocket using Mini glue dots. *You will need to start off the left edge and lay it at an angle toward the bottom. * Then you will fold ribbon towards the center to form the loops on each end. *Note: you do not need a ton of glue dots as you will be added flowers on top of this to help hold it in place. 11. Flower arrangement: I will list the order that I added items to the arrangement but use you creativity and build your own if you want to: * Add Mini Dimensionals to the back of the Gorgeous Grape flower (make sure to keep them in the center so that you will be able to fit other pieces behind it) and apply it to the center of the ribbon but not all the way on the ribbon you want it to be more towards the bottom left corner. *Next using Liquid glue I placed the Highland Heather flowers behind the Gorgeous Grape flower on top of the ribbon. (Note: I did use a bone folder to curve up some of the leaves) *Next you will bring in the Evening Evergreen leaves and place them behind the Gorgeous Grape flower one on the left side one on the right side. (again use your bone folder to fold up the leaves) *So now we will build the arrangement pieces that go down into the pocket. First using Liquid glue I place two Mint Macaron fern images, then I added the Soft Succulent leaves and two of the Evening Evergreen Shimmer leaves. (See photo for placements). *Once you've built up into the pocket then add the two of the ferns behind the pieces on the front of the pocket along with the small three flowers images and the Fresh Freesia Shimmer piece. (Again see photo above for placements) 12. Next stamp the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink onto the 1 1/4 x 3 piece. Then cut it out using the one of the label dies from the Tasteful Label Die set. (Note: if you don't have this set then pick a label die that you have. *Using Dimensionals adhere to the card front in the upper right section as shown. 13. Add three pastel pearls to the card front as desired. 14. Last adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic white piece that you stamped the flower on earlier to the inside of the card. (Note: I usually do not stamp a sentiment on the inside of my Thank you cards as I like to write my own note of thanks) You are all done! Now it's time to do some hopping. Don't forget once your done hopping to pop back by and scroll down to see the supply list and link to my video! Hello Peeps !!! Happy Thursday !!! I used a few elements on this card and ewhen I did finish it, I was really happy with the result. 1. I first started using the Gingham EF and did very light sponging to bring out the color. I then used Basic White card base to glue my embossed background. 2. I used two different die cuts to make my DSP panel. 3. I already pre-punch and cut my flowers and leaves. 4. I stamped my sentiment in Polished Pink ink. 5. All the pieces were mounted in dimensionals. Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by. I used the Stampin’ Up! Boughs & Blossoms stamp set bundle to create a quick thank you card to share with you today.
I have a crafty friend that I meet with regularly and we like to make cards in bulk and donate them to several charities. So we are always looking for cards to CASE that are simple but pretty. I came across this one and thought it would be perfect for Mothers Day cards. Actually, they would be perfect for alot of occasions and because I couldn't decide when I made this one, I deliberately left the greeting off the card. This jumped out at me because I was looking for a card to make that would use the Simply Marbellous Designer Papers. So because the background is quite busy and the paper design is doing all the work, we didn't want to over do the stamped designs. The colour combo for the stamped images is Pale Papaya, Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive. When I finally decide what greeting to use on this card, I can simply stamp it on the front. Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today. All items used to make this card feature below and are available in my online store and the Simply Marbellous papers are FREE on a qualifying order only during Sale-a-bration which ends on March 16th (Aus\. Good Morning Everyone Happy Monday, We have a brand new Colour combination over on Creative Colour Challenges. It's Just Jade, Crumb Cake & Blushing Bride. I think this combo is fabulous - such a soft palette to work with. I went for the Boughs & Blossoms stamp set as I thought it would just look lovely - What do you think? Measurements Just Jade Card Stock 1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8" Crumb Cake Card Stock 1pc - scrap Basic White Card Stock 1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8" scraps ------------------------------------ Take the Just Jade card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base and add the basic white piece to the inside. Run the crumb cake scrap through your Stamp n Emboss Machine with the largest hexagon from Beautiful Shapes Dies. Ink the Edges of this with crumb cake ink. On scraps of basic white stamp a selection of flowers, leaves and foliage in all three of the colours along with the Thank You sentiment. Fussy cut all these images as well as the wording - cutting the sentiment into two words. Add the Hexagon to the card front in the middle towards the right. Adhere the wording to the Hexagon, again towards the right. Then using all your fussy cut flowers and leaves, build up a cluster around the left of the hexagon. Use both dimensionals and liquid glue to get lots of different height and depth. It's a super easy card, and after the fussy cutting its so quick to put together and I think you could take the design and switch up the colours and sentiment to create a huge variety of different cards. Please do head on over to Creative Colour Challenges and see what it's all about, and maybe even enter yourself.
