Hi stampers! Today I'm sharing a project featuring a brand new set in this year's catalog called Botanical Bliss. You'll find it on page 20 of the Stampin' Up! 2018-19 catalog, available in either wood or clear mount. This set is bundled with a coordinating framelit set called Botanical Tags. The stamp set and fram
If you're like me, you usually think of a tag as something to tie on a package. Today, I'm letting this tag from the Botanical Bliss bundle take center stage on the front of my card.
October 26, 2018 Here is another Botanical Bliss card using the Tufted Embossing Folder- LOVE that folder! I die cut the birds thinlit inside the Stitched Shapes Framelit at the same time. I put so…
Hello and thanks for stopping by today. My cards are for this week's Global Design Project Colour Challenge and use the three colours below: With the upcoming Confirmation of my two daughters and two of their friends, I needed four cards and decided to use the colour combination as my starting point. The flowers from the Botanical Tags Thinlits have been cut from a piece of Shimmery White cardstock water coloured with Grapefruit Grove. The one on the right has also been layered onto the water coloured paper. The background crosses are from the Healing Hugs stamp set and are stamped in Mint Macaron. "May God bless and keep you" is stamped in Fresh Fig (I stamped it off first and this is the second, lighter version). I then added a piece of Pearlized Doily, some Mint Macaron Nature's Twine and three Clear Rhinestones! These two also use the same colours! The striped paper is Mint Macaron from the Subtles 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, the flower is in Grapefruit Grove and the words are again in Fresh Fig. Two sets of quite different cards, it was fun playing around with the colour combination. Be sure to check out the other projects using this colour combination on the Global Design Project Blog. Here's a list of supplies I used: Stamp Set: Botanical Bliss, Healing Hugs, Itty Bitty Greetings Inks: Grapefruit Grove Fresh Fig, Mint Macaron Papers: Shimmery White, Whisper White, Mint Macaron, Subtles Designer Series Paper Accessories: Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Nature's Twine in Mint Macaron, Pearlized Doilies Tools: Botanical Tags Thinlits Dies, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals Thanks for stopping by and see you again soon!
The detailed tag thinlits in this bundle are great for more than tags - the lacy look is pretty on a card, too. I cut the tag from one of the patterns in the Share What You Love designer paper collection, and I folded up the end to tuck under the Petal Pink mat (3 3/4" x 5"). I used a staple to hold the top of the tag and a length of ribbon in place; then I tied the bow. I layered up an additional 1/2" strip of designer paper with a lacy punched border strip and some leaves, also cut with the tag thinlit collection. The greeting is stamped on a 1 3/4" circle that is cut on one side. If you need any of our fabulous products, I would love to have your business in the online store. Place an order over $35 with this month's Hostess Code and you will receive a package of our new … Continue reading →
Welcome back, it's been a busy weekend so far thanks to an early Saturday morning delivery! Unpacking was so exciting (a little like Christmas morning, lol), and so was setting up my new ink pads - look how much less space they take up! And now I have all the new cardstock colours and have labelled sorted into the new Colour Families too! I also scanned all of the framelits in the delivery, ready to prepare labels and magnetic sheets so I don't misplace any - been there done that, don't want to go searching again! Now for the agony of choice, what new 2018-2019 stamp set to use? I really wanted to give the Big Shot Embossing Mats a try, so I decided on the Stitched All Around Bundle. The background is embossed using "solid patterned" framelit using the embossing mats, how awesome is that! I used Stampin Write Markers to ink up the stamp so that the pattern is in Flirty Flamingo and the sentiment in Basic Black, then cut with the larger circular decorative Framelit. To carry the floral theme through from the stamp, I opened Botanical Tags Thinlets (avaialable as a bundle with the Botanical Bliss stamp set) - they are gorgeous! I cut the flower and the foliage and layered under the circular sentiment, and lastly added my current favourite embellishment... Artisan Pearls. I do love a silhouette image, and although I completely overlooked the Botanical Bliss stamp set initally, I was instantly drawn to the co-ordinating Botanical Tags dies. When I realised I could earn both for free thanks to my sales during Sale-a-Bration (ask me about this – it’s fab!), I decided to go for it and challenge myself. The blue background is stamped in Balmy Blue using the big “splodgy” image from Love What You Do - quick, easy and effective. I may not have challenged myself with the stamps just yet – there are still too many stamps to get through! – I have had a play with the dies and this is my first project. I hope you like it! I’ve used the Subtle Embossing Folder on the white layer. After running it through the Big Shot the first time, I turned the cardstock 90º and did it again, to get this lovely linen look. Hope you can see it; the folder is called Subtle for a reason!

Hello there and welcome to today's post :-) It's time again for another challenge (#22) with Inspire. Create and this week it's a colour challenge. I love the fresh feel of these colours together... A
Bleibt kreativ, Maike

This is my new favorite stamp set - Botanical Bliss. I mean, look at that darling little flower, it's adorable! And it's stamped in the new Mango Melody ink. Truthfully, I think it looks like orange sherbert - yummy! The Mango Melody looks so great with Granny Apple Green. These are two colors from our Brights Collection and they pair together very well. This stamp set is just downright sweet! I'll be using it a lot. The sentiments are ones I use routinely and the fonts are good. I especially like the 'friend' sentiment :-) It's so easy to stamp
I love the look of the black silhouette die cut against Powder Pink on today's botanical birthday card. It looks just as pretty with Soft Sea Foam instead of Powder Pink. In addition, we say goodbye to products that are retiring and unavailable as of June 4, 2019 or while supplies last. Powder Pink
Jessie and I had an amazingly productive day today - we made over 60 cards for the Crazy Crafters team Onstage event (we will post them in November) We also made sure we did some World Card Making Day Sending too! One of our favourite people to send some cards to, was our new friend Jamie from Wales in the UK. Jamie is 8 years old and his Grandma Wendy said that he watches my videos and loves them! How adorable. He was even impressed that his grandma and I were friends on Facebook and wanted to know if we will come and visit them. (SO CUTE). He is having a tough time at school and not very confident. So we knew that this was the perfect candidate for some card spam for World Card Making Sending Week. So we sent Jamie a card each from Jessie, Bruno and I. We know he is going to LOVE receiving this mail. If you would also like to send Jamie a card - You can contact me and I can pass on his address (with permission from his Mum). I love that our craft can bring people from all backgrounds and places and can make a difference in a BIG way. So special! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️. I also did some card making tonight and was inspired by the incredible Brandi Barnard! We got to cruise with her and her Hubby John earlier this year and we were seated together for dinner. Oh we had so much fun! This is the card that Brandi gave us on the Cruise - I absolutely love this stunning card that she gave us with the Purple Posy, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather and Seaside Spray. WOW! Brandi! You can check out her blog HERE. This is the card that I made today after being inspired by Brandi's amazing card. I have used Melon Mambo as the base, then Costal Cabana and Gorgeous Grape. LOVE ❤️ ❤️ ❤️. CLICK HERE TO SEE THE PRODUCTS I USED IN MY CARD OR SHOP NOW I added a pop of Basic Black cardstock and the Basic Black Scalloped Edge Ribbon that is found on page 53 of the Holiday Catalogue. The droplet embellishments are a new go to for me and are the Clear Epoxy Droplets. The sentiment is also from the Botanical Bliss Stamp set and was embossed in white. For those that have my card templates here are my measurements - Melon Mambo Card Base - Gorgeous Grape layer First Layer Basic Black - Melon Mambo layer Second Layer, Whisper White - Flirty Flamingo Layer Melon Mambo Strip for the sentiment - Width of the Flirty Flamingo layer and height you prefer. . Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. Our inspiration this week comes from the Nature's Poem Suite on pages 142-152 of the Annual Catalogue. You may have arrived here from seeing Megan's gorgeous project if you're hopping along already. If you started here, welcome and please make sure to visit all the Design Team's blogs, the next button at the end of this post will take you on your journey. This week my inspiration came from the "you make me proud" card below on page 152 of the Annual Catalogue. How cute is this card? The colour combination is so fresh and I love the layout! For the background of my cards I used the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper and layered it up with ribbon, metallic thread, leaves coloured in Lemon Lime Twist ink, vellum leaves and topped it off with the sentiment. My top version has the Poppy Parade Mini Striped Ribbon under it with "Especially for You" stamped in co-ordinating Poppy Parade ink. While the bottom version has Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon under it with "Especially for You" stamped in Lemon Lime Twist ink. Both ovals have a Pool Party wash over them! Which one do you prefer? Click the "next" link below to see what my fellow CTC team member Simone has to share with you! We would love you to join us with your CASE this week, using our Facebook group. Click on the image below to go there. For the first time you'll need to click on the "Join Group" button at the top. After you're added you can post your creation and you don't need to have a blog. Here's a list of supplies I used: Stamp Set: Petal Palette, Botanical Bliss Inks: Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, Poppy Parade Papers: Whisper White Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes, Shimmery White, Delightfully Detailed Laser-CuteSpecialty Accessories: 1cm Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon, 6.4mm Poppy Parade Mini Striped Ribbon, Gold Metallic Thread Tools: Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, Petals & More Thinlits Dies Adhesives: Glue Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals Technique: Watercolouring
