And, if you can believe it . . . there is even a set of coordinating designer […]

Every year there are some stamp sets that I am ready to say farewell to, and others that I feel like I'm not nearly done with. We haven't had this Bloom by Bloom stamp set for very long and sadly it didn't make it in to our new Annual Catalogue. I just love the variety of different types of flowers you can create using this set. I've made 4 very different looking cards, and I didn't even use all the stamps in the set. I also pulled out another couple of retiring stamp sets out for the sentiments. I used the co-ordinating Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper on these cards. There are lots of colours in these papers, but I've just used 3 - Calypso Coral, Night of Navy and Call me Clover (I love these 3 together!). You can see all the items I've used to create these cards listed below. Thanks for stopping by! With a little inspiration I created a simple "wishing you brighter days to come" card using the Beautiful You Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! #simplestamping
Big excitement at my house today! My box of Premier Product Purchases arrived in time for Easter! There were many things in the box but the first thing I got out and played with were the new In-Colour inks and card. I had to try them out ASAP. So here's some quick note cards / gift tags I made to try out each colour. As an added bonus, I also got to have a go with the new set, Good Morning Magnolia. The sentiment and tiny magnolia flower are from it. I'm sure I'll be showing you more of them in the near future. So here they are: Purple Posy, Seaside Spray, Pretty Peacock, Rococco Rose, Terracotta Tile. Can you tell which one is which? Do you have a favourite? Here's a close-up of my favourite new colour: Rococco Rose. Add these colours to your wish list today! If you live in New Zealand and would like me to be your demonstrator, message me or leave a comment. The new catalogue will be available in early June so let you know if you'd like one.

Welcome to the July Creation Station Blog Hop. We've got your back this month! The team is making handcrafted backgrounds to inspire your own creative spirit. Be sure to click on the next button at the end of each post to see every design team member's background creations. Making my own backgrounds is something I love to do. I've shown many different background techniques on past Creation Station blog hops, so I wanted to try something new (at least new to me!). This one is a twist on a watercolor background technique. I love watercolor backgrounds because they always turn out differently. I did a couple of practice runs just to see how the ink colors worked together and then I went for it! The backgrounds each started with stamping the leaf and script images from the Very Versailles stamp set in VersaMark ink onto watercolor paper and embossing them with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. To add the color, I first brushed water over the watercolor paper with my Aqua Painter. Next, I used my ink pads to place ink on my Clear Block F. I spritzed the ink on the clear block, dipped a piece of Window Sheet into the puddled ink, and pressed the inked up window sheet into the embossed watercolor paper. I kept the ink puddles separate and cleaned off my window sheet when I switched colors. I used my Aqua Painter to move the color around a bit as needed and a paper towel to remove excess water. Once the paper was dry, I added splatters to the background. For the background on this card I used Pool Party, Old Olive and a bit of Daffodil Delight inks. I created a frame using two sizes of dies from the Stitched Nested Labels dies and Old Olive card stock. The bird and flowers image was fussy cut from a pattern in the Bird Ballad designer series paper pack. "Hello" is from the Free As A Bird stamp set and was punched out with the Classic Label Punch. The watercolor paper is layered on Old Olive card stock and the card base is Whisper White Thick card stock. I added a few Basic Pearls to finish the card. Before creating the background on this card, I made a mask using one of the Stitched Nested Label Dies and copy paper. I used Washi tape to adhere the mask to the watercolor paper and then stamped the images. I carefully removed the mask before embossing, then replaced it and sealed all the edges around the inside of the mask with Washi tape before I started adding the ink. I did not want the ink to travel outside the footprint of the mask. I also added the splatters before removing the mask. I used Seaside Spray and Old Olive inks on the background. The bird image from Free As A Bird stamp set was stamped in Early Espresso ink and then colored with Stampin' Blends: Seaside Spray combo, Petal Pink combo, Soft Suede combo, Old Olive combo, Daffodil Delight light, and the Color Lifter. The greeting is also from the Free As A Bird stamp set. I fussy cut both the bird image and the greeting piece. The watercolor piece is layered on Seaside Spray card stock and then adhered to a Whisper White Thick card stock base. I finished the card with a Seaside Spray faceted dot and a few Basic Pearls. I hope you are inspired to try this fun background technique on your projects. Now it is time to head on over to Dena's blog, The Creativity Cave. I can't wait to see what she has for us today. To Dena's Blog . . . Thanks for stopping by today!--Sara Nell

Join me on a short trip to paradise with today's handmade tropical card featuring the Stampin' Up! TROPICAL OASIS SUITE... easy with a little WOW!❤
If you’re a regular visitor (and, if you are, thank you!), then you’ll know I’m a sucker for a woodland theme. My craft stash is bulging with woodland-themed products – and, with the new Autumn/Winter catalogue, my collection just got a whole lot bigger. The Nature’s Beauty stamp set was sure to end up on my list – and finding out that £2.50 from every sale goes to mental health charities in the UK was a bonus. This is one of the projects we made at Crafty Friday last week. Along with the stamp set, I used the new Beautiful Boughs Dies and the Woodland Embossing Folder. I stamped the fox first, then masked with a sticky note before stamping the foliage around him in Gray Granite. The stark white theme is enhanced with a splash of silver, which echoes the Gray Granite (my silver ink pad isn't due to arrive until today!) and really helps the Cajun Craze fox to stand out.
I still need some tropical vibes so I am continuing with the Humming Along stamp set and the gorgeous hibiscus flower. I don't want to jinx it but I think the snow is beginning to melt! There is a lot...

Water colouring, and what better set to do this with than the beautiful Rose from Stampin' Up! Today's post features creations by myself and the A Crafty Cat team, as I rediscover the art of water colouring on water colour paper. I am having a "thing" for Elegant Eggplant, I love Blackberry Bliss but I do LOVE Elegant Eggplant that much more... A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Rose Garden & Rose Wonder I just had to do a Red Rose and now that I'm getting a little better at water colouring, this is what I created - a simple layered card highlighting the rose itself. A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Rose Garden & Rose Wonder Jan Nottingham's first attempt at Water colouring, Yellows with Mossy Meadow and Elegant Eggplant. What a stunning colour combination - a great effort. A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Rose Garden & Rose Wonder Leanne Slattery created this gorgeous contrast of Elegant Eggplant and Mossy Meadow... A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Rose Garden & Rose Wonder This was Leanne's first attempt at water colouring - well done I think! A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Rose Garden & Rose Wonder OK I cheated on this one, I spritzed it first then went over it with the aqua pen - colours Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie... A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Rose Garden & Rose Wonder Love these creations and have an itch in your fingers to water colour again - it is so easy, ink up your stamp in desired colours - we used markers to do this stamp your image on Stampin Up! water colour paper run over the image within the lines with an aqua pen - half filled with water. use the marker or ink pad to add ink to an acrylic block and use this as your "paint" to enhance colour use the aqua pen to pick up ink from the acrylic block and layer your image, concentrating on where the darker areas or shadows would be. Use scribble motions to that there are no definite lines finally add you detail with coordinating markers again use sketchy rough lines, not precise one line outlines. I hope to see you in class as we will be using this technique a lot more, Yours in paper craft,

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I’m excited to be featured on the Stampin' Up!® Corporate Blog sharing cards I've created using the Come Sail Away Suite(#152175). I love the whole nautical theme, it’s very fresh and clean, and totally my favourite crafting style! This Suite makes creating those perfectly co-ordinated masculine projects from cards to memory-keeping pages fun and easy! The laser-cut specialty card with the rope design from the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack (#149552) created the perfect background for my Note Cards (#131527). I lay the laser-cut card on my piece of Whisper White Cardstock (#106549), which I had die cut using the Stitched Rectangles (#148551) and smothered it with Embossing Paste (#141979). To create a bolder background, I added a few drops of Night of Navy Classic Stampin’ Ink (#103033) to the Embossing Paste and again used the laser-cut card as a mask. I used the remaining paste on two more pieces of card to achieve lighter variations. All the images are from the Sailing Home Stamp Set (#149457) and have been die cut with the Smooth Sailing Dies (#149576). The lighthouse has been embossed using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#109132) on Vellum Cardstock (#106584) and layered up on stickers from the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack, Silver Metallic Thread (#138402), and Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#144220) coloured with the Dark Night of Navy Blends (#144039). Stampin’ Blends colour these embellishments to co-ordinate perfectly with your projects. Use the light or dark Blend depending on the depth of colour you wish to achieve. The anchor has been embossed using Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#109131) on Silver Foil Sheets (#132178) and threaded with Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine (#149483) and layered up with some seaweed die cut in Night of Navy Cardstock (#106577), stickers from the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack, Silver Metallic Thread, and Rhinestone Basic Jewels coloured with the Dark Night of Navy Blend. The yacht has been stamped in Night of Navy Classic Stampin’ Ink on Vellum Cardstock and then heat embossed with Clear Emboss Powder (#109130). You can do this with any of the Classic Stampin’ Pads and Clear Emboss Powder to create coloured embossing. You need to work quickly to avoid the ink drying before you’ve added the Emboss Powder. It is also layered up with the seaweed and ship’s wheel die cut in Whisper White Cardstock, Silver Metallic Thread, and Rhinestone Basic Jewels. The lighthouse has also been stamped in Night of Navy Classic Stampin’ Ink on Vellum Cardstock and then heat embossed with Clear Emboss Powder. It is layered up with the ship’s wheel die cut in Night of Navy Cardstock, Silver Metallic Thread, and Rhinestone Basic Jewels. The sentiments, Thanks and Congrats are from the Sailing Home Stamp Set (#149457) and have been die cut using the co-ordinating banner die from the Smooth Sailing Dies (#149576) with the left-hand side of the banner trimmed to tuck under the stamped images. I’ve loved sharing my cards with you today and hope they’ve inspired you to create some masculine projects for those men in your lives!
Hi Stampers! Today thanks to a viewer request, I gave the “Floating Frames” technique a go! It was a bit time consuming on a live video, probably due to you […]
Another Magnolia Morning card - I love this set. I actually CASDed this card from Francie Martin. The only thing I changed was to add some sparkly black ribbon in the space between the two DSP pieces. The message is retired, but I realized after I stamped it that there is a "thinking of you" I could have used also in the Magnolia set. Supplies: Magnolia Morning stamp set Whisper White, Black, Petal Pink cardstock Momento ink Magnolia Lane DSP (pieces cut are 3 x 3 3/4 and 1 1/2 x 3 3/4) Oval Framelits
The more I play with the Timeless Tropical stamp set, the more I like it. I love the 50's-Hawaiian -surfer vibe it has. The co-ordinating products are lots of fun too. The Coastal Weave embossing folder is getting a lot of use, and I love the Braided Burlap Trim too. I used Pool Party for my background panel, and coloured the hibiscus and frangipanis with Blends. Hello Stamper Friends, Tonight I have a little visitor, she's spending the weekend with us so papa better get lots of sleep tonight LOL. I threw this card together while she was playing with Papa.
Hello Crafty Friends, Hope you are having a great day. I have been having a productive one and thought I would share a few quick and easy cards made using the fabulous new Tropical Chic bundle. As the title suggests, this bundle has a tropical theme, with a Frangapani flower and loads of tropical leaves. The co coordinating framelits are really versatile with framelits that cut your stamped images and some of the images on the DSP. Plus there are also thinlits that make matching foliage die cuts. The background of this set of cards have been embossed with the new Subtle Embossing Folder. The images were stamped using: Coastal Cabana, Pineapple Punch, Grapefruit Grove, Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Tempting Turquoise, Berry Burst and Granny Apple Green. I love the new brights colour family so much I have been making batch of cards in different colours because not everyone loves pink (say what? lol) Coastal Cabana is definitely on the top of my favorite list.....and its not a red/pink tone! Pineapple Punch and below in Flirty Flamingo. And finally a Granny Apple Green version. I will share the next set of cards in another post, keep an eye out for more inspiration using this stunning bundle along with some other new goodies that I got to unbox last week. Until next time, stay crafty
Isn't this just the cutest? I don't usually buy juvenile sets, but the entire Dinoroar Suite is irresistible! If you need a little cuteness for many occasions, then the Dino Days stamp set is for you. It's really is 'Rawr-some'! For this card I stamped only the sentiment and the spine for the Dinosaur. The Dinosaurs are die cut from the DSP! Stampin' Up! often does a Designer Paper which has the images matched to the dies. It makes an easy project! And gives your card a really finished look. Welcome to the January 2020 Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Karen Farquhar from Australia and this month's theme is 'Case a Card'. I hope you are inspired by my projects today as I have been inspired by Stampin' Up's! Artisan Jackie Aitken and her beautiful Painted Poppies cards Although my cards aren't exactly the same I have chosen the stamp set Painted Poppies the layouts, the colours and certain elements Jackie has used for her cards. These cards will be featured in my upcoming Stamp Club class. As a part of the January class every year I normally include some form of calendar. This year the ladies will be making this little covered notepad which holds a coordinating Stampin' Up! pen. The inside reveals a the notepad plus a tear-off calendar and a perpetual calendar to record all those important dates such as birthdays and anniversaries to help keep track during the year. I have stamped the covers of the notepad and perpetual calendars with the stamps from the Painted Poppies stamp set. I hope the projects you've seen here on my blog today have inspired you & brightened your day. You are currently visiting Karen Farquhar. I love Paris. When I was in high school it was my dream destination and I still have the coffee table book my Mum bought for me when I left high school to inspire me to travel there. It might have taken a while to get there, but I have now been twice. Once with family and once with a girlfriend, so very different looks at the city. It definitely still holds it magic for me. That's why I was so excited when Stampin' Up! released the Parisian Blossoms Suite in the 2020 January to June Mini Catalogue. It's a...
