I usually just stick to the colours in the Designer Series Paper (DSP), so I was a bit worried adding the extra colours, but they are super cute, fun cards! I'm re-posting this Blog post as it is one of my Blog Readers FAVE's and I received almost 500 viewings! _______________________________________________ Well, we survived our first Winter Storm of the year. We have lots of ice; but, hardly any snow. Our high temp for today is 36F with a low of 29F for tonight. And, those winds have calmed down … light and variable. Yay!!! My share for today is a Happy Birthday Card that I designed using some new products from Stampin' Up!'s 2020 Mini Occasions Catalog, the Sale-A-Bration Brochure and the 2019-20 Annual Catalog. Let's take a look: Yup … I'm addicted to this set too! I just LOVE these Guys!!! 😊😊😊 My Card Base is Bermuda Bay Cardstock cut at 6" x 6" and scored and folded at 3" for a side opening 3" x 6" Card. I chose the Bermuda Bay/Confetti pattern from stampin' Up!'s new Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper for my Card Front Panel. Using the Dies, I die cut the Grass from Old Olive Cardstock. I trimmed off the side of the Grass and adhered it to my Card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Using the Bonanza Dies, I die cut out the Lion, Koala Bear and the Toucan from the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper. I also die cut out the Balloon, the Party Hat and the Sparkle Tassel. I also die cut out a Party Hat and a Tassel for the inside of my Card. I fussy cut out the Ice Cream Cone from the Ice Cream Cone pattern in the DSP. I applied Shimmery Crystal Effects to the Balloon, the top of the Ice Cream Cone and the Tassel for the Party Hat and let them dry. It's nice having the Shimmery Crystal Effects as it doesn't take long for it to dry. I adhered the Lion together with a scrap of Cardstock adhered to the back of the Lion's Body and Head and then adhered the tip of his Tail to his Tail. I pulled one thread from the Country Club Basic Black Twine, tied it around the Lion's tail and into a Bow. I cut another length of the Twine and adhered it to the back of the Balloon. I adhered the Lion to my Card with Stampin' Dimensionals. I adhered the Koala Bear to the top of the Lion's Head with Stampin' Dimensionals. I adhered the Balloon next to the Koala Bear with a Stampin' Dimensional and the Twine to the back of the Lion's Tail. I adhered the Ice Cream Cone to the Koala Bear's Paw. I adhered the Tassel to the top of the Party Hat and the Party Hat to the top of the Toucan. I then adhered the Toucan to the top of the Koala Bear's Head with Stampin' Dimensionals. Using The Gang's All Mere Stamp Set from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure, I stamped 'from all of us' in Black Memento Ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch. I trimmed the left edge off on my Stampin' Trimmer. I cut a length of So Saffron Metallic Thread from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure, wrapped it around the end of the Label, tied it into a Bow and adhered it to the Grass with Stampin' Dimensionals as shown in the picture above. I trimmed out a panel of Whisper White Cardstock for the inside of my Card. Using the Bonanza Buddies Stamp Set, I stamped Happy Birthday in Terracotta Tile Ink onto the panel and then adhered the panel to the inside of my Card. I adhered the Tassel to the Party Hat and the Party Hat just above the end of the word Happy as shown in the picture above. I adhered 3 So Saffron Sequins from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure to my Card as shown in the picture above. Have a Blessed Day!!! I almost didn't buy this suite from the January - June Mini catalog. But I am sure glad I did! I was going to stamp and watercolor these cute animals. But...the dies fit some of the images on the designer series paper decided to die cut them instead. I die cut the balloons out of the dsp and added some Glittery Crystal Effects, which is carrying over. I fussy cut the party hat and added one of the little PomPoms to finish it off. I am in love with the little critters from the Bonanza Buddies set! 💙 This suite of products is billed as a birthday set, but I had something else in mind. Today is my niece's baby shower, and I had an idea in mind. Isn't that cute? This card is large - 4-1/2" x 6". The card base of Whisper White cardstock was sponged -- the clouds were sponged using Balmy Blue ink and a template I made from a scalloped circle punch. I sponged the "grass" using Call Me Clover ink, and then stamped a few blades of grass using the Nature's Beauty set. And I stamped a few trees from the Snow Front set. I also needed a perch for my toucan, so a bough from Colorful Seasons fit the bill. This was all done within the "frame" of the card--a piece of the Birthday Bonanza designer series paper adhered to a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock and a frame cut using the Heirloom frames dies; this was mounted over my scenery using Dimensionals. The lion, koala and toucan were stamped and cut out using the Bonanza dies. I stamped Welcome from Animal Outing and punched two holes in the side, threading and knotting a piece of Linen Thread. The banner was cut with the dies, and I stamped and punched the letters using the now-retired Labeler Alphabet. And my little koala and lion were added, looking like they are holding the banner. Today I decided to make a children's card for a birthday that is coming up and used the Birthday Bonanza stamps, dies and Designer series paper. It is such a fun set to use and the paper always makes me smile. Hello and welcome to my blog. My card today features the Bonanza Buddies stamp set and coordinating Bonanza dies. It's a fun card for a celebration and includes some entertaining components. To me, the bunting and sequins in the shaker element all shout have fun and celebrate! I started with a Coastal Cabana base card and topped it with a layer of Coastal Cabana Gingham framed with a narrow boarder of Bermuda Bay. I used two of the rectangles from the Stitched So Sweetly dies to crop out a frame in Bermuda Bay to house the sequins. The animals in the set are all adorable. There is a lion, a toucan and a koala, but I know that the recipient of this card will love the lion! These elements are taking me back to my childhood and I'm having Fuzzy Felt déjà vu! I was inspired by this weeks Tic Tac Toe Challenge board when I created this card. The elements I chose to use were on the bottom row; Gingham, Animal and Sequins. Today for the first time I am taking part in the Joy Of Sets Blog Hop. The theme of this blog hop was really well timed for me. Something new happened on the day I had scheduled to work on this project. Some friends of mine had their second baby. It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with: I've been itching to play with the Birthday Bonanza Suite in the Mini Catalogue, and this was the perfect opportunity. The little guys in this suite are super cute, and perfect for a fun card for the young, or young at heart. I started with the Designer Series Paper for the background panel and then snipped 2 Toucans from the paper too. One has a party hat and the other is holding balloons, but I placed them on top of eachother (with mini dimensionals in between) so that I could have both! I blinged it up a bit with some From my Heart Faceted Gems and some Shimmery Crystal Effects (happily, this product is carrying over and is still available to order). I've used it on the balloons and the Party Hat pom-pom. This was such a fun card to make! Now I need to use the other cute animals in the Suite. Hi Friends! I've got some super-cute Scrapbook Pages for you today! I always like to make scrapbook pages that celebrate a birthday, so these were a lot of fun to make. And.... thanks so much to my good friend and fellow demonstrator, Melissa Roberts, for her inspiration on these pages :). We start our first page with a Daffodil Delight base. Next, we added a full sheet of Bermuda Bay card stock to our page, along with two pieces of Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper to the bottom and side of our page. You can click on any of the images below to order directly from my online store! Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper 151313 (retiring) Next, we stamped our lion in Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove and Black Memento ink using the Bonanza Buddies Stamp Set and die-cut the images using the coordinating Bonanza Dies. You can order the stamp set and dies separately, or save 10% when you buy them in the bundle. Then, we added our lion to a Whisper White oval die-cut with the Layering Ovals Dies and then layered this piece onto a Grapefruit Grove piece die-cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. This DSP has been so much fun to play with - I just love those little animals! Next, we stamped "I'm glad it's your birthday...." in Bermuda Bay ink and die-cut the sentiment with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. We also layered this piece onto another Grapefruit Grove piece die-cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. How cute is that??
