I used the Stampin’ Up! stamp set call Barnyard Babies to create my card for The Paper Players theme challenge this week.
It’s Mix It Up Monday again already! Which means it’s time to use a new combination from my In Color charts. But first I must apologise for the picture quality; I was struggling to find somewhere to photograph this project as it rained all day yesterday and the room I usually use for photos when it rains has been demolished! I’m not sure if I even like the card, to be honest. It was my first play with my new Barnyard Babies stamp set and Brick Wall embossing folder, which should have inspired me but, with all the building work, dashing around and compromised stamping space, I’m afraid my Mojo has taken a holiday. When my Mojo goes AWOL I turn, as so many of us do, to Pinterest for inspiration. I found these gorgeous cards from a lovely German blog and set about CASEing the idea, albeit using different stamps, paper and embossing folder. Needless to say, I like the German version loads better. Ah well. Perhaps it’s because I’m a bit fed up of looking at bricks at the moment! Good Evening Stamper Friends, I finished stamping the last two cards for my Barnyard Babies stamp set of the month class. These cards are so darn cute!!! Well, time to get some more stamping done. Thanks for stopping by. Tamie
Barnyard Babies is a cute red rubber stamp set which contains 19 rubber stamps. Our red rubber are premium stamps that will last for years. You can choose them in wood-mount, which means you mount the pre-cut rubbers stamps to your wood block permanently. Or you can choose them in clear-mount, which means you ... Happy Monday everyone! I’m back from a glorious week in the Lake District. And I’m not just saying that because the folks back in Derby were shivering under grey skies. It really was stunning (sorry!) – the best we’ve ever known it, and we’ve been going for 20+ years! But I won’t keep rubbing it in (unlike all that suncream I needed to use!), because right now there are more pressing matters to hand… namely Mix It Up Monday and a new set of In Color charts to wade through. There are 50 of them this year so there’s no time to waste. Today I’m playing with Peekaboo Peach… actually, I’m going to stop right there and say that despite my best efforts, I cannot keep saying “Peekaboo Peach” out loud. It’s a ridiculous name, possibly the worst since the old days of “Yoyo Yellow”. But I have the perfect solution, which came to me as I was labelling up my new ink pad. I always take one of the translated labels from the bottom of the ink pad and stick that on the other end, so that no matter which way I store my pads, there’s still a strip of colour showing. I choose the translation that’s closest to the English, or the one that amuses me most. For P. Peach, I chose the French: “Pêche Fraîche”. Now isn’t that a much nicer name? No unnecessary alliteration, just a pleasing rhyme. So from now on, in my workshops, that In Color known as Peekaboo Peach will be known as Pêche Fraîche… I hope you like my Pêche Fraîche card. I haven’t used a new stamp set because my big order hasn’t arrived yet, but I thought the contented cow looked quite happy on her Pêche Fraîche background, surrounded by that must-have background stamp: Hardwood. I have a little confession to make: I didn’t really use the new Layering Circles Dies on this card as I don’t have them (yet). But I figured that it’s better to show you a product that’s available than one that’s not, and really the size of the circle isn’t that crucial, so just use whatever circle die or punch you have that fits the bill. What a great time we are having over the Global Design Project Challenge blog. The response that you have all given us by visiting and taking part has been so kind and exciting. Thank you very very much. Today's Global Design Project challenge is a theme. I had fun with this one its a baby theme! Here is my card - This super cute stamp set makes it so easy to make a baby card. These adorable little animals just make your heart melt. It would be very easy to use the same sketch and make a girls baby card - just use pink pirouette and there you have it. I used the aqua painters to colour in the little animals. I raised a few of them on dimensionals to add a bit of layering. Its not required though. It would look just as good without. Here are the colours I used to put this card together. Feel free to pin it for ideas later. Make sure you head over to the Global Design Project Challenge Blog - as there are incredible cards that our Design Team has made to inspire you. It won't take long and our faithful challenge participants will be playing along and inspiring you too. Thanks for all the wonderful support you are giving us. We are so overwhelmed. Earlier this month saw the 1st Birthday of our Godson and I couldn't resist but make him this special little Mini Keepsake Album using the ever so cute Barnyard Babies stamp set that I've grown to love. Aston and his family were away on holiday for his Birthday, so I wasn't able to share this until their recent return. You may have seen at the weekend the Blog Hop posting that I published using this Stamp Set. It's such a cute set. I have been wanting to make this mini album since seeing it on Jenni Pauli's Blog many, many months ago. Jenni is a fellow Demonstrator, based in Germany and is a very talented crafter. The album is cleverly made using the Circle Card Thinlits, layered up to create this little booklet. I didn't want to use your traditional baby blue colours for this, so opted for Mint Macaron with some Soft Suede and Watermelon Wonder. Do you see the new Washi Tape Punch that I've used for the sentiment? …. I used a 2 1/2" circle punch of Watercolour paper for the focal points and used the Aqua Painters to add colour to the cute images. I decided to start the album with the Award Winning Horse with the Rosette depicting a Number 1. Using the Washi Tape Punch tab saying Happy Birthday, you pull it open to reveal the 'Little Lamb' on the other side. From this point onwards, there is space to the left of each image, for a photograph to be stored. A photograph for every few months of his first year of life. Aren't these images just so cute! oINK, oINK … I so don't believe you've seen the last of this stamp set. I really enjoyed making this little keepsake album and hope that it will bring fond memories as it is filled with photographs. I hope you have enjoyed seeing this creation and its inspired you to get crafting. If you'd like to join my team to gain discounted products to feed your hobby, then be sure to read this post HERE for the information. There are many Demonstrators around the world who have signed up for the discount for themselves, not all of us run classes or host parties and there is no penalty if you happen to not reach any quarterly targets … you simply drop. The current offer is amazing, so be sure to read up about it. Mikaela x Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

I'm super stoked to share my post today! I'm so honored to make a guest appearance today for Crush On Colour and her Triple Up Thursday post! If you haven't checked out my friend north of the border, you. are. missing. out. Shannon is super talented and I'm rooting for her to be selected for SU's Artisan Design Team (I'm also rooting for myself, haha!) Anyway, long story short… Shannon asked if I wanted to do a Triple Up Thursday post with her and I didn't hestitate to say yes! However, when she sent me a list of stamp sets to pick from, I had two. My mom came to the rescue and I chose Barnyard Babies. I also picked 5 colors: Pool Party, Hello Honey, Watermelon Wonder, Wild Wasabi & Soft Suede. (I did use Memento Black too - oops!) This hog one was my favorite one to make. I stamped the second hog by stamping it onto a clear block and then onto the cardstock. This will give you the reverse image. I did have to use my marker to fill in some of the image. If you came from Shannon's blog - thanks for stopping by! If you didn't, make sure you head on over and bookmark her page! She's a keeper :) Happy Stampin' -Holly

A gorgeous photo of a sheep in repose. They know how to get comfy in the most unlikely places, for sure. I am beginning to think sheep enjoy finding odd places to enjoy the view and then wait for someone to walk by and so they can pose for a picture. I'm glad this scene didn't go unnoticed. via
¡Gracias y salud!

I don't think Sophia Loren gets enough credit as a 20th century screen icon. Her curves and beauty could certainly rival that of Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot, not to mention her career and lifestyle choices. While Monroe's and Bardot's talents were questionable outside of their looks, Sophia w
