SIMPLE & PRETTY! I love the simplicity of this card showcasing the all-new Cottage Rose Bundle in Basic Black and Sahara Sand. Minimal layers and lots of white space is always classic and clean. BUNDLE & SAVE 10%! Purchase the Cottage Rose Cling Stamp Set and the coordinating Cottage Flowers Dies
Here is the third new 2021-2023 in colour called Pale Papaya. Pale Papaya is a light orange shade that fits more with the oranges than I have shown in the comparison above. To showcase Pale Papaya I have again used the Colour & Contour stamp set and dies bundle. I used the scallop border dies to cut the edge of a piece of 2021-2023 In Colour DSP. This was mounted on a Thick Basic White card base. I stamped a greeting from the Etched in Nature stamp set in Pale Papaya. I stamped and die cut the daisy image three times and arranged them on the front of the card. Before I attached the flowers I wrapped a piece of the Open Weave Ribbon around the card front. I will be back tomorrow with the fourth new In Colour - Evening Evergreen. Thanks for visiting, Rachel

Hello my crafting friends, Today I am excited to share with you my June 2022 Artisan Design Team Project. I was asked to use the Abigail Rose Product Suite from Stampin’ Up!, Cottage Rose Bundle (Cottage Rose Stamp Set & Cottage Flowers Dies), The Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper, and the Natural Finish ribbon. These products are in 2022-2023 Annual Catalog & Online. To purchase any of these products, please visit my online store. The link is below in the description. Today I have a technique that gives a fun twist on using Sponge Daubers. I like using Sponge Daubers when I want to add soft color to my stamped images. This technique which gives a precise edge to your images giving them a cleaner look, but still the softness from the Sponge Daubers. I can’t wait to share it with you. Stamp your flower image two times on Masking Paper. Cut out the petal layers as well as the outside edge. For the large flower I created a mask for the center, the first layer of petals, the whole flower, the leaves, and the outside edge. 2- Stamp your image in Memento Black in on Basic White Cardstock. Cover the outside edge of the flower and the flower. The leaves should be open. Use either green color, I used Soft Succulent and add color to the leaves. Start with the darkest area and blend to a lighter color around the outside edges. 3- Remove the full flower mask and add the leaf mask. Add the mask for the top layer of petals so only the back petals are open. Add your petal color ink, I used Blushing Bride for the large flower. Start with the darker areas near the center area of each petal and lighten it as it moves to the outside edge of each flower. 4- Remove the top layer of petals and add the mask for the bottom layer of petals are covered. Add the center mask as well. Color in the top layer of petals using the same technique as the bottom layer with Blushing Bride. 5- Add the top layer of petals back over. The center of the flower should be open. Add Crushed Curry in the center. If you need to blend a little with the masks off you can do that too. 6- Carefully remove all masks to reveal your beautiful flower! TIP: You can save your masks to use with future projects. Just add them to your stamp case. Repeat these steps for all the flowers you want to use. Large Flower & Leaf – Blushing Bride, Crushed Curry, Soft Succulent Medium Flower – Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry | Blushing Bride, Crushed Curry Small Flowers – So Saffron, Crushed Curry Leaves – Soft Succulent, Old Olive Card #1: 1- Add a soft pattern from the Abigail Rose DSP to the front of your cardbase. 2- Cut the Large Group of Flowers & Leaves from Smoky Slate Cardstock. Cut a detailed edge around the die cut with the Largest Deckled Rectangle Die. Emboss with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder. Add this to your cardbase at a slight angle. 3- Layer one of the Rose Gold strips about 1 ¾” from the bottom of the cardbase. Take about 5” of ribbon and add tear and tape to the top edge. Remove the paper backing and fold the ribbon down so the top edge sits just above the bottom edge making a skinner ribbon. Add this below the Rose Gold strip. Trim the sides to match the card. 4- Add the largest flower to the left above the Rose Gold strip with dimensionals. 5- Add the other elements around the larger flower with dimensionals.. I place the Calypso Coral Medium flower on the right with one Old Olive Leaf between the two flowers. Add one small So Saffron flower to the left. 6- Stamp your greeting in Memento Black ink and trim it down to fit. Then add it under the flowers with dimensionals. All Done! Card #2: 1- Add the DSP to the front of the cardbase. 2- Lay the three ¾” Rose Gold Strips to the center. Start with the center strip in the center of the card. Then add the second strip on top with a small gap and then the third strip on the bottom with the same size gap. 3- Stamp your greeting Memento Black on Basic White Cardstock and cut out with one of the Deckled Rectangle Dies. Choose one that fits your greeting. Add this to the center of the card with dimensionals. 4- Tuck four leaves around the greeting with dimensionals. I used two Soft Succulent and two Old Olive. 5- Add your choice of flowers on top of the leaves. I used the Medium Blushing Bride in the bottom right corner and two So Saffron Small Flowers in the top left corner. All Done! Here is also a fun treat bag you can make with the same coloring technique. I used Rose Gold Specialty Paper and cut a tag from the Tailor-Made Tags. Add the large flower and a greeting. I did add Smoky Slate Cardstock to the back of the front of the box so you don’t see through it. If you would like to watch me create these cards with step by step tips and directions please watch this video: If you need any product to make these cards, please visit my online store: http://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2042902 Have a creative day, Chelsey [email protected]
Orchid Oasis with Ranunculus Romance Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We are starting afresh to work though all the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order, although as we begin a new round, we are featuring the new In Colours for 2022 to 2024. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a deep purple with rich blue undertones called Orchid Oasis. As mentioned, Orchid Oasis is part of the In Colour Family and is a beautifully rich blue purple. This colour is gorgeous on its own or with touches of gold. It is going to be fun over the next 2 years to explore colour combos that go well with this colour. Orchid Oasis is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads, Spots & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Markers; Stampin' Blends, In Colours 2022-2024 Designer Series Papers, Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes and Designer Series Paper, In Colour Bakers Twine, Shimmer Ribbon, Glimmer Paper and Matte Decorative Dots. The card below has used Orchid Oasis Classic Stampin' ink, Card-stock, Stampin' Write Marker plus a range of other non-PP bits and pieces. Here is the card showcasing the delightful Orchid Oasis: Isn't Orchid Oasis a beautiful colour. CARD 1: This card shows the beauty of Orchid Oasis through some tone on tone stamping, ink blending and stamping on white, as well as some splatters. I loved playing with Orchid Oasis this week. It is a beautiful colour. My time to create was very short for this project given commitments over the past week so I decided to only use the featured colour and Basic White with touches of Gold. Orchid Oasis card-stock and ink was used with some partial background stamping with the scripty stamp from the Ranunculus Romance stamp set. Some Basic White card-stock was die cut with a Stitched Rectangle die. Some Orchid Oasis ink was blended over the LHS using a Blending Brush, then the panel was stamped with the Eiffel Tower and script stamps. Some splatters were added using an Orchid Oasis Stampin' Write Marker. The beautiful Ranunculus stamp was stamped a couple of times in Orchid Oasis Classic ink. Sadly, I couldn't find my Ranunculus dies, so I fussy cut the full flower spray and the two larger flower heads from the second stamped image. Having lost time trying to find my dies I had to alter my design quickly and use dies that were easily at hand. Some Gold Foil was die cut with one of the little floral sprays from the Honey Bee Bloom dies and the larger leaf die from the Meadows dies was used on some Basic White card-stock. A little Orchid Oasis ink was blended over the white leaf die cut. The fussy cut flowers and the leaf were partially Gold heat embossed on the edges using Versamark ink, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and a Heat Gun. The larger ticket die from the Sports Events dies cut a label from the Vellum Layering Designs. The leaf and flowers were arranged over the vellum label and the individual flower heads were layered over the flowers with Mini Dimensionals. A double bow was tied with the gold Simply Elegant Trim and attached with Glue Dots. A sentiment from the same stamp set was White Heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Orchid Oasis card-stock and then fussy cut. Some Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels added a little shimmer, together with a splattering of Wink of Stella (which is so hard to capture in the photos). My time completely disappeared and so I didn't have a chance to work on the card inner or envelope. It will happen but later. I sincerely thank Emma Goddard, UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and past Artisan for her inspiration. I so love Emma and her amazing talent and noticed as this card came together her definite influence. Thank you so much for dropping by. I do value the time you spent with me. If you live in Australia, don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and would like your own copy of Stampin' Up's new 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue and or the January - June 2022 Mini Catalogue then let me know and I will be delighted to send them to you. Hi peeps! Thursday brings us a new lovely Inspired By inspiration photo: and here's the optional sketch, which I used this week: I promised I would be using the new Hand-Penned Petals again, and here it is! I used some Hand-Penned DSP along with one of the new In Colors, Soft Succulent, and used two more In Colors to watercolor the floral, Pale Papaya and Fresh Freesia: Instead of using the two-step stamp to color the flowers, I used ink and an aquapainter. After diecutting the flower, I embellished the circle panel with a couple of black sequins from my stash and a Basic Black sentiment from the Well Written dies: The Crumb Cake card base was embossed with the Subtle embossing folder before adhering everything together! Now I hope you'll find some inspiration from our photo this week and play along with us at Inspired By as well! Thanks for visiting today! We have an alarm in our driveway that alerts us when someone is driving in.....and it went off at 8:30 in the morning, which is pretty unusual for company! When I went to look to see who it was, this is what I saw: The neighbors across the street have a small pond and every spring, two Canada geese build a nest, and I guess they decided to come over for a visit! Hello stamping friends! Happy Friday! It's new challenge day over at Just Add Ink and do we have a fun challenge for you - Just Add Ink #604 | Just Add a CASE of Yourself Challenge suggested by fellow JAI team member Jan. How fun!!! When I am stuck for new ideas I sometimes go back to my older card designs and CASE myself and that will usually get the creative ideas flowing. Do you do that too? I know I'm not the only one. With CASEing the idea is to use the original design but to change it up and 'make it your own'. This is my original card that I made back in January 2021. So not that long ago. I really loved the layering of the cardstock and the DSP along with the flowers in each corner. I thought this card design really lended itself so well to the Stampin' Up! Abigail Rose suite that I had just ordered and really wanted to use. And this is then my CASEd card. As you can see I've kept to the same basic design but I've changed it up a slightly. I really thought the floral image from the Cottage Rose stamp set was too large to add two of them to this card as like the original. I still tried to layer ribbon, twine and die cuts with this flower to make a floral 'spray' like my original. I've finished off the card with some heat embossed gold splatters, basic pearls and the Happy Birthday sentiment stamped in Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. I do hope that you are inspired by my original creation and my CASEd version here today. I can't wait to see your CASEd creations and how you changed up one of your original creations.
