Well, the Occasions catalog and SAB have been in full swing for a couple weeks now, and we just can't get enough of the awesome new products! I'm first on the Tour de Freaks blog hop, but you may have landed here from Wendy's Wickedly Wonderful Creations blog. Weren't her creations awesome?! Just follow the links to see all five participating blogs. I knew immediately which set I wanted to use - HOME TO ROOST. It's in the Sale-a-Bration flyer on page 11. You see, I'm a crazy chicken lady even though I don't have any chickens....YET. I used to have them about 30 years ago, and I WILL get some this year, by golly! Anyhooo, I loved the rooster image and knew it would be fun to color with Stampin' Blends. I managed to get the iridescent look on his tail feathers by starting with Bermuda Bay, then adding Night of Navy and Basic Black over it. He sure is a handsome 'roo! For the next card, I just wanted to use the wheat image. It was stamped in Pear Pizzazz, with Mossy Meadow stamped over. The greetings included in this set are a lovely group of "just because" stamps, don't you think? The Old Olive Linen Thread and Braided Linen Trim worked well together. I thought about coloring the Braided Linen with a Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blend, but then thought it looked fine just as it is on the Crumb Cake DSP. Up next is Kelly Acheson, at A Stamp Above. I can't wait to see what she's made!

It's Stamp Review Crew time and for this hop the crew are showcasing loads of inspiration using the lovely Butterfly Gala stamp set and punch bundle! Love how easy this set is to create lots of different styles and of course the simplicity of a punch to cut them out makes creating a breeze! I have created two similar cards with slight differences, both using the same colour ways. Bermuda Bay-Granny Apple Green-Black/White. I've also added some of the free (with a qualifying order) SAB Botanical Butterfly dsp and Ribbon and the corrugated embossing folder for some textural elements. If you are happily hopping, you would have arrived here from the lovely Dawn Tidd blog and her fab Butterfly Gala project. But if not, you can click on the "Next" banner below to complete the loop and see all of the crews creations. The lovely Lou Kitzelman is next on the hop, so click the banner and check out all of the crews lovely projects! Thanks for stopping by! All supplies used are Stampin Up!

Dat wil zeggen: - All My Love (blz 5) - 6 velletjes - Floral Romance (blz 11) - 4 velletjes - How Sweet It Is (blz 15) - 6 velletjes - Happiness Blooms (blz 25) - 6 velletjes - Gingham Gala (blz 35) - 5 velletjes - Needlepoint Nook (blz 39) - 6 velletjes - Classic Garage (blz 43) - 12 velletjes Dit is totaal 45 vellen van 6x6". Margriet

It's time for another CASE the Designer Challenge with the Global Design Project. There are so many places to find inspiration for the projects we make - I love the opportunity to create a project that's inspired by the art of my fellow team members on GDP. Always a joy!
Howdy, folks! So, I have a few cards to share today that we needed 'just because'. We just mailed out 96 cards to people in our church, and elsewhere, that we were thinking about with this awful virus going around. Sadly, we also lost a family member last week, and I needed some sympathy cards. Here are a few of the cards that I made. I'm entering this in the Scor-Pal challenge this month. The theme is 'Flowers', and of course, more than one fold. And here are a few more... These first two use stamps from Stanpin'Up. And these two use a gorgeous set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I'm going to enter them in the April challenge in the Sweet 'n Sassy VIP Facebook Group - the challenge is to use pastel colors. I sponged with some pastel colors, then stamped the image repeatedly. On both cards, I had a major OOPS after the card was entirely finished, so I quickly added some birds from my stash. That's it for today! Hope your weekend is wonderful - it's a lovely day here in MO! Hugs, Patti J.

Fun Folds Welcome to the first Stampers By The Dozen Blog Hop of 2019! Todays theme is Fun Folds and I know there will be some way cool designs shared so be sure to hop all the way through until you return back here, or to where you started this hop. When I first saw the Wonderful Romance Bundle, I fell in love! While I do tend to fall for florals, this one is so unique compared to the standard petal style, plus the Wonderful Floral Framelits have some cool extras shapes like the ‘Leaf Border’ and oval used on this card. How can anyone resist? The card is a gate fold card (Directions below). I started with the standard half sheet of card stock 5.5” x 8.5” but rather than fold it in half, I scored it at 2 1/8” and 6 5/16” folded in toward the center. I used the NEW Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on both sides of the card front. I ran it through the Big Shot twice and positioned the card stock in the folder so each side was a mirror image of the other. I used the Leaf Border die to cut two images from matching card stock. In order to ensure the lattice design was more visible I added a piece of Whisper White card stock behind each of the die-cut pieces (5.5” x .75”). These pieces were added to card front, so the leaf side was to the outer folds (one will be upside down). The flower image was stamped in Memento Ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends before cutting out with the matching die. Small Basic Jewels pieces in Clear Rhinestone were colored with the So Saffron Dark Blends Marker and added to the center of the three flowers as well as a little ‘dot’ near the sentiment on the oval die (I love this shape!). With such a fancy outside I knew I couldn’t leave the inside blank. I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 4” x 5.25” and stamped a few of the leaf image onto it in matching ink before adhering it to the card. I know you are curious to see other fun folds so click the image below to see what Judi has to share with you. Be sure you scroll down to the end of this post and leave a note to let me know your thoughts. The Floral Romance Suite is one of my favourite product lines in the new Occasions Catalogue. I designed these cards and little bag from one sheet of the patterned paper from the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper for our recent Stamparoo's Camp at York. I also used part of one of the printed Vellum Sheets (I love these sheets) to fussy cut the flowers and leaves that I have used as embellishments. It all started with this card that I made for a recent Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. I love the rich colours of the designer series paper, and the woodgrain pattern on the reverse makes it ideal for a one sheet wonder as it gives you so many options. The little bag I found on Pinterest but could not work out who actually designed it, so apologies for not giving credit where it is due. The original little bag was a lot shorter, however I wanted a size to fit a bar of my homemade soap so I played around with the sizing until I got the size I wanted. I have done a mix of watercolouring with ink pads and an aquapainter, watercolour pencils and an aquapainter and also the Stampin' Blends. This gives a good contrast across the cards and also provides a medium that people are happy using to colour the images. This card is actually the last card I made, I had 3 small pieces of patterned paper left so this is the card layout that I designed to use them up. No waste here. In designing my cards I was trying to use all the products in the suite as I felt it would make a great product based class. On this card I have used the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to emboss the card front. This card shows the great use of the other side of the designer series paper. This card is quite simply to make with some fussy cutting for the vellum flowers and leaves, stamping and die cutting. On this card I used an actual full strip of the designer series paper, however if you only had small pieces left you could still do this design and you only need to tuck the pieces behind the centre panel, they do not need to go all the way across. This card shows another use for the lattice edging die. I have used Basic Black as mats throughout the cards as it provides a contrast that highlights the other colours in the cards. If you live in Australia you can get all the supplies you need for this project from me. You can place an order online or Contact Me and place an order. SHOP WITH ME! Thank you for visiting. I took down my Christmas tree last night (finally!). Not gonna lie ... my house just seems pretty empty without it. For some reason this year I was DREADING Christmas ... starting in about March. Seriously??? I have NEVER done that before!! But once I got my tree up, my usual love for all things "holiday" starting to kick in. I still have to pack all the ornaments and such up (which is a CHORE!)! At least I have a group of friends coming over tomorrow night for book group, so that should liven things up around here! I have committed myself to sending birthday cards to everyone in my family this year. I should qualify that ... I will be trying to send to everyone on my hubby's side of the family, and to my immediate family (which is considerably smaller than my hubby's). All told, looks like I will be attempting to send out at least 150 birthday cards this year!! I am off to a good start! I've sent out 6 already. This is one I did for my uncle. His birthday is tomorrow!! I hope he has as much fun getting it as I did making it. There are SO many fun possibilities with the Best Catch/Catch of the Day Bundle!! It's my new favorite for making "dude" cards! Stamps: Best Catch, Crackle Paint Paper: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake, Wood Texture DSP Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Accessories: Catch of the Day Thinlits, 5/8" Burlap Ribbon, True Gentlemen Buttons, Linen Thread I've got a busy couple of days ahead, so I need to get moving!! Unless, of course, I could get Mary Poppins to come over and help me with her magical skills!! That would make things go MUCH more smoothly!!
