Yep, its another sneaky look at one of my new favourite sets from our upcoming Holiday catalogue. This time the set is called "Lighthearted Leaves"... and it is SO versatile! The other thing I love about it is that it can be used all year round. Not to mention that it also co-ordinates with our Leaves framelits for the Big Shot, adding to the ways you can use it! This time I've kept it very simple! I chose 3 of the leaf stamps and stamped them randomly in Soft Suede ink on my card base made from Crumb Cake cardstock. I then took a blender pen and coloured parts of the leaves with Whisper White craft ink... I love this bit because I find colouring quite therapeutic! And then I finished the card off with a few gold sequins from one of the Project Life accessory kits ("Moments like these"). (Truth be told, I had made a smudge with a bit of soft suede ink on the base, and so some gold sequins seemed like a good way to disguise my mistake! But as so often happens I think it looks better as a result! I bet Im not the only one that finds cute ways to cover so-called "mistakes"! Hello and welcome I am Karen Farquhar from Australia and thank you for joining me today for the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge. Stamping Challenge #028 is a colour challenge and the colours are just gorgeous. However even though the colours are so pretty and look lovely together I was a bit puzzled as to how to incorporate them into one card. So what I have done is use all the colours and the baby wipe technique with a result I love. I felt as if the colours were sort of Autumn tones or Fall tones so I have made a wreath in the colours for our Northern Hemisphere friends who will be celebrating Thanksgiving and Halloween soon. Then again they could also be pretty Spring colours so I have swapped out the cardstock and made some Spring designs as well. Thank you for visiting me today. Please, you are more than welcome to enter your projects for the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges here. We really would love to see your creations. Also pop over for a visit to see the projects of other talented stampers. To purchase the products I have used today just click on the product thumbnail below to take you directly to my Online Store. I adore the sketch challenges at CAS(E) this Sketch - each week, the talented team offers great ideas for clean -and-simple cards. Because of the timing of the challenges, I don't always get to play along. This sketch gave me the chance to pull out my Shooting Star set again
Love this print as a background! I choose this cotton print for my background which I layered on a white base. I turned the sketch to the side and layered the wood print panel to the right. Both prints from the Country Lane DSP. I stamped the can and florals from the Country Home set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored them with my Stampin Blends markers and cut out with the Stitched Seasons label die. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of Whisper White in Early Espresso ink and snipped the ends. I also ran some white twine down the side panel and added a double bow. I finished it off with three rhinestones I colored with my Cajun Craze Stampin Blend marker to look like the banner element in the sketch. I must remember to use this sketch either direction again. Play along over at Global-design-project.com this week. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day! Windy windyellard.stampinup.net Stamp set: Country Home Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Early Espresso Stampin Blends markers- Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron, Daffodil Delight, Bronze Paper: Whisper White, Country Lane DSP, Stitched Seasons dies, white twine, rhinestones
I created a background of beautiful leaves for the card I shared during last week's Autumn Weather InKing Royalty Blog Hop. As I put the finishing touches on my card, I trimmed the large panel down a couple of times for a smaller focal panel. With all those patterned strips

Hello my Friends. The Holiday catalogue is SPECTACULAR and if you have seen it then you already KNOW what I am talking about. Naturally for this month's Grand Vacation Achiever's Blog Hop we wanted to highlight some of the terrific products that will be available to order from this catalogue in just ONE SHORT WEEK! Gorgeous Emboss Resist Card using white embossing powder (You may be starting at my blog - Cynthia Millan - or maybe you've already been hopping? Whichever is the case, make certain you check the list at the bottom and visit everyone else's blog too. There are some phenomenal projects and you don't want to miss any of them!) Now, about my project. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a Christmas junkie. And heaven knows there are some brilliant and exciting Christmas sets in this new catalogue. But we are still in the middle of a hot and humid August so I wanted to show you how useful and versatile one of my favourite "non-Christmas" stamp sets from this new catalogue is. Not Christmas. Not even Thanksgiving. Just a couple of every day "WOW" Thank you cards. Gorgeous Emboss Resist Card using copper embossing powder The Paisleys & Posies stamp set that is featured in our new catalogue lends itself wonderfully to the "Emboss Resist" technique where you stamp the images onto Whisper White cardstock using versamark ink, then sprinkle on embossing powder (I used white embossing powder for one card, and copper embossing powder for its twin). Once the powder is melted with a heat tool, you can sponge on colour(s) of your choice. I used Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette and the new 2016-17 In Color, Flirty Flamingo. You sponge colour on, wipe off any residual that sits on top of the embossed lines (the melted embossing powder resists the ink), and voila, absolutely gorgeous works of art! The cards were mounted onto two successive mats, then onto a card base, so that all 3 colours (Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette and Flirty Flamingo) were also present in the "cardstock frame" around the image piece. LOVE how these turned out. In addition to 15 beautiful images the Paisleys & Posies set includes 3 wonderful sentiments. This one of course (Thankful - Grateful, BLESSED) defines my life to a "T" and I think I will get to use it on a LOT of cards in the coming months. I am really pleased with how both of these cards turned out! I have a ton of Christmas goodies that I am playing with now since I have my 20-Card Class to launch the Holiday catalogue, coming up soon. And I'll just bet that my friends and fellow blog-hoppers have created some extraordinary holiday projects for you using these goodies. I can't wait to hop to the blogs of everyone else on the list to see what they've created. You should too! Hope you enjoyed today's Blog Hop. And I hope you are getting ideas and inspiration for what you want to order from the Holiday catalogue! If you are anywhere in Canada, you can contact me HERE and I will be happy to place your orders for you beginning September 1 (or you can place your own order online HERE. If your order is less than $200, please use the hostess code QBAYWFJF when you check out). Thanks for stopping by. Have an absolutely fantastic rest-of-your-week and God Bless, ~Cynthia <>< List of blog hop participants:

Hello and welcome back. This week I have an eclectic mix of projects to show you. Today's card is made with a NEW stamp set is called Peaceful Reflection. I used Island Indigo, Berry Burst and Whisper White cardstock. Island Indigo, Berry Burst,Tranquil Tide and Calypso Coral Ink. Sadly Island Indigo is retiring on 31st May. So as with everything that is retiring, if you still need some of the card, ink and refils now is the time to get them before they're gone. Click on the link at the side to take you to our shop and you can see all of the amazing things that are retiring. You'll be glad you got them before they're gone. This is a very simple card with stamping the images a few times to get the result. A simple message from the stamp set to finish off the card. I can see lots of possibilities with this stamp set. Gorgeous!

I'm a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator sharing creative projects and stamping techniques to inspire you in card making, memory keeping, and paper crafting of all kinds.
Hi Stampers! Woohoo! My Holiday catalog preorder is coming today and I'm really excited. I will finally get to see a print copy of the catalog and also some of the products that I chose. Would you believe I even texted my UPS driver to see if there was any wiggle room in her schedule and she could come to my neighborhood sooner rather than later?!! She's a friend and she will proceed as her job requires so I'm guessing it will still be several hours. I really shouldn't be that anxious as there are still so many things in the annual catalog that I haven't given much attention to. Summer is a great time to be outside and do all the fun adventures so my stamping time is hit and miss some weeks. I live in an area with a huge Dutch community nearby. Have you ever heard the saying, "If you ain't Dutch, you ain't much!" Well, I have and while I disagree with the saying (haha) many of these people are some of my dear friends and fellow stampers. I even met a couple of demonstrators from the Netherlands at an OnStage even a year ago. All that to say that when they saw the "Winds of Change" stamp set in the Annual Catalog, I would guess they jumped for joy! I had some fun with this set recently: Probably the most iconic symbol of the Dutch is the windmill. They are scattered throughout the Netherlands and there are even a few here and there in our country. I actually looked up what a windmill does and they harness the energy from wind to mill grain or pump water in the past. They are probably mostly for looks now and boy do they look charming! This was a fun card to make with my coloring using Stampin' Blends Alcohol markers. I also used the Rectangle Dies to cut out my layers. Another iconic "Dutch" thing is the Delft blue and white design on everything from housewares, decor to linens. I'm a big fan of blue and white and have several pieces in my home. I thought that should definitely be one design idea for a card! I also wanted to try and incorporate the other stamps that are included in this set, including some long stemmed tulips and a bicycle. I just did a little bit of coloring, only the flowers to give this card some interest but mostly kept it simple. I cut the sections apart from a 3.75" x 5" piece of white card stock as I stamped them and then adhered them to my background with some space in between. I did have to tweak my trimming just a bit but it wasn't hard to create this card. This is a fun stamp set to play with, especially if you are enjoying all the coloring options we have from watercolor pencils, blender pens, Aqua painters and markers. Coloring is back in a big way and I'm so glad Stampin'Up! is on board! You can get this set as well as my other supplies by clicking on the supply list below which will take you to the store. Online shopping is easy and convenient. Try it! Until next time, happy stampin'! Sarah
Ann Schach used Stampin' Up!'s Touches of Texture stamp set is used to create a slightly distressed card with a romantic vintage vibe for Pals Paper Arts.
Hi everyone! I am back today with my second card in my Hang Your Stocking series! I am so in love with this card! One reason why I love it is because I used the new Stitched Shape Framelits! They are fantastic! I started by running a piece of Real Red card stock that measures 4 x 5 1/4 through my Big Shot using the new Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the 2016 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog! Can you believe that texture? It's absolutely breathtaking! I added that layer to a Crumb Cake card base that measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I used the largest and second smallest circles from the Stitched Shape Framelits to cut a piece of Crumb Cake and Whisper White. I also used the Hang Your Stocking Framelits to cut out the stocking. I stamped the sentiment from the Hang Your Stocking stamp set with Real Red and added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the bottom. I adhered the stocking cover to the bottom using Multi Purpose Glue and added it to the Crumb Cake circle using Stampin' Dimensionals. I added the Crumb Cake circle to the card layer using Stampin' Dimensionals. I doubled dimensionals for the sentiment circle. The finishing touch is a bow made with the baker's twine and linen thread! Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to check out my current promotions!
