Description: ----------------- This superb work was based on the original map produced by Frenchman Jean/John Rocque (c.1704–1762). Sunday gulch is a moderate to strenuous hike right next to Sylvan lake. Dogs on leashes are okay, but be prepared to carry your dog at the start of the hike, as there are many areas that they need to jump down from. At the start there is a very rocky downward hike, the park service has provided handrails as you would likely struggle to climb down without them. Once you reach the bottom of this hike you are treated to an awesome stroll along a creek with awesome views of the various rock formations.

This is an incredibly picturesque, mostly shaded canyon hike in the Santa Monica Mountains. The Solstice Canyon Trail is a popular, well-maintained route with some spur-trail opportunities for more adventurous travelers. Some of the highlights include the oldest still-standing stone building in Malibu, a small waterfall and creek, and several ruins - including the ruins of a moderate mansion. From the gate, follow the service road that runs along the right side of the creek. Bear right at the dirt road that takes you up to the 2 odd looking buildings that house the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy. To the right of the second building, take the Rising Sun Trail. This trail heads up the ridge, with great views of the ocean, then drops down into the somewhat mysterious Tropical Terrace. This is actually the ruins of a home build in the 1960s, and burned in 1982. There are exotic plants, lovely pools, a 30 foot waterfall (if there has been rain recently), and a hidden statue of the Virgin Mary just before you cross the creek heading into the ruins. This is really a fun place to explore! You can carefully scramble up the rocks on an extremely steep trail to get above the waterfall to a number of lovely pools. The return route is a pleasant shady service road that runs parallel to the stream.

Description: ----------------- This wonderfully detailed 1851 map created by John Tallis shows the vibrant city of Dublin. Situated on the banks of the River Liffey, Dublin was an administrative centre adorned with beautiful architecture and of course St Patrick's Cathedral. The Industrial Revolution didn't take hold as much in the south of Ireland and the pace was a little slower but the Guinness brewery, St James Gate (est 1759) and the Jameson Distillery, Bow St (est 1780) were significant employers in the 1850s. Put your feet up and take an imaginary stroll through historic Dublin's fair city! This piece has been digitally cleaned in order to remove blemishes and most signs of ageing but keeps the look, feel and integrity of the original. A classic work that creates a centrepiece for any home and would look stunning mounted. This print is produced on premium heavyweight230gsm paper and uses the finest quality inks that will not fade or smudge. This is a highly sought after work. Features: ------------- • A classically drawn and detailed town plan of Dublin from 1851 • Six wonderful vignettes including the Custom House, St Patricks and Four Courts • Many areas of interest including Phoenix Park, O'Connell Street, Trinity College, the General Post Office (setting of the 1916 Easter Rising) and Dublin Castle • A classical banner depicting the title "Dublin" • All offset by a delicately stylistic border Personalisation ---------------------- Now you can make you special map even more special by adding your own message - maybe for a Birthday, Wedding, Anniversary, Christmas - your choice. Eatonville NeighbourhoodEatonville began as a farming community in the early 1800’s. One of its first residents was Peter Shaver who donated a portion of his property at Bloor Street and Highway 27 for the local school. This school was affectionately known as the “Swamp School” because of all the frogs that lived in the bushes and marshes nearby. Peter Shaver’s homestead and adjoining farms were purchased in the 1890’s and early 1900’s by Timothy Eaton the patriarch of Eaton’s Department Store. Eaton donated a portion of his land to the local school which was renamed “Eatonville” in his honour. Eventually this entire area also became known as Eatonville. Physical Prints: My prints are uniquely designed, printed on thick, high-quality paper and carefully packaged for delivery. Various colours and custom sized prints available upon request.
