The other week I finally got my new home knitted sweater. Even if I'm a knitter myself I think I could have never pulled off this one. Or I could probably have managed the knitting part, it would have taken me forever though, but I could never have managed to assemble it. That`s why I put out an add on Facebook asking if anyone could knit this for me. I got answer from a very lovely lady who is an expert knitter. And here it is Aasemors kofte, Aase/Åse is a Norwegian girls name and mors means mothers. The designer of this kofte is the very talented knitting designer Sidsel Høivik, she has designed a lot of pretty sweaters or kofter as we call these particular home knitted sweaters. Last Friday I wore this beauty for the first time. Forrige uke fikk jeg endelig min etterlengtede nye kofte. Selv om jeg strikker selv så hadde jeg aldri klart å laget denne. Strikkingen hadde jeg nok gjerne klart om jeg hadde fått et par år på meg, men jeg hadde aldri klart å montert den uten hjelp. Jeg la ut en annonse på en Facebook gruppe og spurte om noen kunne strikke denne for meg og til slutt kom det svar fra en skjønn og meget dyktig strikkerske. Og nå er den ferdig, Åsemors kofte som er designet av Sidsel Høivik. Synes hun er en utrolig dyktig strikkedesigner og kunne tenkt meg flere av hennes kofter. Forrige fredag brukte jeg denne skjønnheten for første gang. Me and hubby was invited to my photographer friend Kari and her husband for dinner. and as it was still summer, but a bit autumn too I decided to mix summer with autumn. The striped dress has really proven to be more versatile than even I thought, so I chose it and my Timberland boots to accompany the sweater. Jeg og min kjære var invitert til middag hos fotograf Kari og hennes mann. Det var fremdeles sommer, men med et høstlig drag i luften, så derfor bestemte jeg meg for å bruke klær fra begge årstider. Koften kan forresten brukes året rundt den, i alle fall her til lands. Den stripete kjolen er jo som poteten, den passer til absolutt alt. Og når jeg tok på Timbeland støvlettene mine fikk jeg akkurat det uttrykket jeg ønsket. Look at the details, the back is knitted in reverse colors. And here we are Kari and Kari, our hubbies had to wait forever for the dinner, because we just had to have a photoshoot first. My hubby had to photograph the 2 of us together, and he was told no dinner before we're satisfied with the pics. Look at my very stylish friend, don't you just love her outfit, and the shoes.... Tror våre kjære var temmelig lei av å vente på middagen, for vi måtte jo bare ha en fotoseanse først.
