Aloha! The Stamp Review Crew are hopping and we are sharing lots of gorgeous projects featuring the "Timeless Tropical" bundle...I love the images in this set and being a fan of all things tropical and missing the sunshine, l really enjoyed revisiting this set. I have combined it with the lovely new "Drybrush" background stamp in Coastal Cabana, stamped the images and added coloring details using Stampin Blends and some gold glimmer for a hint of sparkle. If you are following the hop, you would have arrived here from the talented Heidi Baks but if not, you can continue on your way by clicking on the link/next banner below or click the link above to be redirected to the SRC blog, where you can find the full list of participating crew! Now you are off to be inspired by Mary Hougen and l'm sure she has something fabulous to share. Thanks for stopping by! All supplies used are Stampin Up!
A special thank you for your kind words and enthusiasm as I demonstrated this card live with you on Friday!!! I am so happy you enjoyed this color combo and the ink blending tips with Stampin' UP! Blending Brushes!! It's quite a different color combo than I usually use, but I love it: Rich Razzleberry, Balmy Blue and Pale Papaya Stampin' Up! ink pads!! I used 2' wide Post-it brand tape to mask off the area of my Basic White cardstock I didn't want inked, and then used the Blending Brushes to blend the 3 colors. I

Timeless Tropical Memorable Birthday card. Featuring a Large Yellow Pineapple speckled with Gold, on a water coloured background.
I was waylaid from sharing the other Timeless Tropical bundle cards but here they are now. Both cards are adapted using mostly the same elements from my original class card you'll find here. You'll see all the cards together at the end of this post too. Version 1 is a remix of the original class kit, with the frangipani taking over from the hibiscus in the original. Still loving that amazing bird of paradise paper print too. The frangipani's are stamped in Saddle Brown Staz On ink and coloured with a little watercolour pencil blended out with an Aqua Painter. The sentiment in Soft Suede ink which was stamped off once. Inside is super simple - coordinating sentiment (Soft Suede not stamped off - oops) and another frangipani. I'm so glad I can stamp as many of them as I like, as I'm not very good at keeping the real ones alive. Version 2 - I mixed it up with a print from the Birthday Bonanza paper pack - yes the cute pack with koalas & lions & birds! - plus a Crumb Cake panel embossed with the Coastal Weave 3d embossing folder. Sadly this one's not carrying over to the new catalogue so get it now. I created a cluster of hibiscus & frangipani using the same pieces as the class version, and added some greenery using the top of the pineapple die in the bundle. I had one more coloured hibiscus so I added that inside. So that's the full set of themed cards shared using the Timeless Tropical Bundle and Tropical Oasis suite. Here they all are together. Timeless Tropical Card: Who's ready for a vacation? Pick me!!! I would love to be sunning myself under some of these palm trees from the Stampin' Up! Timel
Happy weekend! This has to be my fav new stamp set in our new catalog. I can't wait to play with it a bit more, but for mean time here is a quick card you can make by folding your card in half and using black ink stamp the plumeria flower down the side of the card. Using your scissors but away the flower. Here is the Timeless Tropical Stamp set The ink colors I used were Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral. I water colored the colors in with the Aqua Painter. I seriously am in LOVE with this set, so stay tuned for a post overload! I had to share the sunset the other night, this is with no filter..... Lavender and purple sky, it was so gorgeous! I have never seen the sky this color before, it was such a treat~
Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Timeless Tropical edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Mary's blog, Center Stage Stamping, welcome! Wasn't her creation gorgeous?! There are only six of us today, so it will be a quick, but inspirational hop! This is the time of year that the Stampin' Up! demonstrators who earned the Incentive Trip should have been in Hawaii. But we all know why that couldn't happen this year. I feel so badly for them, even though they will (hopefully!) get to make it up next year. So my card was inspired by the thoughts of palm trees swaying in the breeze and the scent of Plumeria blossoms in the air. I sponged the water (Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay) and sky (Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody), then stamped the palm trees using the marker-to-stamp technique in Early Espresso and Old Olive. Did you notice the die cut window? Of course you did! That's a new die set called Celebration Labels coming in the Aug - Dec Mini Catalog next month. And if you looked really closely, you'd have noticed the tiny stars in the center of the blossoms. That's from All the Trimmings Embellishments, also coming next month! The blossoms were stamped in Mango Melody ink, then colored with a Light So Saffron Stampin Blend marker. The red blossoms were die cut from Poppy Parade, the leaves from Mossy Meadow, and the "aloha" from Bermuda Bay. After the window was die cut, the front panel was embossed with The Subtle 3D folder then popped up on dimensionals over the image. Up next is the awesome Kelly Kent at My Papercraft Journey!
Hello Friends, This card will say it is time to relax and enjoy the scenery. The stamp set is the Timeless Tropical and I sponge an easy sunset. I designed this card for the Tutorial Medley group. I
The more I play with the Timeless Tropical stamp set, the more I like it. I love the 50's-Hawaiian -surfer vibe it has. The co-ordinating products are lots of fun too. The Coastal Weave embossing folder is getting a lot of use, and I love the Braided Burlap Trim too. I used Pool Party for my background panel, and coloured the hibiscus and frangipanis with Blends. CARD "May your birthday be memorable" fun and tropical pineapple card from the Stampin Up Tropical Oasis Suite. The Timeless Tropical Stamp set and the coordinating Into the Tropics dies. Paired with the Tropical Oasis DSP and the Coastal Weave Folder.
Hello and welcome, Today we are sharing Stampin’ Up! products with a fun hop called the “The Full Monty” in other words the whole kit and caboodle, using the entire suite or most of the products as possible. I’ve chosen the Tropical Oasis Suite which is in the Mini Stampin’ Up! Catalogue. I just love the retro suite with the bright colours and tropical images that will give your projects that tropical feel. It just makes me want to go on a holiday! Tropical Oasis Suite: I've used the following products - Tropical Oasis DSP, Timeless Tropical Stamp Set, In the Tropics Dies, Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder, Tropical Oasis Trinkets, Tropical Oasis Memories & More Card Pack and 5/16” (8mm) Braided Burlap Trim. I’ve created two cards and decorated a Kraft Pillow Box. I’ve stamped the Hibiscus in Melon Mambo and with the Stampin’ Blends I’ve used Daffodil Delight and Lovely Lipstick to colour in the flower images. The Frangipani stamped image are in Melon Mambo, Pineapple Punch and Mango Melody, plus adding a little colour to the flower with the Stampin’ Blends. The leaves are stamped in Pretty Peacock and Shaded Spruce. The Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper is just gorgeous and I especially love the side of the lush foilage using different shades of greens for the Monstera leaves. I've used the DSP on one of my cards and the Pillow Box, it was a must to showcase this beautiful paper. Pretty Peacock was the perfect colour choice for the card base and colour throughout my projects. The Braided Burlap Trim is a natural colour and so versatile. I’ve lightly frayed the ends to give it a distressed look. The Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder has a weave pattern, once I embossed a piece of Old Olive Cardstock, I added Versamark Ink by running the Ink Pad onto the Cardstock and I also added Shaded Spruce Ink with the Sponge Dauber. The Tropical Oasis Memories & More Card Pack can make you a quick card in minutes, as I had a few of the stamped images already created and die images cut out to help you to create this Birthday card. I’ve used one of the double-sided cards for the background, lightly sponged Melon Mambo Ink onto the card before adding the flowers, Burlap Trim and sentiment. The final touch I’ve added tiny Gold Foil flowers and the antique bronze leaf. All of the Stampin’ Up! products that I’ve used in these projects will be listed at the end of the blog post and are available at my online store. Be sure to visit everyone’s blog and see what others have created for the month of February. Make sure you come back next month for more inspiration and see our creations. Now it’s time to head on over to Kerstin Kreuzer on the Design Team and to see her creation. Thank you for stopping by! Welcome to another Creative Showcase with the Art With Heart Team. This month we are featuring Masculine themed projects. We have many masculine themed products in the Stampin’ Up! range including Stamp Sets and coordinating Dies, Designer Series Papers, Embellishments and Embossing Folders. Art With Heart Team have a wonderful selection of projects to inspire you to create Masculine Masterpieces I’ve created three cards using the Tropical Oasis Suite which is from the 2020 Mini Catalogue. I just adore the retro tropical images, the DSP, Coastal Weave Embossing Folder, Braided Burlap Trim and there is so much more in the suite. My cards are based on the colours used in the DSP, I've used Soft Suede, Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake. These colours say masculine to me. I’ve created my own palm tree DSP in Pretty Peacock with Ink and Cardstock. Layered over the embossed Cardstock in Pretty Peacock using the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder and then I ran the ink pad over the embossed piece, giving it more definition. The Stitched So Sweetly Dies are also from the Mini Catalogue, I’ve used the larger die and sponged Pretty Peacock Ink on the edges. I like to add many different elements and textures to finish off my card. This card I’ve created using the Petina Technique, I started off sponging Ink in Pool Party, Pretty Peacock, Soft Suede onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I’ve embossed it with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder, dab it with Versamark and heat embossed it with Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder. The added layers for the card are from the Timeless Tropical Bundle, Tropical Oasis DSP, Tropical Oasis Trinkets and Braided Burlap Trim. They are all layered over the Stitched So Sweetly Die in Soft Suede. I had also lightly sponged ink onto the tropical flower and leaves. The last card is using the Tropical Oasis Memories & More Card Pack I’ve used one of the larger card fronts, softly sponged Crumb Cake Ink onto the card and layered on top of Soft Suede card base. The Stitched So Sweetly Dies are used again, but this time I’ve used two of them. One is in Soft Suede, the other in Crumb Cake and sponging ink to each of the die cut pieces. Layering a few more items from the suite and then you’ve completed another card. As you can see that by using the same suite, plus a few other items from the Mini Catalogue the ideas are endless for a masculine card. The next demonstrator to share their Masculine project with you is the very talented Catherine Proctor If you have a broken link or have come to this blog hop midway, you can view all the participants below: Christina Barnes Kate Morgan Andrea Sargent Sharon Davern Tina Gillespie Vicki Boucher Catherine Proctor Rachel Woollard Rebecca Jacovou Sujatha Harding Michele Taylor Caroline Manwaring Product List Stamps: Timeless Tropical and Label Me Bold Dies: In the Tropics and Stitched So Sweetly Cardstock/Paper: Pretty Peacock, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper Ink: Soft Suede, Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake Colouring Tools: Sponge Daubers, Heat Tool and Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder Other Stampin’ Up! Hello there and welcome to 2020 on the blog! The Just Add Ink team are kicking off the new year with our annual blog hop. It is extra special this year as we are celebrating 10 years and 1000 followers for the Just Add Ink challenges! You may have come from Denita's blog, be starting the blog hop here on my blog, or you can go to Just Add Ink, and then follow the links at the end of each team members blog post on to the next. This year the theme is very appropriately 'Celebrate!'. So many joyful occasions can fall under that theme. For me the first big family event of the year is my daughters birthday, so birthday card it is. I had a blogging break at the end of the last year, and was a bit worried I might be rusty, but the sheer enjoyment of playing with new stuff (TimelessTropical in particular, which ironically was not my first pick from the new SU! mini catalogue) and colouring made putting this card together easier than expected. It really is all about the colouring! I stamped my images in a very light ink and then used SU! Blends (alcohol markers) to no line colour the flowers. I should really have taken step-by-step photos as for most of the process honestly they look pretty ordinary and then at the end the multiple layers of ink, blend and end up looking finished. So my best tip for alcohol marker colouring is to persist and keep adding layers of colour and contrast. Jan McQueen is next on the blog hop, so please go on and check out her fantastic project, and then to the rest of the team. Then come back and join in the challenge we'd love to see your 'Celebrate' project.
