Ok, so I've discovered I REALLY like the new First Frost Bundle in the Holiday Catalog. I knew I liked it, but when I set out to make a birthday card and still wanted to use this bundle...I realized I REALLY like it! It's got to be the adorable flowers. They have a watercolored look and are just downright pretty! The flowers are layered on top of sweet Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and some die cut and punched leaves. The sentiment is stamped in Calypso Coral and cut with one of the Stitched Label Framelits. One of the adorable Blossoms
Welcome to ESAD Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop. So excited to present Frosted Floral from the 'New' Holiday Catalogue. You will be inspired by 26 talented designers in this hop... We are all members of the ESAD group, we LOVE sharing our creations with you all... You may be starting with me or have just left Amity Knight blog. I am sure that Amity has created a beautiful project <3 The catalogue has over 50 pages of inspiration, it went LIVE on the 5th. All products are available until 2 Jan 2019 or until stock sold out. This product suite is my favourite from the whole catalogue. I needed a Wedding Card for this weekend, so last minute Nelly here decided that she best create one on the day that she should be packing... Turns out I couldn't really do much today, we got some rain so it was a great excuse to create!!! In the catalogue on pg 37 they have co-ordinating cardstock of Blackberry Bliss, Gray Granite and Tranquil Tide...So pretty. So I decided to use Balmy Blue as this was the Bridesmaids dress colour. I do love what I created with these colours... I used the Stamparatus to create my background of the card... This tool allows you to position your stamp, add your ink and then stamp Then move your plate with the stamp along the hinges to create a pattern without having to reposition your stamp everytime... It is such a time saver. Then I cut myself out the same shapes I stamped and created another layer over to top of the stamped area...I created a template so that I could position the diecut and stamp with making any whoopsie's. I also used my Take Your Pick Multipurpose Tool to lift out my stamped diecuts. This tool comes with a putty ended pick up tool, to add your sequins to your card. AND you can buy refills for your putty end too. This tool also comes with a mini spatula - paper piercer - small and large stylus.. Such a versatile tool!!! I stamped and die cut flowers, leaves to add to my card front. Love it that Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies come with 2 small floral dies saves you time when you can cut many flowers at the same time. In this photo you can see how I created the background of the card with the precision of alignment from the Stamparatus... Have I told you I LOVE this tool I don't think you can see in the Wishing you ALL THE BEST, I shadow stamped with Gray Granite and 2nd generation Blackberry Bliss. So here is a closer look...I used the Stamparatus again to make sure it was PERFECT. I just moved the cardstock ever so slightly, so you could see the shadow. I had fun creating this card, I hope you liked it too <3 Thank you for visiting my blog <3 Please leave me and the other ESAD members some LOVE in the comments box below. For today's project, I am featuring the First Frost Stamp Set along with the coordinating Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies. This set made it's first appearance in the last Holiday Catalog. CARD This is a beautiful card created with the Stampin Up First Frost stamp set and coordinating Frosted Bouquet dies. The design is versatile enough to use for a Christmas/Holiday card. But with a simple change of the greeting, you can turn this into just about anything: birthday, sympathy, wedding/anniversary. The picture frame is created with the Heirloom Frames Dies and 3D Embossing Folder. I shared how to use this set on yesterday's Shimmery Winter Frames video class. Check it out for more ideas. The background was created with the Brick & Mortar embossing folder.
Here it is ~ the first Sneak Peek of the new 2018 Holiday Catalog!! And all this week you'll be seeing new products! Yippee! I'm starting off with my FAVORITE bundle in the catalog, the First Frost Bundle! The Catalog goes live on September 5th, so start making your list as you see my sneak peeks :-) This set is SO pretty. Look at these flowers! Here I've stamped them in Flirty Flamingo ink, and the way the stamp is made gives the light and dark shading. The vine stamp has similar shading. Pretty, right? The Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies
Today I am sharing a lovely card made using the First Frost stamp set and co-ordinating Frosted Bouquet dies and gold foil card
A beautiful color combination along with the First Frost bundle from Stampin' Up! combine to make a lovely First Frost with Buffalo Check card!
Welcome to Kylie Bertucci’s International Highlights for December 2018. The theme this month is “Thankfulness and Gratitude.” Imagine my surprise when I took a look at the results of the votes and saw my card was #1. Total surprise! I am so thankful and humbled. Thank you a hundred times over for your wonderful votes! When I saw the theme for December was Thankfulness & Gratitude, I had in mind a simple card of white on white. Here's my card. I hope you agree that sometimes less is more. A little die cutting and embossing, stamping and you've got yourself a pretty card that would lend itself to other occasions simply by changing the sentiment. Have you seen the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set? It's such a versatile set, making it a must-have in your craft stash! I love the fonts Stampin' Up! used! The combination of Merry Merlot & Mossy Meadow are a dream come true and perfect for the flowers & greenery in the First Frost Bundle. Sadly, this is a retiring bundle, as is the Corrugated Embossing Folder, however, you have until January 2nd to order before they're gone forever! For the inside of the card I inked up one of the flowers, again with Merry Merlot, and stamped the image 3 times without re-inking to achieve the dark to light look of the flowers. The finished card. I'm loving the simplicity. Please feel free to leave me a comment. To purchase Stampin' Up! products click here. I thank you for your business! Okay, I admit it, I've gone crazy over the Corrugated embossing folder. I may tire of it someday, but right now, I can't stop using it! You get so much texture without even trying.
First Frost 2018 Holiday series will feature cards using the First Frost Bundle and coordinating products. www.simplysaidwithkaren.com
Black and white stripes are classic. They give a fresh and modern look to everything ~ including cards! So how do you create a striped background? Well, you might use a designer paper that has black and white stripes. But you also might create your own stripes :-) Start with a panel of Whisper White card stock 4' x 5-1/4.' Cut 5 strips of Basic Black card stock to 4' x 1/2.' Lay them across the white panel at 1/2' intervals. To get the spacing close to exact (it's hard to be totally exact!), you can use a few methods.
I love the way this First Frost card turned out. It looks like a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I used the First Frost Bundle which includes the First Frost stamp set and Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies. I stamped the flowers in Berry Burst ink and the leaves in Old Olive ink. I cut out leaves with Old Olive cardstock and the other branches are cut out in Berry Burst cardstock.
Hello and welcome, Today’s card is for the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI61 and the colour palette for this challenge is Whisper White, Soft Suede, Gray Granite and Mint Macaron. I just love the photos they have chosen for this challenge and I couldn’t wait to create a card using the above mentioned colours they so suit a vintage card. I’ve used the Stitched Lace Die with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock the detail of the Die is so stunning and with lots of detail. I’ve sponged the Lace Cardstock with Gray Granite Ink and a Sponge Dauber. The oval Heirloom Frames Embossing Folder and Die just makes a beautiful addition to the card. The best way to use this set is by running a piece of Cardstock through the Big Shot with the Die and then use the Embossing Folder. I also sponged Gray Granite Ink on the detailed embossed image. The stamp set I’ve used is First Frost and the coordinating Dies Frosted Bouquet. The soft stamped images are in Mint Macaron, Gray Granite and Soft Suede. Before layering the arrangement of flowers and foliage, I’ve placed a piece of Whisper White Cardstock which was embossed with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. I like to layer the oval Heirloom Frame with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then add the stamped images to the card. The sentiment has been stamped in Soft Suede and fussy cut out. The card base is Soft Suede which brings out the detail of the Stitched Lace Cardstock. Thank you for visiting my blog today. Happy Crafting Vicki Boucher Live in Australia? You will love the new Frosted Floral suite in the new 2018 Holiday catalog that starts on Sept 5th. Yes, it is coming soon! This suite is really for all year around but the roses and other elements in this set along with the DSP have a winter frosted look to them. I used my Softly Falling emboss folder for the challenge which met both of the challenge requirements! I added it to a layer of Merry Merlot and then a white base. I stamped the flowers from First Frost set in Merlot on white and cut them with the matching dies. Same for the leaves but used Mossy Meadow ink. I stamped the sentiment in Merlot and cut it with the matching tag die. I added a another of the same shape die behind in Merlot card stock. So sweet! Hope you can play along over at festibefridaychallenge.com Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely week! This was a no brainer! I thought when I saw the color challenge over at fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com this week that I must use the First Frost bundle! I used a piece of water color paper for the background water colored with Balmy Blue ink and my aqua painter. I layered it on a piece of Highland Heather card stock for the base. I stamped the large rose in Gorgeous Grape and the two small ones in Highland Heather. I then stamped the two long stems in Tranquil Tide and all were cut with the matching Frosted Bouquet dies. I also used the dies to cut a white and two Powder Pink filer stems. The sentiment from the same set is stamped in Heather on a stitched white oval with a strip of Tranquil Tide trim behind. A few pearls on the small roses finishes off the sweet bouquet kind of card! Hope you can play along with the color challenge and thanks for stopping by!
