Hello my crafting friends, Today I am excited to share with you my May 2022 Artisan Design Team Project. To purchase any of these products, please visit my online store. The link is below in the description. Today I am going to share with you two never before seen (on my YouTube channel) blending techniques. Add embossing buddy first to the vellum, then stamp in VersaMark ink. Cover with white embossing powder and heat set. Cut out with coordinating dies. 2- Create a blending background on one of the 4 ¼” x 5 ½” Basic White Cardstock. I used Sweet Sorbet, Starry Sky, Tahitian Tide, and Parakeet Party Ink Pads with Blending Brushes. 3- Use you Wide Water Painter with no water in the bladder. Get the brush wet and then tap on a paper towel until the bristles begin to separate into clumps. Then swipe across the blended background once or twice with the damp Water Painter. Pick up any excess water with a paper towel. Repeat over the entire background. 4- Once that is dry trim down to 3 ¼” x 4 ½”, which is about ½” from all sides. This give the background nice clean edges. 5- Emboss one of the 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White cardstock pieces with the Gingham Embossing Folder and add it to the center of the cardbase. 6- Add the Blending Background to the center of the 3 3/8” x 4 5/8” Basic Black Cardstock. Add 24” of Black Twine to the bottom of the blended piece wrap around twine and tie a bow on either side. Then add everything to the center of the cardbase with dimensionals. 7- Add the white flowers with dimensionals in a nice arrangement to the center above the twine. Make sure to add the dimensionals behind the image so you don’t see it through the vellum – The mini dimensionals are perfect for this. 8- Cut out the “Sending” in Basic Black Cardstock with adhesive sheet. Cut out the background bubble for the sending die cut in Basic White Cardstock. Layer and add to your card with dimensionals above the twine. 9- Stamp your second greeting on Basic Black Cardstock with VersaMark, make sure to use Embossing Buddy before you stamp. Cover with white embossing powder and heat set. Cut out with one of the label dies and add below the twine with dimensionals. All Done! Card #2 1- Stamp your images of the flowers and stems that you want to use on vellum cardstock. Add embossing buddy first to the vellum, then stamp in VersaMark ink. Cover with white embossing powder and heat set. Cut out with coordinating dies. 2- Flip the flowers and stems over and work on the back side. Use your blending brushes and the same colors as card #2. Blend the color right on to the vellum. The color can rub off the vellum, but it will dry over time so don’t touch it too much. I used the Parakeet Party for the leaves and stems, medium size flower in Sweet Sorbet, small flower in Tahitian Tide. Then the tall flowers in Starry Night at the top and Sweet Sorbet at the bottom. 3- Emboss one of the 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White cardstock pieces with the Gingham Embossing Folder and add it to the center of the cardbase. 4- Stamp your greeting at the bottom of the 3” x 4 ¼” Basic Black cardstock. Stamp in VersaMark, make sure to use Embossing Buddy before you stamp. Cover with white embossing powder and heat set. 5- Wrap 22” of White Bakers Twine twice above the greeting and tie a bow on the left side. Add to the center of the cardbase with dimensionals. 6- Add the neon color flowers/stems with mini dimensionals in a nice arrangement to the center above the twine. Make sure to add the dimensionals behind the image so you don’t see it through the vellum – The mini dimensionals are perfect for this. 7- Stamp “Sending” on Vellum in VersaMark make sure to use Embossing Buddy before you stamp. Cover with white embossing powder and heat set. Cut out with coordinating die. Add to your card above the twine with dimensionals. All Done! It's Friday! It's time for a new Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #679 | Colour Challenge. This weeks colour combo has been suggested by fellow JAI Design Team Member - Di. This week we are using a pretty colour combo - Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, and Pool Party. Just gorgeous! I've used this weeks challenge colours to show you a sneaky peek of some products that will be available in the 2024 Jan - Apr Mini Catalogue. I attended the Stampin' Up! On Stage @ Home online conference over the weekend and one of the privileges of attending a Stampin' Up! On Stage Event, is that you get to pre-order select products from the new catalogue before the official pre-order. And I was super lucky that they arrived so quickly that I could have a play and create something for you for this weeks challenge. This Hot Air Balloon Stamp and Die Bundle come from the Lighter Than Air Suite. The suite comes with the Hot Air Balloon Bundle, a Bakers Twine Three Colour Pack, some Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots and the Lighter Than Air 6" x 6" DSP. The colors of the DSP and the embellisments are gorgeous and give a soft rainbow look and feel. For my card today I've gone with a Basic White base and then I've made a cloud background using a Mini Cloud Edges Stencil fron My Favourite Things with the Pool Party colour and the Stampin' Up! Blending Brushes. This is the layered onto some Pool Party cardstock. The large balloon I've stamped in Petal Pink and then accented with the scalloped details die to give my hot air balloon that extra pretty look. The smaller balloons have been stamped in Calypso Coral. This balloon uses two stamps to make the one image. So one part of the stamp was stamped in full strength Calypso Coral and then the other part was stamped with the ink stamped off once to get the variation in colour. I've then finished off the card very simply with some of the new Rainbow Adhesive-backed Dots, Linen Thread, and a gold embossed sentiment. I do hope that you like my little sneaky peek with these new and gorgeous products and that I've given you a little inspiration in using them. Go and check out the design teams take on this week's colours at the Just Add Ink Blog for some inspiration and then come and join in this week's sketch fun! I can't wait to see what you create. Hello friends, I guess this card is a variation from yesterday’s card but a totally different look. I used Designer Paper yesterday so with today’s card I have stamped the image in the 2 corners. I used a butterfly on both cards. I stamped part of the image from the Enduring Beauty stamp set (#162670) on the 2 corners, onto Basic White card (#159228) with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). The Stampin’ Blends to colour the image are Daffodil Delight (#154883), Bubble Bath (#161675), Fresh Freesia (#155518) and Granny Apple Green (#154885). I added Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) to the flowers. I punched the corners of the card with the Very Best Trio punch (#159878). The card front was matted with Basic Black card (#121688) and Crushed Curry card (#131288) and attached to the Basic White base card. I coloured the Butterfly from the Paper Butterfly Accents (#162612) using Blending Brushes (#153611) with Lemon Lolly ink (#161666), Daffodil Delight ink (#147094) and Crushed Curry ink (#147087). I used the Basic Black Stampin’ Blends (#154843) for the feelers. The butterfly was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). I cut very fine pieces to fit under the body. The gold gems from the Blooming Pearls (#162238) were added to the butterflies body. The yellow gems are from the Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems (#161300). “Best Wishes” from Artistically Inked stamp set (#154542) was stamped with Crushed Curry ink and cut with a Stylish Shapes die (#159183). This was attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. 3 Ideas with Latte Love, such much more than just a coffee. Use the papers stamps and dies to create gorgeous cards for those coffee lovers.
With a little Wild Wheat ink, I stamped the bushel of roses from the Stippled Roses stamp set and cropped them with the coordinating dies. I knew which papers I wanted to use on my card, but I hadn't decided how to showcase them and what colors to bring in,
I had so much fun coloring the Simply Zinnia stamp from Stampin' Up! with BOTH my Stampin' Blends markers and Watercolor Pencils! Yes, you can combine them on one image!! The watercolor pencils tend to give a lovely deep shading or shadow effect that sometimes I can't get with just the markers. I'm including all the color combinations I used, but just a reminder: the new colors (Pretty in Pink, Petunia Pop, Summer Splash and Shy Shamrock) will not be available until 5/1/24 to customers.
