Cut the front piece to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”. 2- Trim off the folded edge from the Peach Envelope. From the back piece cut a piece that is 2 ½” x 4 ¼”. 3- Cut the Blue Cardbase in half at 4 ¼”. Then cut one side down to 2” x 4 ¼”. 4- From the Gimmer Paper remove ¼” from one side. Cut down to 4 ¼” x ¼”. 5- Splatter any green marker over the Green Envelope piece. I used Shaded Spruce. Add this to the front of the Thick Basic White Cardbase. 6- Layer the Blue Pattern piece on the Peach Envelope piece with a small border (about 1/8”) at the top. Then add the Glimmer Strip at the bottom so the bottom border is about the same as the top. 7- Stamp a greeting in Shy Shamrock ink in the top left corner of the Blue Pattern piece. Add this to the cardbase with about 1 ¼” at the top. 8- Layer a section of the Dark Green Fern Die in the bottom left corner. Trim off the excess. (see the video for more details @ 07:45) 9-Trim off another small section from the Large Fern Die Cut. (10:40) Add it to the top right corner. 10- Add the large Peach Dies with dimensionals in the open area on the right side of the greeting. I placed the darker peach behind and closer to the top. The lighter peach is close to the greeting. 11- Cut out thanks with the Thanks & Beyond from Shaded Spruce Cardstock. Add under the stamped greeting with dimensionals. OCTOBER KIT ALTERNATE PROJECTS It’s time for our APPT – “A Paper Pumpkin Thing” blog hop and it is full of inspiration. This month we’re sharing alternate ideas featuring the October 2023 “Home for the Holidays” Paper Pumpkin kit. Take the blog hop below for more inspiration. I've crafted not one, but TWO unique fun fold cards from the die cut houses of the kit. Like architectural masterpieces in miniature, each one a story of its own! 🏘️ See what I did there? Houses? Architure? 🦒One of the fun folds, ready to pack a punch, had an unexpected visitor. The fun giraffe from the Festive & Fun stamp set! Because, why not? We're all about fun here, aren't we? 😆The gift bag created right out of the card base, armed with the Tricks & Treats Dies. Talk about repurposing! 💡 Below are the detailed instructions for you to create these. Remember, refills are available while they last, so stock up! What comes up in November? 🎅🏻 It's a coordinating "Warm Wishes" kit that you wouldn't want to miss! So, don't forget to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin and let your creative spirit soar!
Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing my Painted Petals Centre-Step Cards using the July Painted Petals Paper Pumpkin Kit by Stampin’ Up!
Welcome to our Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop to share alternative design ideas for the Delicate Wings April 2024 kit. I am smitten for the champagne foil and beautiful images in this kit. These are the cards that were designed for the kit compenents. I used the Thanks & Beyond Dies Add-On for my alternative design and a Basic Gray card base. You can see that I strategically die cut the Champagne foil layer so that it will still be an adequate layer as designed behind this die cut butterfly. I placed this behind the Very Vanilla card stock butterfly that I die cut with both butterfly dies. I cut up a card base from the kit to have a layer 2-1/8 x 5" for my card. I'm really happy with my layered butterfly. And the interior has a 4 x 5-1/4" layer of Very Vanilla cardstock and I stamped the butterfly with the Basic Gray ink spot. Now join me to hop over to our other designers and their clever ideas: Blog Hop Index Don’t miss the coordinating Thanks & Beyond Dies Add-On! This exclusive add-on (item 164397) coordinates with the three upcoming kits! Paper Pumpkin subscribers can now purchase it. Hi, Everyone and welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Over the next couple days, I am going to share with you 10 card id...
You can download the free project sheet for today's alternate card ideas here: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/sl/fh1FsDm/octoberpaperpumpkinalt Today’s Alternate Card Idea is a Step Fold Pop Card or a ‘Tier card.’ I am never quite sure what to call it but it's easy and it's ADORABLE! We are working with the October 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit: Home for the Holidays and I will list alternate products used for these cards as well. October 2023 Paper Pumpkin Coordinating Colors We have one fun fold today in two different layouts: vertical and horizontal just like the kit cards this month. TWO-STEP POP UP CARD MEASUREMENTS: VERTICAL Card Base: 4-1/4 x 11" Score: 5-1/2" (Lemon Lolly Cardstock) Lower Pop Up Panel: 4 x 4-1/4" Score: 1/2", 1-1/2", 2-1/2", 3-1/2" (Lemon Lolly Cardstock) Upper Pop Up Panel: 3-1/2 x 4-1/4" Score: 1/2", 1", 2-1/2", 3" (Lemon Lolly Cardstock) Vertical Card Scene from Kit (Top): 2-3/4 x 4” Vertical Homes Die Cut 1: Trim 1/2” from bottom Vertical House Layer Die Cut 2: 1-3/8 x 4-1/4” Insert for Card: 4 x 5-1/4" (use the back of the Paper Pumpkin card base) HORIZONTAL Card Base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2" Score: 4-1/4" The only measurement that changes is the length from 4-1/4 to 5-1/2 for the step panels so it lines up with the the horizontal card base. All score lines are exactly the same. TO DECORATE HORIZONTAL CARD Trim the top of the card front on horizontal kit card to 1-1/2 x 5-1/4" Top pop panel: same layer, cut the next part to 1-3/8 x 5-1/4" Bottom pop panel: 7/8 x 5-1/4" or use the the die cut piece of 4 houses on the front panel. Trim end OPTIONAL: add die cut trees on the top pop panel behind houses INSTRUCTIONS: Add the two pop up panels first starting with the bottom panel (4 x 4-1/4") piece Burnish score lines with Bone Folder for crisp folds Line 1/2" flap with the edge of the card front so the pop up panel is folding inward at the bottom of the card front Fold in the 1/2" panel on the opposite end of pop up piece and add adhesive Fold panel back so both 1/2" panels line up and touch back-to-back on card base and press down The bottom pop up square should be in place For the top pop up tier, there are two 1/2" panels on either end of this piece (3-1/2 x 4-1/4" piece) Add adhesive to both 1/2" panels on one side because the one 1/2" gets glued to the bottom pop up and the other 1/2" gets secured to the card Add adhesive to the outer most 1/2" panel at the top of the upper pop up panel Press the bottom pop up mechanism so it's flat against the card base Fold the top panel flap back and press down to adhere the glue You want both 1/2" inch panels folded back on the top piece but only the edge has the tear and tape Now you can pop up both panels together and decorate Once you've added your pop up mechanisms the hard part is done and your fun fold is created! Now, to decorate, because we do not have DSP, we are going to use the scenes on the card fronts in the kit along with the die cuts to decorate these cards. Top panel layer: Trim vertical card front scene to 2-3/4 x 4" Top pop panel layer: 1-3/8 x 4" or use the full die cut piece (vertical with two houses on it) and trim about 1/2" off of the bottom Bottom pop panel layer: 7/8 x 4" or use the full die cut piece with the single red house and trim about 1-1/8" inches off of the bottom ADHESIVE PLACEMENT ON POP OR STEP LAYERS Just be sure to place the glue at the bottom only of each layer. Because this is a fun fold the glue only goes on the area where it will be glued to the pop up panel. It needs to move when the card is folded closed and then opened. STAMPING Use the banners in the kit to stamp sentiments in Real Red ink. Stamp greeting on inside layer and add to card. You can also stamp the snowflakes in Balmy Blue ink or the House stamp image in Balmy Blue ink, if desired. Layer the banner over the glitter pieces in the Paper Pumpkin Kit for added sparkle. P.S. - DON'T FORGET THE AWESOME GLITTER GLUE! It's a great accent on the rooftops/ snow. ST. NICHOLAS ALTERNATE Measurements exactly the same as vertical card above. You will need: Die Cut Chimney (Cherry Cobbler Cardstock) (Saint Nicholas Dies) Die Cut Chimney Top (Cherry Cobbler Cardstock) (Saint Nicholas Dies) Die Cut St. Nicholas (Traditions of St. Nick DSP) Die Cut Snow Cap for Chimney Top (leftover piece of white card in kit or Basic White Cardstock) Rustic Christmas Countdown Kit Sequins *Optional* INSTRUCTIONS Trim feet off of St. Nick and glue behind the chimney. Add chimney top with dimensionals. Glue snow cap to top of chimney top. Add glitter glue. Add to the bottom pop panel, center. Careful to keep glue low so St. Nick moves with the card as it pops up and down. I hope you enjoyed today's alternate card ideas for the Paper Pumpkin Kit! Add to the center of the label with a small dimensional under the center of the butterfly and a glue dot along the outer edge. This will add more dimension to the wings. Slightly bend the center wings up. 5- Stamp “Sending Loving” in Basic White on White Cardstock and fussy cut. Add this to the center of the butterfly with a small dimensional in the center. 6- To finish the greeting, stamp “thoughts your way” in Basic Gray in the center on the inside. Cut the Multicolor Planks piece in half to 2 ½” x 3 ¾”. 2- Lay the Multicolor piece in the center of the Crumb Cake piece and stamp the small group of dots (Cloud) in Crumb Cake ink in the top left & bottom right corners to create photo corners. Add the Crumb Cake piece to the center of the cardbase. Add the Multicolor piece to the center with dimensionals. 3- Stamp Trees in Misty Moonlight on the Hexagon Label. Cut the bottom at ½” (the tip should be at ½”) 4- Stamp greeting in Early Espresso on 1” x 2 1/8” Crumb Cake Cardbase piece. Adhere the top and bottom of the Hexagon Label to the back of the greeting to create the illusion of a longer label. 5- Create a faux bow with 16” to the back of the label. Add to the center of the card with dimensionals. Card #2 Thick Basic White Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” Basic White Cardstock – scrap for greeting Misty Moonlight Cardbase – 2 ¼” x 5” Multicolor Planks (kit) – 2 ½” x 3 ¾” Circle with Trees Die Cut (kit) Linen Thread – 12” 1- Cut the Misty Moonlight Cardbase at 2 ¼” then trim the length to 5”. 2- Use a pair of Paper Snips to separate the left planks from the right along the zig-zag (Mulitcolor Planks piece). 3- Rotate one side to match the other to create a chevron shape. One side might be larger than the other, this is okay. Tape them together on the back. 4- Trim the straight edge to be even. 5- Adhere the Multicolor piece to the left of the Misty Moonlight piece so together they are 3 ¾” wide. Add this to the center of the Basic White Cardstock with dimensionals. 6- Add the Circle with Trees Die Cut with dimensionals to hide any size discrepancy. 7- Stamp your greeting in Early Espresso ink on Basic White Cardstock. Use the Hexagon Die from Thanks & Beyond Dies and place it so the greeting sits at the bottom of the die. Run through Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. 9- Rotate the Die and line up the long edge along the top of the greeting, with the greeting inside the die. Run through. 10- Add the greeting in the bottom left corner of the Circle Die Cut with a dimensional on the left. 11- Tie a bow with 12” of Linen Thread and place in the top right corner of the greeting. I have also created a video walking you through each step. To purchase any Stampin’ Up! products please visit https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2042902 Have a creative day! Chelsey [email protected]
