There are so many amazing and wonderful new products in Stampin' Up!'s 2021 Annual Catalog! By the time you get to page 162, you might find yourself exhausted by all the wonderful, new things you've spotted and added to your wish list. You can't stop there, though, because there are
Hi! It's me again! Sorry for the absence lately. I've been under the weather, fighting a cold. Been trying to get back my voice but with my line of work, a days rest may cost me. But hey, I have to think about my health too, right. So I started feeling better and getting my groove going..hihi. Here are cute petal cone cards I've been wanting to make. I've seen so many use of the BigShot Petal Cone die #121810 (2011 OMC). I've seen hearts, carrots for Easter and alot of ice cream cones. And my best bet are these Ice Cream cone cards. Perfect for a birthday or a thank you note! Inside these cone cards, I've ran through another piece with Very Vanilla CS so it may be inserted inside the card. Then punched out a 1" Circle Glimmer Red Paper #121790 (love this accent paper) as the cherry on top. Take note that I had to put a pearl embellishment inside the card so it may not easily slide off the card when tilted. You can position it at a couple of inches above the bottom tip of the cone. MAKING A BIG ROSSETTE: Use the XL 2-1/2" Circle punch to punch out a piece of BigShot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets #120805 (the best adhesive paper out there, you may use it in any project that needs double sided glue). Then cut 1 yard of your Chocolate Chip Brown Satin Ribbon. Twist your ribbon from the center onto the Multipurpose Adhesive which was peeled off on one side first. Continue to twist and roll until it looks like a Cinnabon Bun..hehe. (a Cinnamon Bun) You may have to trim some of the adhesive paper at the end. Press your bun firmly onto the adhesive paper. Then you're ready to peel off the paper backing of your bun and stick onto your cone! Yummmm! TIP: I used dimensionals to tuck in the ribbon end. MAKING THE CRIMPED RIBBON: My mom calls it as the SMOCKING technique. In her early years, she would sew our clothes rather than buying them. She loved to sew dresses, home decors and embroider them. She knew what it was called when she saw my card..hihi. But I did mine the easy way, GLUE GUN is my magic sewing machine. Cut 8" of Chocolate Chip Brown Satin ribbon then apply glue 2 inches at a time and "SMOCK" the ribbon up to the other side of the card. It looked like Chocolate shavings on a cake..mmmmm. You can also see that I used the long tag from the Petal Cone die and folded it to wrap around the cone. Ain't it gorgeous! I luv it! Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions. Please visit my blog and my Stampin Up Website! Have a nice day!

Back in 2012 a cute little lion called Blossom visited my blog & he's been a fave & very popular little guy with blog visitors since. So of course I had to recreate him when I was in the middle of my curvy Keepsake box character obsession (back in October-November). I kept meaning to share the boxes but something else kept getting in the way. That is, until this week when (to my horror) I remembered that Blossom's punch namesake is on our list of retiring products. Noooo! Thankfully, the fabulous Curvy Keepsake box die will be carrying over to our new Annual Catalogue so definite sigh of relief from me about that :-) Anyway, I'm sure you want to see Blossom's updated look so here he is: You can see his cute little face & blossom punch mane & paws better in this pic. I sponged all the main punched pieces with crumb cake ink to add some extra depth. Can you work out which punches make Blossom? Well, you don't have to as I've here's a pic of my chart showing all the punches/shapes & there are links to all items below (click on the pic to see a bigger view). As of today, the blossom punch is still available to purchase, but will be gone for good on June 2nd...if it doesn't sell out before. So, if you don't have it, then get it now, as it's such a useful punch for punch art, butterflies & of course flowers (with it's matching stamp set, Mixed Bunch). Here's a final image of all 3 pics so you can pin or save it for later too. Thanks for visiting today & I hope Blossom brought a smile to your face. If you have any questions about him or want to say hello, just leave me a comment. Pop back soon, as I have lots more boxes to share. Hi everyone, Welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. Today I am bringing you a little instructional post and video to show how to use the Flowers and Leaves punch from the Annual Catalogue. This punch coordinates with the Flowers of Friendship stamp set. It punches out the two flowers and leaves on the right. But if you try and stamp any of these images individually, you will find that there is a lot of card stock wasted as the punch will cut out part of the other images at the same time. The way to avoid this is to mount all the stamps on a clear block together so that they can all be punched out at once. Not only is this a card stock saver but also a great time saver. I have recorded a short video to show you how to do it which you can watch by CLICKING HERE or on the image below. Here is the whole process, step by step in photos. First punch out all 4 shapes from a piece of card stock. This next step is really important - turn the punched card stock over and mark it so that you know which way round to use it. Then mount the large flower on a clear block. I used a Block D. Position the punched template over the stamp image and hold it in place. Whilst holding it, manoeuvre the smallest leaf into position, using the punched template as a guide. Repeat the process for the larger leaf. And finally the smaller flower. This is what you should see once the template is removed. It looks like the block isn't quite big enough in the photos but in real life it is fine! You can then stamp all 4 images at once. And punch them all out at once! Although, rather than punch them straight away, I would recommend colouring them first. I hope you find that helpful. Of course it will work for any of our punches which punch out more than one image. And I'll be back later this week with a new project featuring these punched flowers. Do come back to see that!
