This fun center pop-up card was made using the Back On Your Feet stamp set (#149385) from the 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. The Designer Series Paper is called Garden Lane (#149488). I had so much fun with this poor little turtle stuck on his back! This was one of the cards we made in class last month. All the images in this cute set are absolutely perfect for sending a sweet "thinking of you" note. Back on Your Feet Stamp Set
I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card! The fun design was made using the Envelope Punch Board and Old Olive cardstock. The DSP is Sweet Taffy and the fabulous, bold flowers are from the Flower Patch Photopolymer stamp set and cut out perfectly with the Flower Fair Framelits. These two items can be purchased together as a bundle and you save 15%. This is one of the projects we made in Stamp Club. If you live near O'Fallon or Union, Missouri, and would like to visit or join one of my clubs, please let me know. We would love to have you! This is one of the cards we made Saturday at the Christmas Card Sampler Class. It is actually very simple to create, using the emboss resist technique to make the white sentiment and star show through. The stamp set is Every Blessing on page 70 of the Annual Catalog. The only ink you need for this is Night of Navy and Versamark. White Embossing Powder is used for the sentiment and star. One single Basic Rhinestone embellishes this lovely card. I admit the idea for this card is not original. I found it somewhere on the internet, but don't know the name of the original creator, as her name was not watermarked on the image. So when I went back to look at the ideas I had saved, I had no way to return to the original website. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think of this card.

Today I wanted to share with you the fun birthday card I made for my son, Zachary. It's definitely a bit unconventional, especially since it's for his 18th birthday! I chose to make it fun and creative, since he is so very creative and still loves to build and create with Legos. Honestly, he really does! After he creates detailed scenes and men with them, he takes hundreds of photos and makes stop-motion videos which he then sets to music, adds sound effects, and enters some into contests. So that's a bit of the background as to why I chose this for his birthday. This incredible creativity truly is who he is and I hope he always nurtures that creative soul. The card is a center step card, giving it lots of dimension. The sentiments are from Delightful Dozen and Remembering Your Birthday. I just love all the fun messages in both of these sets, don't you? I used bold primary colors Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point. The little circles on the Legos were made with the 1/2" circle punch and sponged with the coordinating color to give it a little depth. I also popped them up on Dimensionals. I think they really do look like Legos! Of course, I had to make a custom envelope using my Envelope Punch Board, as I extended the Legos off the edges of the card, so it wouldn't fit into a standard envelope.

Another Great Year is such a fun and lively stamp set. It's perfect for all ages, male or female. I made this card for my brother-in-law's birthday. I thought the patterns and colors had a somewhat masculine tone. To create the banner around the word "Birthday", I stamped the image a second time on Crushed Curry cardstock, cut out the banners, and adhered them to the white cardstock banners. Be careful to line up the overlapping "B." The Bermuda Bay strips at the bottom sort of "tied" it all together, and then I added a retired silver button. Inside, I stamped the candle image, colored the candles with a blender pen and repeated the same technique I used on the front on the banner for that image. I covered the envelope flap with the same Kaleidoscope DSP. I always do some kind of customizing to my envelopes. I think it really completes a handcrafted card, don't you? Tip: Multipurpose Liquid Tombow is the best way to adhere DSP to your envelope flaps. Draw a thin line of glue around the very edge of the flap, then scribble a thin line through the center. Lay your DSP on the flap lining up carefully, press and trim with your Paper Snips. It is quick, neat and holds like iron! This was a quick and easy card to assemble and it has lots of POP! I did have to fussy cut around the sentiment, but it wasn't too difficult. Then I popped it up with Dimensionals for more depth and dimension. Supplies: Stamp Set: Another Great Year (Celebrate the Everyday Occasions Catalog) Paper: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Kaleidoscope DSP Ink: Black Staz-On Tools: Stampin' Trimmer and Paper Snips Other: Dimensionals, Blender Pens, Retired Silver Button, Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow)
Here is a quick and simple Thank You card made with Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper and Another Thank You Photopolymer stamp set. The simple ribbon addition is the new Blackberry Bliss 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon. This is a great "go to" card when you need a fast thank you! Supplies: Stamp: Another Thank You Ink: Blackberry Bliss Paper: Blackberry Bliss and Whisper White cardstock, Sweet Taffy DSP Tools: Big Shot, Deco Labels Collection Framelits, 2 1/2" Circle Punch Other: Blackberry Bliss Stitched Satin Ribbon, Dimensionals
I am not normally a fan of soft pastels, but this card just takes my breath away! I worked with Watercolor Paper, Aqua Painters, and Blender Pens to color the flowers and vases. The lighting in the picture really does not do this card justice. Supplies Stamp Sets: Vivid Vases (133818w), Love You to the Moon (133140w, 133143c) both from Celebrate the Everyday Catalog, Paper: Crisp Cantaloupe, Island Indigo, Whisper White, Watercolor Wonder DSP (132994) Celebrate the Everyday Catalog Ink: Staz-On Black, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Crisp Cantaloupe, Soft Sky Tools: Big Shot (113439), Chalk Talk Framelits (129983), Aqua Painters (103954), Blender Pens (102845) Other: Dimensionals (104430), In Color Boutique Details (130938)

With this card I have showcased some of the beautiful fall colors. I think leaves in general are very soothing, and the richness of fall colors just magnifies that feeling. This card has a base of Pumpkin Pie with layers of Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry (the "other" fall color). The richness of these colors together is just breathtaking! Inks used were Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, and Pumpkin Pie. To create this effect of the falling leaves, I simply stamped several leaf images in different colors, then topped it with the outline image in Rich Razzleberry. I ran the Old Olive strip through the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder and flagged the ends to give it more texture and interest, then popped up the leaf panel on Dimensionals. I love this card--it looks so stunning and is very quick and easy to make. Supplies: Stamp Sets: Gently Falling (128430-w, 123804-c), A Dozen Thoughts (131056-w, 131059-c) Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie Other: Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder (132174), Paper Snips (103579), Basic Pearls (119247), Dimensionals (104430)

Suite Sayings, Bloomin' Heart Thinlit Dies, Basic Metal Buttons,
Hello Friends! Today I am going to share with you the Easter card we made at Stamp Club in March. It uses a bit of creative punch art (original idea CASED from Justin Kreiger: jkcards.wordpress.com), combined with one of our new Easter stamp sets, Eggstra Spectacular (133068-w, 133071-c). You will find this lighthearted stamp set on page 32 of your Celebrate the Everyday Occasions Catalog. I used one of my very favorite Designer Series Papers, Watercolor Wonder, for some playful pop, various punches, Circles Collection Framelits Dies, and the new Starburst Framelits Dies for the bunny tail. Punch art doesn't have to be limited to only punches! ;) In Stamp Club we make lots of fun and creative cards to share with our family and friends. We make a combination of more time intensive cards, as well as quick and easy cards you can whip up at the last minute and still come off looking fabulous! If you live near the O'Fallon area and would like to know more about Stamp Club, contact me today. We would love to have you join us!
Today I'm sharing a lovely selection of some of the cards I had fun making while recovering from a nasty upper respiratory infection. It certainly made staying home and recuperating more fun! I just decided to play and see where the inspiration led me. I'm just crazy about the new Peaceful Poppies Suite! These poppies are all so gorgeous! Next I'm going to play with the Designer Series Paper. It's so stunning, it is a card all by itself without even stamping! All these poppy products can be found on page 25 of the 2020 Mini-Catalog. I also pulled a "happy birthday" sentiment from By the Dock on page 49 and "How Did I Get so Lucky..." sentiment from Thanks for the Laughs on page 11. By the Dock is a perfect masculine set by itself and I can't wait to explore that set and the coordinating dies soon! I have a few masculine birthdays in February, so I'll be creating with it next. Thanks For the Laughs is a great set of all sentiments sure to make the card maker and recipient giggle. I'm sure when you read them all, some of them will strike you as perfect for a friend or two! The bright field of poppies birthday card in the front was CASED from Michelle Robinson at www.mlbstampinup.blogspot.com. I made a couple small changes to my card but her card certainly gave me the inspiration. Thanks, Michelle! More on each individual card later . . .

This sweet card was made for my brother-in-law's birthday using the Wetlands stamp set, but you could suit this to just about any occasion. The lighting in the photo is a bit harsh, but it really is a nice soft card with Summer Starfruit and Night of Navy. The greeting is from the Hostess set Simply Sketched in the annual catalog. I use that set for so many different cards! Normally there is at least one image in a set that I never use, but every single image in this set has been put to use multiple times! The frame in this card is cut into the front and the image is stamped on the inside so you see it when the card is closed, and opened you still have the image with the greeting below. Supplies Stamp Sets: Wetlands (126695w, 126697c), Simply Sketched (129669w, 129672c) Paper: Summer Starfruit, Night of Navy Ink: Night of Navy Tools: Big Shot (113439), Ovals Collection Framelits (129381), Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder (132174) Retired from Holiday Catalog Other: Dimensionals (104430), Regals Candy Dots (130932)
