Playing with more stuff! I saw a sample on a demonstrator-only Facebook page, and had to try it for my grandsons. What do you think of this: I got this adorable new stamp set, Seaside Shore, and thought it would be fun to make a card for Ethan and Jacob. So I started with the inside--if this wasn't going to work I wasn't going to spend time creating the outside of the card...but it DID work, and it came out so cute. So here is the card from the front. I stamped the fish, masked them with a post-it note (stamped the fish and cut out to create the mask) and then stamped over them with the seaweed. I also added the bubbles. Then I colored them to make them look "tropical", and I added Wink of Stella to each fish (sorry you can't see how shiny they are). Then to the inside: I created a "pop up" by folding my cardstock in half and making a slit about 1-3/4" across the fold. Then I scored from each end of the slit to the center of the fold--this allowed me to pop out the "mouth" of my fish. I covered him in Peekaboo Peach Designer Series Paper; his tail is cut from a retired flower punch (but could easily be from a heart punch) and his fins are the retired Scallop Circle punch. On the back of the card, across the "mouth" I added a stamped banner, glued to either side of his mouth. Seaweed was added along the bottom of the "ocean" and I stamped and cut some little shells for the ocean floor. This piece was mounted to little scalloped strips of Peekaboo Peach, and then adhered to the inside of my card. But I had to have a treat to go with my cute card... The new Clear Tiny Treat Boxes were perfect! They are 2" cubes, clear, and such fun to play with. I cut 1-15/16" x 8-1/2" strips of the Peekaboo Peach DSP and scored them at just under the 2" mark every 2"; this allowed me to insert the paper INSIDE the treat box. I wrapped them with ribbon and added little tags. These were cut with the Lots of Labels Framelits and decorated with Swirly Scribbles "seaweed" and cut out fish. And what was inside? Well fish and and worms, of course: I found Swedish Fish and Gummy Worms--what could be more perfect? I loved putting this set together, and expect my grandsons will enjoy it all when it arrives this week. What do you think? All items can be purchased here.

Hello again, I was so tempted by the 3D challenge over at the Global Design Project this week, that I have just managed to complete & squeeze in another project. I also used the colours from the new Color INKspiration Challenge #02 (there is more detail on Color INKspiration down below):- This little project was inspired by a pop up pot card die from Karen Burniston. I thought that I could create something similiar using the SU Home Sweet Home dies. I did manage to create a pop up pot, which I filled with flowers & foliage, then layered onto a circular doily shape. The pot can be "flattened" for transport. There were lots of construction issues I had to overcome, the first being that the Home Sweet Home die creates a rectangular house, not a square one. I solved this by folding my cardstock in two & layering the fold line on a score line in the die to create one piece with two house fronts. I repeated this to make the remaining two panels. The lattice grid inside the house which supports all the foliage was trimmed down from several pieces of house fronts & then locked together inside the top of the pot (see bottom left picture). The pot is held to the base by two tabs that I cut into the white base piece & then attached up inside the pot with strong tape (top right picture). If you have ever made a pop up before, you may have discovered that is doesn't sit flat, that is because you might have a folded piece of cardstock inside another piece of folded cardstock, which causes buckling. To get everything sitting flat, you should only have one folded layer, then any other layers need to be split, so they butt together when the project is open (you can see the splits in the scallop & mint circles in the top right picture). I had a lot of fun & a great sense of satisfaction working out how to create this project, but I definitely don't need to make another one anytime soon, lol. Thank you to everyone at GDP for inspiring me to create another 3D project. You can find all the DT & gallery projects by clicking on the icon below:- Here are the challenge colours for the Color INKspiration challenge:- This is a new challenge that is run on Facebook, so you don't need to have a blog to join in the fun! The very talented Bronwyn Eastley is the creator of this new challenge & you can find out more about Challenge #02 on her blog here. I must say I was VERY challenged with these colours - I love Soft Sky & Mint Macaron, but Garden Green & Wisteria Wonder don't even get a mention on my "go to" list. I love the outcome of these colours, with the blues & greens mingling in the foliage with nice crisp white flowers. Thanks to both Teams for your fun challenges & thanks for stopping by! :) PS You can see my first #GDP071 entry here. Project Components All Stampin' Up! (some retired)

Hi Stamper! So, if you follow our Instagram (Jomina.Creations) you probably saw this really cute retro trailer made with the Curvy Keepsake Thinlits (Holiday Catalogue pg. 11) and wondered how to make it. We've decided to post the instructions here and then post a video tutorial later on. We hope you love this project and hope to see your CASE (copy and share everything) of this project! Make sure to hashtag #jominacreations 1. Using the Curvy Keepsake Thinlits (item #135853) cut two of the box thinlit in Whisper White (two makes one complete box) 2. Cut two of the curvy keepsake boxes in Costal Cabana 3. Cut the Coastal Cabana at the scored lines (created by the thinlit) away from the "box base" 4. Cut the Coastal Cabana at 1 1/4" 5. Glue Whisper White Box Together at square base. 6. Glue the Coastal Cabana pieces to the Whisper White box using either Fast Fuse Adhesive (item #129026) or Sticky Strip (item #104294) 7. Using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool (item #122334) score the box every 1/4" 8. Cut Silver Foil Paper (item #132178) in 1/8" strips and glue onto all four sides of the box. Cut to length. 9. Cut Silver Foil Paper in dimensions pictured above. 10. Cut Whisper White paper in dimensions pictured above. 11. Glue pieces together to create a door and window. 12. Glue door and window onto box using Fast Fuse or Sticky Strip. 13. Punch three, 3/4" circles and one, 1/2" in Basic Black paper. 14. Punch five, 1/2" circles in Whisper White paper. 15. Glue the three of the 1/2" Whisper White circles onto three, 3/4" Basic Black circles. Draw a dot with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker (item #100082) in the middle of the Whisper White Circles. These are three tires. 16. Dimensional one tire onto the window and one on each side of the trailer. 17. Glue the coastal cabana piece of the curvy keepsake (keep me piece) onto the bottom of the trailer, to create a "hitch". 18. Roll a piece of Basic Black paper and use a glue dot to attach to 1/2" Basic Black circle, this will create a stand. Place into slot. 19. Roll a piece of Whisper White 3/4" thick and glue a 1/2" Whisper White circle to each end. Glue this tube dot onto the "hitch." This completes the project. If we've missed anything, comment below and we'll answer as soon as possible. Hope you love this Retro Trailer Curvy Keepsake Box as much as we loved creating it! Make sure to CASE this project and hashtag it #jominacreations or tag us in the photo! We would love to see your version of this project!
