Hi Welcome to Week 2 at CASE-ing the Catty. I hope you will find time to join us this week as we explore the Memory Keeping section of the catalogue. CASE - The acronym stands for COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING. The latest Stampin' Up! ® Catalogue certainly encourages crafters to do just that as it is jam packed with amazing, inspirational projects. The idea is to feature a section of the Stampin' Up! ® catalogue each week using the projects in the catty as inspiration. You can directly CASE (Copy and Share Everything) or use a sketch/layout, colour combo, embellishment, just to name a few examples, as a springboard for your own creations. Here's a Badge to paste to your blog: Guidelines Create a new project for the current challenge (no back linking) Mention CTC Challenges in your blog post and link back to the challenge blog so others can join in on the fun. Let us know what project you CASED and make reference to the page of your country's catalogue where you got your inspiration. SUO products (retired or current) may be used in your projects for CTC Challenges. So let's go! My project was CASE-d from page 39 of the catalogue which features a gorgeous kraft page decorated with the Postage Due stamp set, some washi tape and paper doilies. Here's the original: Here's my CASE: I used Crumb Cake card stock for my base card and stamped layer. I stamped the Postage Due stamp using the new In Color of Mossy Meadow ink which is lovely rich deep green, I copied the original by using my Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Blade to create a scalloped edge down the left hand side. I added a strip of Epic Day Washi Tape. My sentiment is from Perfect Pennants, stamped on Very Vanilla in Mossy Meadow and die cut with the matching Banners Framelits. I decorated this with a peek of a Tea Lace Paper Doiley, a banner of Pear Pizzazz DSP and an Ampersand clip from the Essentials Hardware Clips pack. I stamped my envelope too just to bring it all together nicely. :) I hope you like my card and are inspired to play along with us....be sure to visit my online store to browse all these items and more! Cheers Alison xx Materials used: Stamp: Postage Due, Perfect Pennants Ink - Mossy Meadow Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz DSP Accessories - Tea Lace Paper Doiley, Essentials Hardware Clips Tools - Big Shot, Banners Framelits, Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Blade, Stampin' Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Here is a fold that I haven't done in a LONG time. It's a diagonal cut fold. You take a full sheet of cardstock and cut it in half, diagonally making 2 cards with the same cut. I used the FREE SAB DSP, Daffodil Afternoon, which was perfect for this card fold! Along with the coordinating Daffodil Daydream Bundle. Measurements: Basic Black: full sheet cut in half DIAGONALLY, 2 3/4" x 4" Very Vanilla: 4" x 5 1/4", 2" x 3 1/4", scrap Daffodil Afternoon DSP: 2 prints @ 4" x 5 1/4" cut diagonally (you will only need 1/2 of each) the other half will make another card. To Make This Card: Cut full sheet of cardstock in half Diagonally. You can fold by either folding points into place an creasing with a bone folder, or you can place into a paper trimmer or score board and score the lines at 4 1/4" and 5 1/2" anc then creasing with bone folder. Attach DSP to each diagonal fold. It will have a 1/16" -1/8" border. Note: be aware of any directional patterns! With these daffodils, the matching card will have the DSP pieces switched so the daffodils can remain upright. Cut Stitched Scalloped Rectangle from the 3rd largest Color and Contour dies. Attach the cut Very Vanilla piece on top. Stamp single "daffodil" onto scrap of Vanilla. Color in with Blends as shown. Cut out with corresponding die. Attach to rectangle with Dimensionals. Now, attach this rectangle to one diagonal piece. i.e. HALF of the rectangle. Note: this will not go from corner to corner of the rectangle. I don't know why... Attach Vanilla piece inside card. FInish as desired. Finish outside with bow of Bumblebee Ribbon and scattered InColor Bumblee Dots. It will turn red when you have voted. The card I'm featuring today is an easel card made with the awesome Earthen Textures Dies and the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. The above picture is the view when it is taken out of the envelope. The below pictures show it in its easel form. The card base is a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Night of Navy cardstock scored at 5 1/2" and 2 3/4". The 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White is embossed with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder. Below are all the pieces I cut using the Earthen Textures Dies and the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. Boho Blue was used for the large palm, the sticks, and the smaller palm. Another palm and stick were cut from Night of Navy. Distressed Gold Specialty paper was used for the leaves and pod and punched with the Bough punch. Below are closeups of each vase. The thank you from Go to Greetings was stamped on Basic White in Night of Navy and cut with a die from the Something Fancy Dies set. The bordering base was cut with a die from the same set out of Boho Blue cardstock. This was mounted on dimensionals. I decided to see how the card front would look in a 4" x 6" frame. Below is the results and I love it! What do you think? Click on the box below to download your free tutorial. To duplicate this card, I have links to all the supplies I used below. The lovely Leonie has alerted me that this months Scrapbooking Memories is hitting the mailboxes and I have a heritage layout in there. This is my Gran when she was a young lady visiting Scotland. I love this photo, it is so old world elegant if that makes sense? This layout was done in my pre Stampin' Up! days. The papers are K and Co Hannah range, and the stamps are by Technique Tuesday and Carolees. The chipboard is from a 'Grandmother' word by Scrap FX, but I just cut the mother bit off as we always called her 'Gran'....

Hello and welcome to Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for May! We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all over the world sharing our love of stamping. We are all part of Kylie Bertucci’s training group where we are having a great time learning and growing our Stampin’ Up!® businesses. If this is the first time you are visiting my blog, welcome! My name is Anne Marie Hile and I live in the United States. I’m so glad you stopped by today! Today, I’m SO excited to share a little sneak peek of some new products that will be available in the upcoming 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog starting June 3rd. Demonstrators were able to order some of these products last week and I couldn’t wait to play with them. This card Features the new In Good Taste Suite Collection, which is already one of my favorites! I’ve listed all of the supplies used on my card along with (imperial) measurements below. Color Combo: Crumb Cake Early Espresso Petal Pink Whisper White This gorgeous suite features the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set and coordinating Tasteful Labels Dies. The stamp set has a beautiful font and some versatile images, like the little feather that I used on my card. The dies contain 10 different labels that work perfectly with the sentiments in this set and so many other stamp sets, too. The In Good Taste Designer Series Paper is a larger pack of DSP containing 24 sheets of photographic images and visual textures that really add a lot of extra detail to your projects. Also in this suite are the In Good Taste Elements which are pressed wood accents in 4 different shapes, including the leafy branches I used on my card. So pretty, right? I also used some of the Petal Pink Striped Organdy Ribbon and some pearls for extra detail. Sponging the edges of the DSP and the Petal Pink Cardstock also added some extra detail. The feather image was "fussy-cut” and it’s tough to see in the photo but I added some sparkly detail using the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. Card Measurements and Details: Crumb Cake Card Base - 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4” Early Espresso Cardstock - 5-1/4” x 4” In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (pink pattern) - 5-1/8” x 3-7/8”, sponge edges with Crumb Cake ink In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (wood pattern) - scrap to die cut using the Tasteful labels Dies Petal Pink Cardstock - scrap to stamp sentiment in Early Espresso ink, die cut using Tasteful Labels Dies and sponge Crumb Cake ink around the edges Whisper White Cardstock - scrap to stamp feather image in Crumb Cake ink and "fussy-cut" using Paper Snips In Good Taste Elements - two of the leafy branch elements Petal Pink Striped Organdy Ribbon - wrap around DSP layer and then tie a bow and adhere to card front using a Mini Glue Dot Pearl Basic Jewels - add three pearls to card front Whisper White Cardstock (inside card) - 5-1/4” x 4” In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (pink pattern, inside card) - 1” x 4” Finally, a look at the inside of the card using a little strip of that beautiful textured paper and a stamped feather image. Hello there! How are you this morning? I hope you're well, there's so much illness going around this winter - seems like everyone is really suffering. I hope you are having a good day. I've been feeling really creative lately and have been really enjoying playing some different challenges. I have two posts today so if you are looking for the Paper Sweeties new releases please scroll down. They are adorable, and you won't want to miss them! Today I'm playing along with the Stampin Royalty Sketch Challenge #41. I saw this inspiration photo and just had to play. I was immediately struck by the banners with the hearts and all the pretty details in the photo. I decided to let little doves carry my banners - I left the twine dangling from their mouths. The frame die represents the headboard, and the graph paper that I anchored everything on has vertical lines like the headboard.. Another bonus is that I got to ink up a new set of stamps that I hadn't used before. This is such a great picture with lots of inspiration - the newsprint, polka dots, the quilt, and so many pretty colors, cream, pink, ivory, turquoise. I hope you find some time to play with this one! Here's a closeup of the banners. The birds are a Martha Stewart paper punch. I inked up the edges to bring out the turquoise a bit more - like the girl's sweater in the photo. I hope you like it - I think it looked so romantic I had to make it into an anniversary card.
