There are a number of options when designing a seminar. You can use this resource to conduct a 2 ring seminar or a 3 ring seminar. HOW TO USE THIS RESOURCE: You can use pages 3-6 to set up for your seminar. I like to print copies of the Inner Circle, Middle Circle, and Outer circle sheets and place them in folders that I put out on student desks that I set up. I only need to make these folders once and can use them again and again! Pages 3-4: Inner Circle Instructions Page 5: Middle Circle Instructions Page 6: Outer Circle Instructions Pages 7-10 are visual examples of how I set up the desks in the circles in my classroom with an explanation of each role. It has a sample page of questions from The Alchemist, which my sophomores study each spring, to demonstrate how to complete it. The ready-to-print can be printed straight away as long as students are able to write in the questions by hand, otherwise, you can source the questions from them in the days before the seminar and plug them into the editable copy. NEW! I've added a "Seminar Adjudication" worksheet to both files. This is great for kids who were unexpectedly absent during seminar prep and can't participate by speaking during the seminar.
