Hello there, I am delighted to be continuing working with Spellbinders this year as part of the Clubs Influencer Program. I will once again be working with the Large Die of the Month Club Kit. Although there are lots of other kits available and some new ones this year too, like the stitching club and the 3D embossing folder club, I really like the large die club and I am excited to continue with it. PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. This month's Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Club Kit is called Club Blooms and you can see why! The kit is filled with gorgeous flowers and foliage that can be used in so many different ways. I started off by die cutting the flowers from the kit (a lot of these can be layered up for different looks) from Spellbinders Cardstock in blues, purples and pink. The flower centres use Spellbinders Chamomile and Beeswax Cardstock. I then cut the foliage using Spellbinders Peridot and Rainforest Cardstock. I took a panel of cardstock and added horizontal scored lines on to it (not really that visible in the photos but do add a slight extra touch in real life) and then started arranging the flowers and foliage on top, adhering with Bearly Art Glue. The panel was then adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with thin foam tape. I took the sentiment from the Spellbinders Be Bold Glimmer Sentiments Hot Foil Plate & Die Set and foiled it on to white cardstock using Spellbinders Black Foil with the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System. I then die cut it out with the coordinating die and and adhered it to the card with more thin foam tape and Bearly Art Glue. To finish off, I added yellow enamel dots to the centres of the flowers. Hello there and happy Sunday to you! Today I have a card to share using the Spellbinders August 2023 Large Die of the Month Club Kit which releases today (if you are not already a kit subscriber). It is called "Blooming Pomegranate" and you can see why! PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. I started off by die cutting the branch piece from the the Spellbinders August 2023 Large Die of the Month Club Kit from Spellbinders Rainforest Cardstock twice. They were adhered together, for added dimension and stability, before adhering onto a 4" x 5.5" sized white card base with Bearly Art Glue. I cut the full pomegranate from Spellbinders Wild Berry Cardstock. I added ink blending to the bottom of the top piece using Altenew Rose Petal Crisp Dye Inks (Puffy Heart & Purple Wine) and for the back piece, I went direct to paper to add Purple Wine to it to make it darker. They were adhered together and then added to the card with thin foam tape. The open pomegranate is cut from Spellbinders Bearly Peach Cardstock for the back piece, Spellbinders Wild Berry with Purple Wine Ink on top for the middle layer, and Spellbinders Wild Berry Cardstock for the top layer. I cut the flowers from Spellbinders Wild Berry, Dahlia and Bearly Peach Cardstock. The Wild Berry layers were ink blended with a little of the inks on top before adhering together and then adhered to the card. The little flowers were cut from Spellbinders Bearly Peach Cardstock and adhered on top. I die cut the sentiment from Spellbinders Onyx Cardstock for the top layer and Spellbinders Snowdrift Cardstock for the back layer. They were adhered together with Bearly Art Glue and then added to the card using thin foam tape. To finish off, I embellished with Spellbinders Fashion Rouge Color Essentials Pearl Dots, adding them to the centres of the small flowers. To buy the kit - if you are a current subscriber to the Large Die of the Month Club Kit (or any kit), you do not need to do anything. You will be charged as normal on the 5th of the month and your kit will be shipped to you. If you are a new subscriber, you can purchase the kit from the 6th - 27th of July 2023. Members can cancel their membership at any time. The flowers and pomegranates do look a lot brighter in colour in the photos than they do in real-life. They are much more of a purple/pink tone in person. Having said that, how they look in the photos are probably a more realistic colour for them! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it. I hope you have a wonderful day and great rest of the weekend!

I saw a card made with the Spellbinders January 2023 Club Blooms die and loved it. However, it was out of stock when I went to purchase it so I placed myself on the wait list, but I didn't think I would be able to get it because usually the monthly kits aren't restocked. To my happy surprise this one was and I purchased it right away. I love the etched details on the die cuts.I began by cutting the flower and leaves from colored cardstock and then used Copic Markers to add shading. I decided

Hello there, I hope you are well. Today I have a card to share using the Spellbinders August 2024 Large Die of the Month Club Kit called "Colorful Expressions Blooms". I apologise for the delay in sharing it this month but I haven't been well. The kit consists of flowers (some are layered, some are one layer) and foliage that you can mix and match to create a bouquet. PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. I started off my card by die cutting the flowers in the Spellbinders August Large Die of the Month Club Kit from Spellbinders Pink Sand and Hero Arts Ultra Pink Cardstock. I cut the leaves and stems from Spellbinders Peridot Cardstock. I added ink blending to the pieces with Altenew Inks - Cherry Blossom Inks for the flowers and Green Valley Inks for the leaves and stems. I assembled the flowers first using Bearly Art Glue. I then took a black US A2 sized card base and adhered the leaves on top using Bearly Art Glue. The flowers were adhered using thin foam tape. I pressed the Spellbinders Always and Forever Sentiments Strips Press Plate & Die Set onto Spellbinders Porcelain BetterPress Cotton Card using the Spellbinders BetterPress Letterpress System and BetterPress Black Ink. It was cut into a strip and adhered to the card with more thin foam tape. To finish off, I embellished with Spellbinders Berry Color Essentials Gems. I'm pleased to be able to share my cards using supplies from some of the new Spellbinders January Club Kits! First up, the Large Dies of the Month: Club Blooms. This is a huge set of 23 beautiful flowers and leaves! I went with soft colors for spring on this one. I have a feeling that this new floral set of dies will become just as popular as the Be Bold Blooms from a last year. supplies: cream, yellow, pinks and greens cardstock, Spellbinders Large Die of the Month: Club Blooms, Embossing Folder of the Month: Stylized Trellis, and sentiment from Log Cabin and Flower Mini Quilts I layered the larger flowers and separated them with adhesive foam for some dimension. I cut 3 layers of my sentiment. The new embossing folder for January, Stylized Trellis, is a good basic that will be useful for lots of occasions. Next is a card that showcases the Small Die of the Month: Sentimental Ampersand. I paired it again with a background made from the Embossing Folder of the Month: Stylized Trellis. supplies: black cardstock, dps from Doodlebugs My Happy Place pad, Sentimental Ampersand dies and Stylized Trellis embossing folder This paper pad I chose had a darling little floral print on black, so I cut the ampersand from that and centered it on my embossed black panel. Then I used more papers from the same pad to cut out my sentiments, flowers, and leaves. The die set includes 2 more sets of sentiments with dies to match and an extra piece to layer onto the ampersand which I didn't use this time. This year there will be 2 Clubs for embossing folders, 1 a "regular" 2D folder, which you've seen on both cards above, and a new club for 3D folders! Here's a card using the January 3D embossing folder of the month: Floral Archway. This is a large folder with gorgeous flowers around the edges of a simple arch, where you can add your sentiment. supplies: Cream and green cardstock, Floral Archway 3D folder, Forest Glades ink, sentiment from Mix & Match Holiday Greetings dies After cutting a cream panel a bit smaller than an A2 size, I embossed it, then gently rubbed on some green ink. Then I found a green cardstock to match and cut out my sentiment, then matted the embossed panel. These 3D folders have so much gorgeous detail that you don't need to do much more than let the design shine all by itself! Next I went in a slightly different direction, covering up the arch with the largest flower, cut and embossed separately. supplies: pool, foiled gold, and whitewash aqua cardstock, Floral Archway 3D embossing folder, gold foiled sentiment I embossed first on an old piece of whitewash cardstock, then sanded off the details to appear in aqua. Next I chose one of the flowers in the folder and embossed it on a scrap of white-core pool cardstock, and cut it out by hand, also sanding it lightly to bring out the details. These were layered, matted in gold foil cardstock and pool, then the gold-foiled sentiment was added. You can look HERE for information on Spellbinders Clubs. Each is available only until January 28. If you click on my links under each card, you can see the details of each product. I'll be back in a few days with some more kits; thanks so much for stopping by today
I’m back with two more Club Blooms birthday cards!
Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Spellbinders today to celebrate the January 2023 Clubs with a fun blog hop. There were lots of new club kits launched this month including the Stitching Club and the 3D Embossing Folder Club. Today I am sharing another card using the Large Die of the Month Club. You can see my first card using the kit here. PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. Sadly, the January 2023 Large Die of the Month Club Kit has sold out on the US website but there are still lots of other kits available to purchase this month. Hopefully you are still happy to see some more inspiration using the kit though anyway! I started off by die cutting one of the shape dies from the Spellbinders Geo Foliage Hot Foil Plate & Die Set as a base for my flowers. I cut two from white cardstock, layered them up one on top of another and adhered to a US A2 sized white card base. I then die cut the flowers and leaves from the Spellbinders January 2023 Large Die of the Month Club Kit. I cut the flowers from Spellbinders Waterfall, Teal Topaz and Blue Spruce Cardstock. The flower centres were cut from Spellbinders Snowdrift Cardstock. The leaves were cut from Spellbinders Silver Fox Cardstock and Spellbinders Vellum Sheets. The flowers were adhered to the card using Bearly Art Glue. I started with the three main flowers and then popped the leaves behind. I took the sentiment from Spellbinders Yana's Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set and foiled it on to white cardstock using Spellbinders Black Glimmer Hot Foil Roll. It was die cut out and adhered to the card with thin foam tape. To finish off, I embellished with Spellbinders Onyx Color Essentials Gems. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the project. Affiliate links are used on some products. This means that if you make a purchase after clicking on my link, I receive a small commission with no extra cost to you. I truly appreciate your support when using these links. Please click on the logo below the product to shop at your favourite store. All products were personally purchased except those from Clearly Besotted, Hero Arts or those marked with an asterisk (*) which were kindly sent to me to use. You can read my full disclosure here. BLOG HOP: For the hop, you should have arrived here from Joy Wilson. Next on the hop is Hussena Calcuttawala. If you get lost along the way, or want to start the hop from the beginning, please head over to the Spellbinders blog. GIVEAWAY: To celebrate this release, Spellbinders are giving away a $25 gift certificate to 3 lucky blog readers – selected from the comments on the blog. The Spellbinders Club Kits are available now through May 27! You are going to love this tropical theme that runs throughout all the kits! For my first card I mixed the Small Dies of the Month: Tropical Friends, with the 3D embossing folder: Scattered Tropics, and used bright colors of cardstock. supplies: white, black, and bright colors of cardstock, Tropical Friends Small Dies of the Month, Scattered Tropics 3D embossing folder, All You Need Sentiments glimmer plate and die, gold glimmer hot foil Aren't these new goodies fabulous?! I had such a good time playing with them. With this embossing folder, it's easy to build your own tropical scene! Here's another card using it, along with a few of the Large Dies of the Month, called Grand Tropical Flamingos. supplies: aquas, dark teal, and green cardstock, Scattered Tropics 3D embossing folder, rubbed with a teal and a green ink, leaves and flowers from Grand Tropical Flamingos, enamel dots, Hello dies from Petite Blooms and Sentiments The Large Dies of the Month: Grand Tropical Flamingos don't disappoint either! I used another part of the set and paired them with the Stencils of the Month: Tropical Spray. supplies: white, black, 2 shades of pink cardstock, Grand Tropical Flamingos dies, Wonderful Script Sentiments die, Tropical Spray stencils, 2 middle shades of Seashore inks, adhesive foam to pop up flamingos I googled flamingos to see how they're colored. They get this color because they eat shrimp! AND their knees are a brighter color than the rest of their legs! I also found out also that a group of them is called a flamboyance! Of course it is! For that reason, I chose my "Hello beautiful" sentiment for this card. The stencil this month has a very pleasing design to me, and though it's called "spray", and I took it to be water, I think it could look like leaves, too, and be very useful in all kinds of situations! Here's another card that uses most of the rest of the large dies for this month (you'll see a leaf and flower from the 2nd card above). I put them against the Embossing Folder: Latticework. supplies: desert storm, white, yellow, pinks, and teals cardstock, Latticework embossing folder, swiped with white pigment ink, leaves and flowers from Grand Tropical Flamingos, sentiment from Wendy Vecchi Vintage Florals dies The Large Dies have a nice selection of tropical leaves, plus this large flower and the small one. Next up is are the Stitching Dies: Stitched Pineapple. supplies: white, black, kraft, and golden yellow cardstock, Stitched Pineapple stitching dies, golden yellow embroidery floss, 3 strands, Scattered Tropics 3D embossing folder I made my own sentiment because the pineapple is a symbol of hospitality. My next card features the Glimmer Plates: Tropical Bloom, and one of the TWO bonus items in the Caboodle this month, Tropical Bloom stencils to color it with! supplies: lavendar and purple glitter cardstock, Tropical Bloom glimmer plates (includes sentiment), fuchsia flower glimmer hot foil, Caboodle Tropical Blooms stencils, 2 shades of purple and a green ink, blending brushes I received some fuchsia flower glimmer foil, a new color to me, so I decided on a monochromatic design for this card. After foiling and stenciling my panel, I trimmed it so that I could add some extra twinkle with a bit of glitter cardstock on the left and top of my card. There's a 2nd sentiment in the glimmer set: Thinking of You, and cutting dies to match both sentiments. My last card features the Let's Get Together stamp set and matching dies. supplies: white cardstock, Let's Get Together stamp and die set, markers to color, Latticework embossing folder, tickled pink and saltwater taffy distress inks, adhesive foam This set also has 3 more sentiments and a smaller image to color, with dies to cut them out. Hello all! I can't believe it is already 2024! My November and December have been filled with many travels (first a trip to Birmingham, England in November for a craft show, a weekend trip to Vienna, Austria at the beginning of December, and finally a Christmas trip with my Mom to Naples, Italy). Thus I
Hello! Today, I am sharing a friendship card created with products in the Spellbinders Anemone Blooms Collection designed by Yana Smakula. Dry Emboss A2-size Chamomile cardstock with the Intertwined Lattice folder. This was a club kit offering for August 2022 and is now available for individual sale. Attach dry-embossed panel to card base. Cut Anemones
Hello there, I hope you are well. Today I have a card to share using new products from Spellbinders, which are out today. The new Spotlight Frames and Florals Collection by Lisa Horton is full of what I think are basic products that can be used for lots of card designs. I always like those kinds of products! PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. I started off my card by die cutting the Spellbinders Layered Anemone Etched Dies from white cardstock. I then added ink blending to them using Distress Inks and Ink Blending Brushes. I used Wilted Violet for the petals, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey for the flower centres, and Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the stems and leaves. I adhered the flowers together using Bearly Art Glue. I then die cut one of the Spellbinders Stitched Edge Circle Backgrounds Etched Dies (there are a few ways to use these - with a stitched frame or without or cut as an aperture) twice from white cardstock. I adhered them both together (for some dimension) and then adhered it onto a US A2 sized white card base. I adhered the stems and leaves on top using Bearly Art Glue and then the flower heads using thin foam tape. I took the sentiment from the Spellbinders Always You Timeless Sentiments Press Plate set and hot foiled it onto white cardstock using Spellbinders Black Foil and the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System. I fussy cut it out using scissors and then adhered it to the card using more thin foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Spellbinders Silver Mix Color Essentials Gems. I will be sharing more cards using these collections soon, but in the mean-time, thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it. Wishing you a wonderful day!
