Hello there, I hope you are well. Today I have a card to share using new products from Spellbinders, which are out today. The new Spotlight Frames and Florals Collection by Lisa Horton is full of what I think are basic products that can be used for lots of card designs. I always like those kinds of products! PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. I started off my card by die cutting the Spellbinders Layered Anemone Etched Dies from white cardstock. I then added ink blending to them using Distress Inks and Ink Blending Brushes. I used Wilted Violet for the petals, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey for the flower centres, and Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the stems and leaves. I adhered the flowers together using Bearly Art Glue. I then die cut one of the Spellbinders Stitched Edge Circle Backgrounds Etched Dies (there are a few ways to use these - with a stitched frame or without or cut as an aperture) twice from white cardstock. I adhered them both together (for some dimension) and then adhered it onto a US A2 sized white card base. I adhered the stems and leaves on top using Bearly Art Glue and then the flower heads using thin foam tape. I took the sentiment from the Spellbinders Always You Timeless Sentiments Press Plate set and hot foiled it onto white cardstock using Spellbinders Black Foil and the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System. I fussy cut it out using scissors and then adhered it to the card using more thin foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Spellbinders Silver Mix Color Essentials Gems. Hi everyone! It's no secret I love all things floral. Paper, stamps and dies -I love them all! My latest obsession is with the new flower die set from Spellbinders called Be Bold Blooms! I spent a few hours one day cutting all the pieces from many colors to have on the ready. Here are a few of the cards I made with them. First up are cards using gorgeous peachy colors for the blooms and a blue toned green for the stems and leaves. For this set I used silver micro beads in the centers. Cardstock used: Spellbinders Barely Peach, SU! Petal Pink, Concord and 9th Grapefruit Concord and 9th Evergreen and Clover Gina K Designs Master Layouts 7 dies (slimline) Pinkfresh Studio Stitched Scalloped Squares Next up is a set I made using aqua and yellow colors and traditional grass green tones for the stems and leaves. I can't decide which I love more -lol! Spellbinders cardstock: Waterfall, Teal Topaz, Blue Spruce, Fern Pinkfresh Studio Stitched Scalloped Circles Other cardstock: New Leaf (PTI); Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry (SU!) Products used on these cards: These are affiliate links which means that if you shop with these, I will receive a small commission at no cost to you. If I've inspired you in some way I appreciate your support. Here are close up pics of each card Here is how I keep my Be Bold Blooms die cuts to have them at the ready. I have a ton of these plastic containers from back in the day when I kept my buttons in them and the compartments are the perfect size!
Hello friends! I hope your New Year is off to a great start and that you had a wonderful Holiday Season. I had some time to reorganize, prioritize, and even relax. I am super excited for whatever 2024 has in store! I am kicking off the new year with some brand new products from Spellbinders…
Hello there, today I have two projects to share using the new Beautiful Wreaths collection by Suzanne Hue for Spellbinders. There is one main wreath set and then lots of add-on sets that work well for different seasons. PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. The wreaths are great for cards but also for tags too. I thought on this occasion though, that I would make an ornament/home decor piece, but it would work as a tag too! I started off the card using the Spellbinders Garden Wreath Add-Ons Etched Dies. I die cut the leaf branches from Spellbinders Rainforest Cardstock, as well as the flower branches. I cut the flowers for the branch pieces from white cardstock. I then cut the large flower from Spellbinders Wild Berry Cardstock, the flower centre pieces from Spellbinders Chamomile Cardstock and the smaller flowers from Spellbinders Pink Sand Cardstock. I die cut the Spellbinders Tweet Cardinal Etched Dies with the same colours. I took a Spellbinders Everlasting Circles Etched Die and placed it on top of a US A2 sized white card base. Using a pencil, I drew around the inside lightly to create a guide as to where to place the wreath branches. I adhered the leaf layers with Bearly Art Glue, followed by the flower ones (only adhered at the bottom to add some movement/dimension to the wreath). The large flower and bird were adhered using thin foam tape, the smaller flowers with Bearly Art Glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Spellbinders Lots of Wishing You Sentiments Stamp Set onto black cardstock using Spellbinders Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied Spellbinders White Embossing Powder and heat set before cutting into a strip. It was adhered to the card with thin foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Spellbinders Silver Mix Color Essentials Gems. For the ornament, I first die cut the branches from the Spellbinders Build-A-Wreath Etched Dies from Hero Arts Sand Cardstock and Spellbinders Latte Cardstock. I added ink blending to the lighter branches with Altenew Coffee Break Crisp Dye Inks and then adhered them into a circle shape. I die cut a Spellbinders Everlasting Circles Etched Die from acetate and adhered the wreath on top. I die cut the flower petals from Spellbinders Sunkissed Cardstock and added ink blending to them using Altenew Fall Harvest Crisp Dye Ink. I adhered them together and die cut the centres from Spellbinders Timber Cardstock and adhered them on top. I die cut the branches from Spellbinders Rainforest Cardstock and added ink blending to those too, with Altenew Green Valley Crisp Dye Inks. I die cut the mushrooms from Spellbinders Autumn Wonder Etched Dies from Spellbinders Wild Berry and Alabaster Cardstock. I added ink blending to those as well (Altenew Coffee Break and Rose Petal Crisp Dye Inks) and assembled the pieces with Bearly Art Glue. The elements were adhered to the acetate piece with a combination of Bearly Art Glue and thin foam tape. To finish off, I added Spellbinders Opal Mix Color Essentials Gems. I punched a hole in top of the piece and tied twine through it. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the projects. Affiliate links are used on some products. This means that if you make a purchase after clicking on my link, I receive a small commission with no extra cost to you. I truly appreciate your support when using these links. Please click on the logo below the product to shop at your favourite store. All products were personally purchased except those from Clearly Besotted, Hero Arts or those marked with an asterisk (*) which were kindly sent to me to use. You can read my full disclosure here. I love that these sets have so many possibilities and work with lots of other sets too. In the photos of the ornament, you can see paper dust on the acetate. You cannot see them in real-life but I will be wiping the back with a Swiffer cloth again before hanging it up! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really appreciate it. I hope you Have a wonderful day!
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog using the Tunnel Scapes collection. This is such a fun collection that focuses on creating scenes with dimension, kind of like mini dioramas but more on the 2D side, rather than the 3D side. These cards can get pretty dimensional if adding foam tape in between all the tunnel layers, but they would still look great without the foam tape, or with less layers if you didn’t want them to be so bulky. I used thin foam tape for mine so that I still got the dimension but with slightly less bulk. UNDERWATER TURTLE For my first card, I created an underwater scene. I love the shape of these tunnel pieces, they are perfect for water, but can also be used with other designs too, which I will share later. For this card, I paired the Underwater Tunnel Scapes Etched Dies with Underwater Marine Life Etched Dies. To make this card: Die cut the largest size of tunnel from the Underwater Tunnel Etched Dies set on a 4.25” x 5.5” panel of white cardstock. Die cut the middle-size tunnel die on a 4.25” x 5.5” panel of Island Blue Cardstock. Die cut the small size tunnel die on a 4.25” x 5.5” panel of Splash Cardstock. Cut a panel of Cosmic Sky Cardstock to 4.25” x 5.5”. Adhere the layers together (one on top of another) using thin foam tape to get the tunnel look. Adhere the pieces to an A2-sized white card base with tape runner adhesive. Die-cut seaweed from Underwater Tunnel using Peridot and Rainforest Using a Blending Brush, add ink blending using green ink to the bottom of the seaweed. Die cut turtle from Underwater Marine Life using Waterfall, Teal Topaz, and Lagoon Using a Blending Brush, add ink blending to the body and legs with teal ink. Adhere turtle together using Bearly Art Glue. Pop seaweed pieces behind the first white layer on the card and adhere in place using Bearly Art Glue. Adhere turtle using foam squares. Stamp sentiment from Typewriter Adventures Sentiments onto Onyx Cardstock using Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. Apply White Embossing Powder and heat set. Cut into a strip. Adhere to card using foam squares. To finish, embellish with Dimensional Clear Enamel Dots and add an Onyx Color Essentials Gem to the turtle’s eye. TIP: Whilst I am using the negative pieces of the tunnel dies for my cards today, keep the positive pieces to use on other cards, they are great for backgrounds! PAINTED SMILES My next card uses the Rainbow Slice Tunnel Etched Dies. This is another fun set that can be used in lots of different ways. I combined it with the Artful Brush Etched Dies, so it looks like the brush is painting the tunnel shape. To make this card: Die cut the largest size of tunnel from Rainbow Slice on a 4.25” x 5.5” panel of white cardstock. Die cut the next size down tunnel die on a 4.25” x 5.5” panel of Purple Mist Cardstock. Die cut the next size down tunnel die on a 4.25” x 5.5” panel of Lilac Blossom Cardstock. Cut a panel of Royal Amethyst Cardstock to 4.25” x 5.5”. Adhere the layers together using thin foam tape. There is another tunnel in this set (the smallest size), but I decided to just use the three largest layers for my card today. Experiment with different layers, depending on your design! Adhere the pieces to an A2-sized white card base with tape runner adhesive. Die cut Artful Brush using Dune Cardstock, as well as Brushed Silver for the metal piece. Cut the bristles three times from Alabaster Cardstock. Using Blending Brushes, add ink around the edges of the handle with brown ink and add purple ink to the tips of the bristles. Adhere paint brush together using Bearly Art Glue and then adhere to card using thin foam tape. Cut off the top part of the brush in line with the top of the card using Pro Shears. Die cut leaves and foliage from Rainbow Slice using Peridot and Rainforest Die cut flowers from Rainbow Slice using Snowdrift, Lilac Blossom and Royal Amethyst Die cut the flower centres from Beeswax Cardstock. Adhere flowers and leaves to card using thin foam tape and Bearly Art Glue. Stamp and heat emboss sentiment from Typewriter Adventures Sentiments onto Onyx Cardstock. Cut into strip and adhere to card with thin foam tape. To finish, embellish with Silver Mix Color Essentials Gems. PERCHED BIRDS For my last project, I wanted to show how you can use the Underwater Tunnel Etched Dies but in a different way and completely change the look of your scene. This time I am combining them with the Perched Birds Etched Dies. To make this card: Die cut the largest size tunnel from the Underwater Tunnel Etched Dies set on a 4.25” x 5.5” panel of white cardstock, at an angle, so that it is hanging off the edge of the panel. Die cut the middle size tunnel on a 4.25” x 5.5” panel of Rainforest Cardstock at the same angle as the first panel. Die cut the same size of tunnel die again but this time on a 4.25” x 5.5” panel of dark green cardstock. Rotate the die before die cutting to the opposite position of the previous layer but keep the die at the same angle as the other two layers. Cut a panel of Onyx Cardstock to 4.25” x 5.5”. Adhere the layers together using thin foam tape. Die-cut branches from Perched Birds from Latte Cardstock. Die cut the leaves from Peridot and Fern Die cut birds from Waterfall, Teal Topaz, Beeswax, and Onyx (for the eyes) Cardstock. Assemble branches by adhering leaves on top using Bearly Art Glue. Pop them behind the layers on the card and adhere using Bearly Art Glue. Adhere birds together using Bearly Art Glue and then adhere to card using thin foam tape. Stamp and heat emboss sentiment from Typewriter Adventures Sentiments onto Onyx Cardstock. Cut into strip and adhere to card with thin foam tape. To finish, embellish with Peridot Color Essentials Gems. These cards really are very fun to make! I love that the sets all work well together, so you can mix and match and create different scenes. I hope you have enjoyed seeing my cards today and I have inspired you to create dimensional scenes using the Tunnel Scapes collection. Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful day! Other supplies Thin foam tape, Mowed Lawn Distress Ink, Altenew Galactic Stream Ink, Wilted Violet Distress Ink, Altenew Mocha Ink, Concord & 9th Evergreen Cardstock.
Hello crafters! It's been a while! I went on a much-needed vacation for 2 weeks and I've just returned and while I did plan to edit this video and some other videos while I was vacationing I'm guilty to admit that I didn't. I've not been on a proper vacation in a very long time
Hello and welcome! I have 3 cards for you today featuring a brand new release from Spellbinders newest release with Simon Hurley's Photosynthesis collection. I made two A2 cards and 1 mini slimline card as you can see above. Supplies: https://ldli.co/e/lmzzk0p All of the vases were die cut from some adhesive backed linen fabric I had in my stash. Each vase has its' own really cool pattern that it embosses when you die cut it along with the coordinating outline die. Because the linen and the pattern are already textures, when you add Distress Ink to them, they look even more textured. I added the ink direct to the vase, but darker around the edges. Below you can see the ink colors I used on each of the vases, on some I combined some of the inks. And below you can see the inked vases, along with the inks, and the package of "Ceramic Vases" from the new release: Here's my first card, the slimline one: For this card I use card stock and patterned paper from Memory Box (all items available are links below or in the supplies link above.) The leaves were cut from 2 different shades of the green card stock pack along with the flowers which were cut from white (for the centers) and reddish and pink card stock from the same red card stock pack. Here's a closer look: The background is a piece of Memory Box Woodgrain white card stock cut toe 3 inches by 5.5 inches. I added a piece of plaid paper from a Memory Box plaid paper pack (also linked below.) Once I added the vase and flowers/leaves to the vase with glue and foam tape, I added the woodgrain panel to the card base. I added the strip of plaid below the woodgrain panel and then added two black strips of cut card stock below the vase. Then I heat embossed several sentiment from the SDS-184 Welcome Sign & Sentiments stamp set released today also by Spellbinders. There's a whole collection of goodies designed by Annie Williams! On this card I used the "I Pick You" cut into a little banner and popped up on foam tape Lastly I added a few clear jewels from Memory Box. Here's one last look: Here's card #2: It was made the same way as the first card, only it's an A2 size, I used different flowers and vase and sentiment. The only additional thing I did was add turquoise and yellow jewels in the embossed patterned of the vase. here's a closer look: I used 2 colors of yellow card stock from a yellow Memory Box card stock pack and some dark gray to cut the stamen die in the center. Here's one last look: And here's my third and final card for today: This is also an A2 card but the background is not the woodgrain paper, but rather just white card stock. I made it all the same using two colors of orange card stock for the flowers and used yellow for centers. Here's a closer look: For this card I put a few light orange and green jewels on the sentiment strip. Here's one last look: I hope you like my cards for today. I really enjoyed making them. I've heard from a few people that they don't like putting the smaller die cuts together, but here's a tip to help you with that. I will cut lots of the dies at one sitting from many colors and put them all in a bowl and then put the bowl by my chair in the living room with a bottle of glue. Then when I watch TV, I multitask and put the dies together. I like keeping my hands busy when I watch TV, mainly because it keeps me from eating and snacking so much at night! So there's a plus right there! Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by. If you'd like to see my supply list with links, just scroll down a little and everything that is available to purchase is listed below. Happy crafting my friends!

Hello again friends! I'm excited to share a few projects today made with the brand new Fresh Picked Collection from Spellbinders (you can check out the rest of the January release here...there is a ton of fun stuff in this release!) This collection is full of fun and kinda funky florals that you can use to fill an entire cardfront or just as a focal point as well as some cute sentiments and a great basic embossing folder. I created three cards using most of the products in the collection, and can't wait to make more! BUTTERCUP SYMPATHY CARD I loved the dainty flowers in the Fresh Picked Buttercups Die Set, so I picked this one up first to work with. I knew I was making a sympathy card, so I chose some muted, but pretty shades of cardstocks to cut all of my flower branches out of - Velvet Rose, Peach Sorbet, and Sage Cardstock. After cutting, I added some shading with coordinating Distress Inks and assembled everything with liquid glue. For the background, I embossed a piece of Barely Peach Cardstock with the new Flowers & Foliage 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base. Then I arranged all of the branches and popped them up on top of the card front with foam adhesive. To finish off the card, I foiled a sentiment from the You Are Everything Sentiments BetterPress Plate Set in gold and added some Gold Mix Gems. ANEMONE THANK YOU CARD Although all of the main die sets in the collection can be used to create full card fronts, you can also take just a stem or two and use it as a focal point on your card. Here I cut two of the floral stems from the Fresh Picked Anemone Die Set out of Rainforest, Purple Mist, Lilac Blossom, Royal Amethyst, and Plum Cardstocks and assembled them with liquid glue. I placed them in the center of the card front for a bold and pretty focal point. To create the background, I blended Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina Distress Ink over two-thirds of a piece of white cardstock and then embossed it with the Geo Screen Embossing Folder. After adhering the anemones to the card with foam adhesive, I popped a sentiment cut out of Mirror Silver Cardstock using the Fresh Picked Sentiments Die Set right on top with more foam adhesive. To finish off the card, I added a few Crystal Mix Gems. DAFFODIL HELLO CARD Lastly, I love daffodils and really love the funky look of the flowers in the Fresh Picked Daffodils Die Set! I cut mine out of Fern, white, Sunkissed, and Persimmon Cardstocks, assembling them with liquid glue. A bold sentiment from the Fresh Picked Sentiments Die Set was cut out of Mirror Gold Cardstock as well. To assemble the card, I embossed a piece of Cosmic Sky Cardstock with the new Columns Embossing Folder before adhering it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner. Then I popped the flowers up on top of the card front and added the bold sentiment in the lower corner. To complete the card, I foiled a secondary greeting in gold using the Mini Sincere Sentiments Glimmer Plate Set, cut it into a small strip, and added it beneath my hi. If you're interested in even more florals, then you'll want to check out the new From The Garden Collection by Wendy Vecchi! Here are peeks at three cards I made using the new Garden Party Stamp Stencil & Die Set, Vintage Florals Die Set, Heartfelt Thanks & Scallops Die Set, and Flowers & Foliage 3D Embossing Folder. You can find additional details for these cards over on the Spellbinders blog! I hope you enjoyed these bold floral card projects and thanks so much for stopping by today. Hello there, today I have two cards to share with you using the Spellbinders Anemone Blooms Collection by Yana Smakula. I shared two projects using the hot foil plates HERE. Today, I am sharing two projects using the dies. PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. The Spellbinders Anemone Blooms Etched Dies are beautiful and can be used in different ways. There is the main die with the outline and also the shadow piece too. I started off the pink card by die cutting the outline die first from Hero Arts Peony Cardstock. I made sure to try and not cut all the way through the cardstock (by not using a shim, which I would usually do) to keep all the inside parts of the flowers inside of the outline (but still cut around the edges of the shape). I then die cut it again from white cardstock but this time cut all the way through. I added ink blending to the pink piece with Distress Inks to give some dimension and colour to the petals. I used Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves with a small ink blending brush. I then adhered the white die cut layer over the top. This is a cheats way of doing die cut inlay. It is not technically inlay, as it is not all one level, but a much quicker way of doing it! I masked off the top edges of a US A2 sized white card base and added more ink blending with the same Distress Inks, focusing the colour at the top of the card and fading to white at the bottom. I cut the Spellbinders Anemone Blooms Etched Dies shadow piece from vellum and adhered the other piece on top. This was then adhered to the card with thin foam tape. I took the 'hello' sentiment from the Spellbinders Wonderful Script Sentiments Etched Dies set and cut the shadow piece from white cardstock and the word itself from Spellbinders Pop-Up Die Cutting Glitter Foam Sheets - Peony Pinks (Glitter Light Pink) and adhered it on top. It was then added to the card. I took the 'friend' from Spellbinders Hello, Friend Sentiments Glimmer Hot Plate and foiled it on to white cardstock with Spellbinders Black Glimmer Hot Foil Roll. It was cut into a strip and added to the card with thin foam tape. To finish off, I added Spellbinders Silver Mix Color Essentials Gems. For the purple card, I made the flower in the same way as the pink one. I cut the Spellbinders Anemones Blooms Etched Dies from Spellbinders Purple Mist Cardstock and added Distress Ink in Wilted Violet and Villainous Purple on top. The white outline was adhered on top and then the whole thing adhered to the vellum shadow piece. I took a panel of Spellbinders Royal Amethyst Cardstock and foiled the sentiment from the Spellbinders Inside Card Glimmer Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate at the bottom using Spellbinders Silver Glimmer Hot Foil Roll. I then ran it through my die cutting machine to emboss above it using the Spellbinders Diamond Plaid Embossing Folder. This was completely inspired by Yana Smakula herself, who does this a lot and I love the result! The panel was adhered to a US A2 sized Purple Amethyst card base and then the anemones added on top with thin foam tape. To finish off, I embellished with Spellbinders Silver Mix Color Essentials Gems. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the projects. Affiliate links are used on some products. Hi card making friends and welcome back. Boy it's been busy around here with all the Spellbinders NEW RELEASES yesterday, and STAMPtember with Simon Says Stamp. It's keeping me on my toes, LOL. I'm often inspired by my sweet friend Therese from Lost in Paper! This time she 'enabled' me to do a little shopping, too! Thanks so much, T! Please find her latest 'same but different' card making session HERE - I had so much fun with these Spellbinders Fresh Picked Anemones... I've said it before: with anemones like these, who needs friends? [just kidding! what would I do without you?] Coming up with my own designs wasn't hard at all - but you know I had to bring some grey to the table, right? SB was very clever to keep all three of the 'sections' of these Anemones together so that three back petals, three front petals, three sets of centers, and three different stems are cut together. I wanted white blooms today, but used a pale grey for the 'inside' back petal to give them dimension. I created an oval 'frame' with SB Essential Stylish Ovals - then quickly debossed it using Altenew's Dotted Starbust Debossing Cover Die before popping it up on my card base. This sentiment is one I had on hand from Waffle Flower Crafts: Hello Friend combo set. A dash of PF gems and my card is complete! This time, I've used blue - yes, blue! Very pale Powder Blue from C&9th to be exact, with a peachy center, and navy stems and leaves! The texture in my cover panel comes from Altenew's Dotted Geo Cover die and the sentiment is a Spellbinders' Betterpress Sentiments of Wonder set. This card measures 4 x 6" - perfect for this trio of blooms. Last, but not least, a tiny little note card using the final bloom - and a bit more grey! The 'love you' comes from Altenew's Fresh Freesia, cut with their Featured Sentiments die set. And, voila! My card trio is complete - and I had such fun! Thanks so very much, Therese, for always inspiring me! and thanks to you, my friends for stopping by - of course I'd appreciate it so much if you'd hop over to Therese's blog post and IF you fancy a bit of shopping, please use her affiliate links? Thanks, tons! =] Michele Therese will be LIVE on YouTube today at 6 EST! Come join me in the chat space!

Hello there and happy Saturday to you! Today I have a card to share using the Spellbinders Stylish Ovals Collection. This collection is really pretty and I love the fun oval shape. These ovals are not your average oval shape, they have straight side edges, so something a little bit different and I really like them! PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. I started off my card by die cutting the Spellbinders Stylish Oval Hello You Floral Etched Dies. I cut the base layer twice from the new Spellbinders Fog Cardstock and then I also cut the leaf layers with this too. The flowers were die cut from Spellbinders Purple Mist, Lilac Blossom and Royal Amethyst Cardstock. I cut the flower centres from Spellbinders Chamomile and Beeswax Cardstock. I wanted an extra layer for the flower centres, since I didn't use the detailed layer in the set, so I cut an additional layer from Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms Etched Dies to place on top. The flowers and leaves were assembled and adhered with Bearly Art Glue. I cut a panel of white cardstock using one of the Spellbinders Essential Stylish Ovals Etched Dies and adhered the base layer of the image on top with Bearly Art Glue. The flowers were adhered with thin foam tape. I die cut a panel of Spellbinder Purple Mist Cardstock from a slightly larger Stylish Oval and then adhered to a card base made using the same oval die from white cardstock (I made a side-folding card base and placed the die on top, making sure overhang the die slightly to not cut the fold). The flower panel was then adhered on top with thin foam tape. I die cut the hello sentiment from Spellbinders Wonderful Script Sentiments Etched Dies from Spellbinders Purple Amethyst Cardstock for the word itself and white cardstock for the shadow. They were adhered together and then added to the card. To finish off, I embellished with a few Spellbinders Fashion Oyster Color Essentials Pearls. Although the flowers are made to fit in an oval shape, they work wonderfully with different shapes too. You could even just use the flowers and leaves without the base layer as well! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really appreciate it. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

DIY Cards using Spellbinders Anemone Blooms Collection by Yana Smakula. Die-cutting and Stamping #Cardmaking #Papercraft
Hello, crafters. This is Yana Smakula, I’m thrilled to introduce my new collection with Spellbinders called Yana’s Blooms. I designed this collection with elegant Spring Birthday card making in mind. I give a lot of Birthday cards and my friends and family always ask me to make and give them some birthday cards for them to gift to their friends, thus I never have any on hand and this is the one type of card I need the most. This collection includes 7 products, 5 of them – hot foil glimmer plates and 2 – dies. S4-1169 MAGNOLIA BLOOMS DIE SET Magnolia is the design around the entire collection. I have this design in die form and also in a form of 2 different glimmer plates. The die is the largest giving you a pretty big magnolia cluster for your cards. All of these products are designed for A2 card making, but they can be used for other card sizes. You can adapt them to other sizes if you want. The Magnolia Blooms die set has 2 pieces – a detail one to cut the magnolia detail and outline, and also a shadow die. You can do several techniques with this die, including paper piecing or dry embossing to add color to your magnolia. Here are a few additional card examples created using this die to show you various uses & color options: GLP-304 MAGNOLIA GLIMMER BLOOMS GLIMMER & DIE SET This same design is available in glimmer form, but slightly smaller, it is the Magnolia Glimmer Blooms. Still large enough to take a center stage on a card, this includes a magnolia cluster glimmer plate and a coordinating die to cut the entire cluster out. This is a mostly outline design with solid leaves. You can color it, or leave it free from coloring, either way, it looks stunning. Here are a few examples: It also looks amazing foiled in black on black cardstock for a very dramatic look: GLP-306 MAGNOLIA BOUQUET GLIMMER & DIE SET There’s also a 3rd magnolia set, called Magnolia Bouquet. This one features separate images – flowers and leaves. These are glimmer plates with coordinating dies. The idea behind this set is to allow you to build your own clusters or to add additional imagery to the Magnolia Blooms cluster. The designs are exactly the same, but the size is again, slightly smaller. You can use these magnolia blooms to create a floral focal point for your card or you can use just a single flower or a single leaf as an accent. S5-496 YANA’S LAYERED SCRIPT SENTIMENTS I designed 2 sentiment sets – one is a die set called Yana’s Layered Script Sentiments and there’s also a hot foil sentiment set called Splatter Sentiments. In the die set, you have 3 large word dies – Happy, Birthday, and Thanks. Each die has a detail and shadow layer. The shadow layer looks especially beautiful when die cut from vellum, it gives a very soft look. GLP-300 SPLATTER SENTIMENTS The shadow layer dies from the Yana’s Layered Script Sentiments coordinates with the glimmer sentiments from the Splatter Sentiment glimmer set. The size is the same and you can use the shadow die to cut out a foiled sentiment. We didn’t do the foiled “Happy” in that script font, but we did include a small “happy” plate. You also have additional small words to foil “Birthday Wishes”, “On Your Birthday”, or “Happy Birthday”. The Thanks also has supportive words and you have 2 options – “Thanks for your friendship” and “Thanks for your support”. Of course, you can also pair these with sentiments you already have in your stash. Also works well with my previously released Yana’s Tiny Sentiments The Splatter Sentiments set also includes a thick frame for A2 cards and 3 splatter elements. I love the look of splatter on my cards, but I can never create perfect splatter, I either overdo it with the splattering or don’t splatter enough. With these glimmer plates, you can add just the right amount of splatter to your project. GLP-308 GEO FOLIAGE Next is the Geo Foliage glimmer and coordinating die set. This set features a large geometric frame shape and coordinating dies to cut out either a frame or a label. And this shape coordinates with the Diamond Floral Frame set from my previous collection. You can layer the 2 shapes to create a new shape. This set also includes 2 tear plates – a longer and shorter one. These are quite unique and I can’t wait to see how you’ll use them on your cards. We had some space left when designing this set, so I filled it with additional foliage. This time the foliage is slightly larger and it is solid. It looks amazing when foiled in Matte Gold. And the foliage pieces all have coordinating dies. GLP-301 DIAGONAL GLIMMER STRIPES And the last, but not least, is a new background plate, the Diagonal Glimmer Stripes plate. This one might look familiar as it is very similar to the Skinny Stripe background plate released in my previous collection. The thickness of the stripes is the same here, but the directionality is different as these stripes are diagonal. Perfect for clean and simple card making and looks amazing when foiled in Opal foil on colored cardstock – it gives a tone-on-tone look. So that’s the look at my new Yana’s Blooms collection. I’d love to hear what you think, I always appreciate your comments and feedback! Cannot wait to see what you’ll create! Have fun crafting!
