I just love Amsterdam, and I've visited the city twice. I find these narrow houses sorrounding the canals beautiful. I took this picture standing on a bridge on a street called Vredenburgersteeg. It was late in the evening, and I used a tripod while bracketing with five different exposures. It came out quite nice I'd say.

The fantastic crumbling kasbah at Telouet. This kasbah (a fort ) was owned by a wealthy wasir and sat on the originally caravan route from the Sahara including Timbuktu. It was the seat El Glourie family but was destroyed when he fell from political favour. It has recently been returned to the family and work is under way to restore. It is a fascinating blend of old and new and a window to times long gone.
