I know some of you love cut files and probably thought I had given them up but I just haven't felt inspired lately. Well I needed a good border for this page so I made this fleur border. I am giving you a link to the SCUT2 file as well as a .jpg image so you can use it with some of your die cutting machines. ***Here is the link for the Fleur Border SCUT2 file*** ***Be sure to mention SketchSavvy with a link when you use this file. As always, please leave a comment and let me know what you think of the sketch and cut file. Have Fun! And here is the .jpg image - click the image to enlarge before saving. Oh my goodness, you have to see this adorable layout from Melissa D. She has the sweetest photo but the papers and embellishments are just great fun too. This is a great example of how the same sketch can look completely different. Have you guys ever used one sketch twice? Give it a try. Visit Melissa's blog here for more.
The challenge from Scrap Happens! is to make a card based on a scrapbook sketch. This was particularly difficult for me, as I am not a scrap book creator, just cards. I found this one at Scrapbooks Etc. Here is my version: Paper scraps from Amy Butler Lotus Blossom. Stamp from Fiskars. Bling from stash.

We've got another terrific sketch for you over at Stuck?! Sketches: I made another student gift: Here are some details. If you frequent my blog, you know I have a thing for monsters. And puffy stickers. And how super-fun is it to be able to use monster puffy stickers! These pages I'm making for my students are a perfect opportunity to use these playful embellishments. I used these puffy stickers, by American Greetings, as the starting point for my page, and pulled papers from my scrap drawers to match the colors. I cut the stars out with my Silhouette Cameo. That circle clip is by Evalicious. More monsters! And one more! I used a stencil by The Crafter's Workshop and texture paste mixed with white acrylic paint in the background. You'll want to come play for a chance to win some awesome prizes from our sponsors:

Hi All!! Happy Saturday! I hope you all are getting some time in today to scrap! I am attending an all day crop today and so excited to get my scrap on! :) Today, I am sharing with you my layout I created using the sketch for Sketches In Thyme's Feb. 15th Sketch. Here's my layout: and here is the sketch - created by no other than ME! :) Make sure you check out Sketches In Thyme's blog for the current challenges. They are also having a Design Team Call!! Check it out! :)
Hello! Today I'm sharing my layout I created for the May 2020 Scrap Our Stash Sketch Challenge! Check it out: "Love" I used the Scrap Our Stash sketch below. I used My Mind's Eye paper with hearts (pink and white paper). I also used heart die cuts. Here's the challenge: We would love for you to play along! www.scrapourstash.blogspot.com Don't forget to check out Challenges over at The ScrapRoom Challenges and Scrappy Friends Challenges Have a great day!
Happy Sunday! Michelle here today with the weekly Sunday Sketch Challenge. Today's sketch features a single square photo with layers, tags, and circles. For my take on the sketch I used the February "Love Letters" Main Kit and gold embroidery thread from my own supplies.. I typically scrap in an 8.5x11 format and I find it no trouble at all in translating a square sketch into rectangular layout. My usual technique is to simply downsize the sketch, basically recreate it on a smaller scale. Occasionally, as I did this time with the journaling, I will move elements to where I have more room. Now it's your turn to take on this week's sketch! We love to see what you do with our kits and sketches so please make sure to upload your projects to the Citrus Twist Gallery. And remember, by uploading your take on today's sketch to the gallery by 2/7, you will be entered to win a $5 Coupon to use on anything in the CTK Store! Also add 2/1 to the title line.
This is not the most exciting looking sketch but it gives you a bit of room to play with adding embellishment or strong patterned papers. For my example I have used some Pink Paislee London Market papers and Ephemera. And here is a really great UK Epcot page from my friend, Wendy Mitchell. I love the papers she chose. Check out this great layout by Kristin Fougeron. Visit Kristin's blog for close ups. A little holiday cheer from Merrick :) Visit Merrick's blog here for more inspiration. And you have to smile at this page from Tracey. Great use of Echo Park's Life is Good Collection. Visit Tracey's blog here.
Hi My Scrapping Friends! It's time for a new challenge over at Stuck?!Sketches! For the February 15th challenge Laura Whitaker created two fabulous sketches to choose from! Here's a look at the first one.... and here's the bonus sketch! I chose to use the first sketch, to document this photo of my son looking out over the lake and just admiring the beauty in nature. Here's my take using the first sketch... I used a few pieces of patterned paper from Echo Park *Happy Birthday(Boy)* collection on this layout. As you can see the pattern papers in this collection can be use to document much more than just a birthday celebrate. I started my layout off by adding a 10x10 pieces of white cardstock to the lower left hand corner, instead of placing it in the center of the page. Behind my photo I added some layers using some solid color cardstock and a couple of doilies. I use my Big Shot to create a die-up star and some branches and use the die-cutting to create a cluster on the left hand side of my photo as well as a button from my stash. I added a pop of color with the orange on my title and also in the tag at the top of the photo. I finish the layout off by adding some die-cut stars to the page, as well as a few enamels dots and some black paint splatters. Thanks for stopping by :) xx We'd love for you to play along with us at Stuck?!Sketches all you have to do is create a layout based on one of the sketches or even both...and link up your layout on the Stuck?!Sketches blog by February, 28th to be in the running to win a prize from one of our sponsors! Prize is a $25 gift certificate... Prize is a $25 gift certificate...
