There are ten characterization webs for the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding included in this product. There are characterization webs for Ralph, Jack, Simon, Piggy, Roger, Samneric (Sam and Eric), Littluns, Maurice, and Robert. I have also provided one blank graphic organizer so that you can give students the opportunity to use whatever character from the novel they want. These characterization webs can be used individually or in groups. You can have students do all of them or you can give different students or different groups graphic organizers for different characters. This activity can be done in class or at home for homework. This is a good way to review some of the major characters before a unit test. There is no answer key for this product because answers can vary. If you have any questions feel free to ask. **This product is included in my unit for the novel Lord of the Flies listed here: Activities and Handouts for Lord of the Flies by William Golding Related Products • Assessment Bundle for the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding • Character Maps for the Novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding • Digital Task Cards for Lord of the Flies by William Golding (Google Drive) • Projects for the Novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding • Study Guide Questions with Answers for the Novel Lord of the Flies • Task Cards for the Novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding • Unit Test with Answer Key for the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding

Simon Says is such a fun game to play in speech therapy! Some of my students needed visual supports or communication boards to participate! This is why I made this simple Simon Says board! How I use this product: Follow the traditional Simon Says Game Rules (only complete an action if “Simon Says”) *I use this as a visual support for students who need it. I point to Simon-Says-[Action] (while verbalizing) and have the students watch and mimic the action. I included a strip at the bottom for when a student completes an action when I didn’t point to Simon Says first (their turn is over). *I also use this as a communication board for my non-verbal or limited verbal students. They get to hold the board and point to the commands for their peers to follow. Enjoy this Freebie! Please follow my store and check out my other Freebies and paid products!

I am a grade 3 French Immersion teacher, but often work with the kindergarten students and grade 1 classes as prep coverage. We LOVE playing Simon dit! But sometimes can't think of commands quickly and on-the-spot. This game is PERFECT for days when there are 5 minutes to the bell and you need a quick and easy game to play. It's also a great activity for when you have supply teachers, students teachers, and volunteers in helping you out or replacing you. And lastly, higher Primary students could actually run this game themselves by picking a "Simon" and having them select the cards. THIS PRODUCT INCLUDES: - blue, red, and green Simon dit... command cards - yellow cards with commands that Simon does NOT say - blank command cards to create and add your own ideas!

The resources in this packet cover a 10-day teaching cycle, and it comes with everything you need (except the books, of course) to engage your students with this delightful book by Andrew Clements (Houghton Mifflin edition) and originally published by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. Common core comprehension strategies like cause/effect, inference, questioning strategies, character traits - and more - receive the focus. If project-based learning is your thing, there are 9 possible end-of-the-book projects, too. Included are: * complete lesson plans specific to core reading comprehension strategies * scripted and detailed plans so the group can be led by a teacher, parent, or para-professional * assignment sheet for student with book broken into 10 days * assessment sheet for teacher to record points for participation and comprehension activities * 8 comprehension activities with graphic organizers * 9 possible projects for end-of-book activity Please note: we do NOT include questions specific to the book itself. We love reading Literature Circle books along with the students, and hope you will, too. The lesson plans are structured with the focus on comprehension, student input and collaboration, and projects that can be assigned for homework or used in class. Just how easy is it for paras or parent volunteers to use our lesson plans? Use a clipboard to hold the assignment chart, evaluation chart, lesson plan pages and that day's activity - and you are ready to go! Every year we get parents in our grade (who have already been through Lit Circles with us) asking us to please do Lit Circles again this year. Many parents who have helped in the past are repeat group leaders - yes, it is that much fun to share these books with our kids! Be sure to check back in the coming weeks as we add additional titles! (If you have a particular title you are looking for, please let us know in the "ask a question" section of our store. We would be happy to adapt what we have to fit a book you use with your students.) Happy reading, It All Started with Flubber
Practice and review the Spanish body parts with this fun twist on the classic game Simon Dice. In this game the students don't have to listed for the phrase 'Simon Dice' at all! They have to listen for the Spanish body part called out and decide if what they HEAR is what they SEE projected in the classroom. If it is, they touch the correct body part, but if it's not the same body part, then they don't move. The cute monkey first will lead you through a review of the body parts so that students have a chance to warm up and get familiar with the pictures. Because this in in Powerpoint format, you are able to copy the slides and place them into a different order for a new game over and over again! I have prepared a call list for you for the first game, but you can create your own based upon the order of the pictures you choose to set up your new game. You may also choose to delete body parts that you do not teach. All you have to do is adjust the call list that I have provided! These are the body parts covered: Arm Ankle Body Back Chest Ear Eye Elbow Finger Foot Head Hand Knee Leg Mouth Neck Nose Shoulder Stomach Teeth Tongue Toes Wrist Want to be updated about new products and sales from my store via email? Auditory comprehension is an important skill to have. A good ability to follow directions will help a student to become more successful in their daily school and home environments. Children are constantly asked to follow 1, 2, and even 3-step commands during a normal school or home environment day! This auditory comprehension packet is full of opportunities to address direction following at the 1, 2, and 3-step levels. Students will enjoy coloring gingerbread men, decorating a gingerbread house, and even playing, "Cinnamon Says" (a take on the Simon Says Game). After doing these fun tasks, your students will for sure have improved in their ability to follow directions which will hopefully help them to become even better students! Make sure to download the preview. It is in there that you can gain a closer understanding of this product and also receive one free gingerbread direction following activity. Enjoy! We hope you enjoy using it and find it helpful! We hope that this unit exceeds your expectations and we welcome any and all comments and feedback here at TPT or sent via email.
