Shanghai had been a thriving center for jazz and swing music during the 1930s and 1940s. These night clubs are vividly recreated in the opening segments of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom . I got deeper into this world when I had a chance to see some 1930s and 1940s era Chinese musicals when

ENHANCE YOUR ENVIRONMENT WITH AWARD WINNING ORIGINAL FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY! New Orleans Jazz Band A wonderful image of a traditional Dixieland jazz band in the French Quarter of New Orleans. This image captures a moment in time, but what moment? There are very few clues, from looking at the people, of the era. The warm, Rembrandt type lighting and deep contrast make it timeless. This image has an interesting history behind it. Although captured in 1980, I had to wait twenty-five years for technology to catch up in order to be able to present it as was originally intended. Only with modern scanning and printing technology was I able to bring out the shadow detail and rich tones that make the image exceptional. This jazz-inspired fine art is the perfect gift for a music lover or jazz connoisseur, and will add warmth to any room or décor. Original fine art photography by Jim Lipschutz 🌎 I've been photographing around the world for over forty years and I'm presenting here what I consider my finest images. I hope you enjoy them! For more on my personal philosophy, please visit https://etsy.me/2pVmEwi. THE PRINT: This image is printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Digital Pearl paper. This medium marks a new era in the printing of high quality glossy digital images. Pearl-like crystals give silver halide color prints a specific luster, creating a distinctive pearl-like appearance and brings out the full tonal range and color vibrance of the image. All printing is done by a lab that provides prints for major museums and galleries. 11x14 or 16 16x20 or 24 20x24 or 30 These dimensions are for the paper. There is a white border of about 1/2". This is to allow for easy matting and handling. If you would rather have the image printed to the full size of the paper, without a border, please indicate that in the comments section of the order. If the image is of a non-standard size, then the image will be printed to fit the paper and there will be extra white space on the sides. All prints come unframed. The print is shipped in a clear plastic envelope, flat and not matted, in a sturdy cardboard box. This is to allow the buyer to select the mat and frame locally since this is a personal decision and should be done with the advice of an experienced local frame shop. The print is being offered here in three sizes, but if you have other needs or want it in another format (canvas, different size, etc.), please contact me and I will accommodate your request. This print is being offered through Etsy at special discounted prices. Shanghai is one of the world's best cities and there are many things to do in Shanghai. Here are 5 awesome things to do in Shanghai, China to get started!
English and Chinese version quoted from CX website. American Roy C Farrell and Australian Sydney H de Kantzow founded Cathay Pacific Airways in Hong Kong on 24 September, 1946. Initially based in Shanghai, the two men eventually moved to Hong Kong and founded Cathay Pacific Airways. Legend has it that Farrell and a group of foreign correspondents thought up the airline's unique name in the bar at the Manila Hotel!
