Well, I didn't make the 29 faces in February, but I blogged every day! That was my challenge to myself--I think it's going to be a while before I take on that challenge again : ) But during this month I hit 1000 flollowers (wow--thank you guys!!) And because of that and me coming to the end of this challenge, I've decided to have a giveway-- She was my favorite face that I made this month, so I made a print of her and mounted her on an 8 x 8 cradleboard panel. ...did my little 'paint'over' technique--even with the poppies--so now she's all ready to hang and waiting for a new home. All you have to do is a leave a comment on my blog, and to get your name in twice go over to my Facebook page HERE and be a 'liker' (make sure you tell me if you do), and if you're already a fan, let me know. I'll draw the winner next Thursday (March 7)--good luck everyone!! P.S. I know it's annoying with the word verification thing for leaving comments, so I shut it off, and now I've turned it back on--I received at least a half a dozen spam comments on the same day that I turned it off--so I just had to turn it back on--sorry. And I can't leave without thanking Ayala Art for this challenge. She, among the other new 'ladies' around here would most likely have not come to be!

I just love that this week Websters Pages & Dusty Attic is doing a product collaberation in which both design teams get to work with both companies products together! I was sent this beautiful 12x12 Display Frame a while back from Dusty Attic and finally got the chance to use it! I decided to make a Shabby-Chic wall hanging for on of my daughters bedroom. I used a combination of Websters Pages Western Romance, Postcards from Paris and Lifes Portrait Collections, along with a number of their beautiful trims and embellishments (DesignerThreads/Heart Doily, Silhouettes/Cameo, WP/Unity Stamp Set/Beauty). And from Dusty Attic I used the 12x12 Display Frame and about another 10 pieces of their beautiful laser cuts including the new Cameo Sliders (behind the cameo), Corset, 2 of the new Rose Stems, a Lamp Post #4, Baroque corners, Wrought Iron Fence, and a Wrought Iron Trim Set (along the top of the design). Here are some close-up shots of each of the sections on this home decor piece... The Rosebud I simply painted white and used a pink and light green chalk ink on the edges to give it some subtle color. I just LOVE these new Dusty Attic Cameo Sliders!! It's like they were specially made for the Websters Pages Silhouettes! They fit perfectly! For the Corset chippie, I painted the whole thing with white paint, then inked it lightly with some pink chalk ink. Then I stamped the piece with a lace stamp (I used a strip stamp from an old Prima Frame stamp set for this). And then finally added some glitter with a bit of Stickles (Stardust). TIP: I wanted to keep the pinks very soft on this project so I slightly changed the look of the Websters Pages Cameo by dabbing some Colorbox White Chalk ink over the edges of the Cameo piece... This week the design teams of both Websters Pages and Dusty Attic will be posting their projects at a special thread in their forums. I've seen most of the projects and let me say, they are spectacular! You can view the projects made by the Dusty Attic design team girls throughout the week at this link DUSTY ATTIC FORUM ...and you can see the projects of the girls from the Websters Pages design team girls at this link WEBSTERS PAGES FORUM. Thanks for stopping by my blog and having a peek, and thanks so much for your kind comments, your feedback means a lot to me! (Please note: I am often asked where you all can find the Dusty Attic Products, I have listed a number of great retailers for this product that are happy to ship worldwide! You can find them in the right hand column of my blog....I got a note from a number of them recently that they have just recieved new product and are fully stocked....but my advice is hurry, because I understand they sell out quickly! ...Many of them (such as http://www.staytruetogod.com/ ) will take orders too if they don't have the items you were looking for in stock!

Klem Anne Kristine

To the right of my front door is a little area that I really like. There is a window there where I can look out at my front porch flowers. This is the area I decided to share today. This is the little area I am talking about. This is the cabinet when I bought it at Salvation Army for something like $10 Of course, I immediately painted it white. I always burn wax tarts--I enjoy changing smells often. This is the printer box style house that I used my scrapbooking skills to create something that feels like I wanted my house to feel. When I made this we knew we had to move to a smaller house and didn't know how we were going to afford to move anywhere. There was even a threat of being homeless but I had faith things would work out and they did. I made this a couple years ago and decorated it in a way that I hoped our new home would be like. This shows pictures of the kids years ago. This is the "moving quote" I repeated many times through out our move. I hate clutter! This is before Janae had her own house and all her chandeliers--but it looks like I knew it was coming. She loves chandeliers, and so do I! This is our family like 10 years ago I wanted to share this picture today too--since it was the first day of school (6th grade) for my boys. As you can see neither one of them looks very happy. After sleeping til noon all summer the thought of getting up at 7:30am did not appeal to either one of them! (or me for that matter) I haven't shared much about my kids yet because I want to make a page about them on the side of my blog and haven't figured out how to do that ! Gage and Wyatt are identical twins but while in the womb Gage had a stroke and so he is disabled and doesn't walk or talk. I always know what he wants me to know though. They are both complete joys to me--nobody ever told me how sweet boys can be! Thanks for stopping by--I really enjoy your comments. I'm linking to Show and Tell friday
The big feature here is the layered vintage spoon in the far right section. Place a piece of the Lille collection paper in the background, layer with the large Gypsy hardware medallion and then mount a vintage spoon in a vintage sewing spool. add crinkled seam binding {just scrunch up in your hand and the heat from your palm will crinkle it} and a small piece of the Lille "vintage stamp" paper tape as an accent.
Hi,everyone. Its gonna be a biggest challenge in my life! Graphic 45 made a design team call for 2013!! Here is my Graphic 45 audition entry. I really hope I can get through it. Fingers crossed!! Life sized paper dress Description: I mostly used scrapbook paper to create this dress, so it's 99 % made of paper:) It took me a month to make, but it was so fun! Printer tray project Description: I bought this printer tray a couple of months ago,and I was waiting for a good idea for it. I finished it recently. :) I wanted to put some story into it. if you look at it and imagine what kind of person you think she is, what she likes, what is her job, where she lives, etc. Each person who sees this will have a different idea. I think that makes it fun to look at this project. Wooden box Description: I bought this box in a sale.It was broken so cost me only 3$!! After I decorate with Graphic 45 papers, it doesn't look like 3$ anymore. That is why I love Graphic 45 papers and scrapbook!! Twelve inch layout Description: This is a picture of my sister when turned to 20 years old. I made it as a gift for her. Both of us like vintage style, so I made this layout looks like her room. As you see I like to use depth and perspective to create a scene in my 12 inch layout. My favorite iPhone cover Description: THIS is my favorite Graphic 45 iPhone cover!! Yes,its always with me. You can tell how match I love Graphic 45!! I finished with UV resin so I don't need to afraid rainy day. Gentleman Box Description: I wanted to use this box with French Country paper, but I couldn't get it before due day. "Get busy creating and most of all, have fun!" After I read this phrase on Graphic 45 audition call page, I told myself "I should decorate this box with my favorite collection NOW!" Then I could finish this box a day! hallelujah. Exploding box Description: I was making this box with my boss on end of 2012. I made just outside with her because I couldn't finish it at that day. I made inside by myself at home, but I want to surprise her! So I left the outside simple and inside...ta-da!! It turned like this! Thank you for stopping by my blog. I hope I can make to Graphic 45 design team audition!! Have a wonderful day. Graphic 45 design team audition 2013!! What kind of audition? click here

:-) xx Leonie xx
