Hello friends - if you recall last fall I asked about interest in a Pocket Letter swap and there seemed to be enough interest to proceed. Now that the holidays are over it's time to give it a go! Pocket Letter Page Swap Sign Ups - 1-12 through 1-22 Ship Date 2-5-16 (YES, this swap is open to international friends!) First question some people might have - what is a pocket letter? Think of Pocket Letters as a set of ATC's with a few extra goodies thrown in. Basically you take a 9 hole Baseball Card page; make an ATC for each space (more on this later) and tuck in little surprises behind each card...and don't forget the letter part! Each pocket can hold a card with the same general theme yet each with a different design. You could design a single page that you then cut into 9 sections, one for each pocket. You could choose different designs for each card. Or it could focus on a single color scheme. Whatever you choose your pocket letter should be filled with art from your heart! Remember the back is just as important as the front of your Pocket Letter. You should add a letter in one of the pockets, telling the recipient a bit about yourself, maybe about where you live, work, your art, etc. The remaining 8 pockets can be filled with anything you can fit inside...it could be stickers, die-cuts, sticky back gems, buttons, eyelets, vintage ephemera, washi tape, glitter tape, fibers, ribbon, charms, pins, brads, twine, felt pieces, gemstones, etc. Virtually anything you can think of. You can also add little treats too - tea, cocoa, sweets, mints, etc. HOW IT WORKS: You can sign up here for one or two spots - Sign ups run from today through 1-22. Once sign ups are closed I will send you a name and address of the person you will be sending your Pocket Letter to. Make a pocket letter and fill it with goodness (you can start on this right now if you like). You should mail your Pocket Letter to the recipient no later than February 5th, of course you can send it earlier if you would like. Once your pocket letter has been mailed, send me an e-mail with the confirmation number so I can keep track of everyone's progress and to make sure nobody is forgotten. Stalk the mailman for happy mail! PARTICIPANTS: Please post an e-mail addy when you sign up so I can send you an e-mail to obtain the necessary info. for the swap. 1. Roni 2. Dixie - Sent 3. Hello! Today I am sharing a new project for the Meg's Garden Design Team using a combination of the gorgeous Butterfly Garden and Forgotten Meadows collections, as well as some embellishments from the Meg's Garden Store and from my stash. Have you heard of pocket letters? I just recently learned about them and, since I love making Artist Trading Cards, I thought it would be fun to create a pocket letter page, which is (essentially) a collection of coordinated ATCs in a trading card page! The Meg's Garden Mini-Papers and Cut & Create Ephemera papers are absolutely perfect for creating pocket letters - you can also use bits and pieces leftover from your larger papers! I wanted this page to look as though it were a collection of vintage memorabilia from a trip to Paris, so I have distressed and added Vintage Photo distress ink to the edges of the papers. Here are some close-ups of each of the rows (out of the plastic trading card page to avoid glare)! I hope you like my pocket letter page - it was so fun to make! If you create one with Meg's Garden products, leave me a link in the comments below so I can pop by for a look! Happy Scrapping! Sandrine VACHON
Today I have - yes - another Pocket Letter to share with you. I know, but I really am having fun making these. They are like ATC's on steroids! Way too much fun packed into a small (sort of) package. This Pocket Letter is also featured today on the IMAGINE Crafts blog - Autumn Mixed Media Pocket Letter! This pocket letter was created with a mixed media style involved and a bit different than other PL's I've shared recently. This one was created as a single piece then cut into the individual cards for each pocket. It's not better than other styles, just a different twist. I used all sorts of different media to create this from Creative Medium, Fireworks Sprays, Staz-On, Memento Inks and Markers, Stencils, Stamps and more. If you'd like to see step by step instructions and a complete supply list you can find it here - Autumn Mixed Media Pocket Letter. And of course I filled up the back with a variety of goodies! Would you like to receive this pocket letter in the mail? Well one Ink Stained friend will - all you have to do is post a comment about fall in your area (and I know it might not be autumn where you live but we'd still like to hear about it). You have until 10-9 to post your comment and you might just be the lucky winner :) Hope you have a wonderful Autumn weekend!

Hey guys This week I have 2 projects created using supplies from Imagine if.... First up is a Pocket Letter. I have been hooked on these things since I heard about it so I wanted to create a pocket letter using these awesome chipboard Pieces. If you are not familiar with the Pocket Letter Craze that is trending the crafty scene right now.I have more info on my FB page. So as you can see on each card I have embellished and used some chipboard pieces that I have inked from Imagine if... This is so much fun...you can create the Pocket Letters in whatever style you choose or if you have a swap partner maybe challenge yourself and create one in a style of their choice :) My second project I have created an Autumn tag. We have Autumn swaps going on over at my swap group - With All My Art and Soul Swappers. And I thought these felt leaves and chipboard pieces would be perfect to use on mine :) I love these autumn colours. I inked my chipboard pieces up with ink and then with my finger I rubbed in some bronze and gold metallic paint. So there you go guys so many things you can create with supplies from Imagine if... This is actually my last post as a designer for Imagine if.... but certainly not the last time I use their great crafty goodies. Just want to say a big thank you to my fellow design team mates...I have been so inspired by all of your work and am always amazed at the creations you guys come up with using what really is "cardboard shapes" :) In the future Jo will be holding competitions to win spots as Guest Designers and I think that is an awesome opportunity for some of you talented crafters to show us all your amazing work. Thank you so much Jo for this time I've spent designing for you and of course for all the awesome goodies you have sent my way to play with. Be sure to click here guys to go directly to the Imagine if... shop and grab yourself some goodies. Tasha xxxx

Better hope you don't find your name in this book... Red reporter style flip book fits perfectly in shirt pocket. Hand stamped letters on front cover read SHIT LIST. Black binding and spiral, topographic map end pages, and random assortment of pages. Each RXS RKIVES notebook is a one-of-a-kind work of art. Handcrafted by Kevin Wildermuth in Tacoma, Washington, these notebooks are lovingly constructed of papers, boards, maps, and photographs salvaged from the waste stream. These books are all slightly different sizes, depending on the size of the original materials used. Email [email protected] with any questions on further details; I'm happy to help! Please note that small signs of age, minor wear, stray marks, etc. are to be expected in these unique notebooks.
Our theme this week over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog is "have a heart." It's a simple little quote we've all heard, often used jokingly, but it struck me that having a heart (i.e. thinking of others and making an effort to be kind) is some pretty solid advice! Note to self: keep working on that. I started with a great new die from AALL & Create called Numberama that cuts these fantastically funky edges. Then I brushed some green-toned paint around just to get something on my background. I tore out a section of Dina Wakley's ledger paper and glued that onto my background. Then I whipped out a stencil called Water Stains and used it to add the black circle outlines. I colored the inside of the circles with white and pink paint. While that dried, I stamped some text and number images onto newsprint paper using Tim Holtz's Sideshow stamp set. I cut and tore it into random shapes. I also cut out a heart using AALL & Create's Heartnook die set. I glued the stamped text/number paper onto my background and played around with more paint, adding yellows and oranges into the mix. I also added some brown and black around the edges of the card to emphasize all those lovely loopy shapes. I hand-cut a wonky yellow letter "C" shape, then used the Heartnook die set again to cut out a quirky ring shape. I painted both of them and also painted the heart, which I added more color to after I took this picture. I used Tim Holtz's Seasonal Scribbles stamp set to stamp the word "Love." I also scribbled around the inner edges of my card with Distress watercolor pencils. All that was left was assembly and wah-la! This card was done (including a classy white glue blob on the left side of the heart that I didn't notice until I saw this picture. Ha!). Here are the supplies I used that you can find at Simon Says Stamp: AALL & Create: Numberama Die Set AALL & Create: Heartnook Die Set Tim Holtz: Sideshow Stamp Set Tim Holtz: Seasonal Scribbles Stamp Set Distress Watercolor Pencils: Set 1 Dina Wakley Ledger Paper: Set 2 Fairy Hugs: Water Stain Stencil Sizzix Big Shot Strathmore Mixed Media Paper Dina Wakley Acrylic Paint: White, Fir, Lime, Ocean, Stoked, Carnation, Olive, Lemon, Umber, Black Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink We're excited to see your heart-inspired creations this week! It’s the centenary year of the birth of Mervyn Peake! How did I not know that? In my late teens I was obsessed with his work, starting with the Gormenghast trilogy but quickly embracing his poetry and art. I haven’t looked at any of it for ages, but particularly remember...

Creo mi project life en formato 30x30 cm. ¿Utilizas alguna app? Llevo siempre un bloc de notas encima. Anoto todo cuanto puedo. No utilizo ninguna aplicación. Muchas gracias Mumkaa!!! Te seguiremos de cerca!
