This simple crescent shawl is perfect for highlighting a beautiful yarn, like the hand dyed Serendipidye Dyeworks Kings Mountain O’Sparkle DK. Crescent shawls are easier to tie than triangle shawls.
Color: California Description: Hand dyed yarn in Golden Yellow. This color is reminiscent me of warm summer days basking in the sun, and California poppies. Yeah... just want to, like, absorb the warmth radiating off of it. Yarn: Kings Mountain Superwash Sock 75% Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Nylon Approx. 3.5oz/100g, 450 yards/411 meters Estimated size: 6-6.5 = 1" on #1-3 us All yarns are hand dyed or hand painted in small batches in my outdoor studio using professional quality acid dyes. While acid dyes are typically washfast, I recommend hand washing in cold water to preserve the vibrant colors even for superwash fibers. I have tried mightily to represent the actual color of the yarns in my photographs, but colors will appear different in different lighting situations, and will vary from monitor to monitor. I am striving to have you have that love-at-first-sight- experience with your newly acquired color drenched soft bundle of happiness, but if you are disappointed, please see the shop policies under each section under Yarn.

Color: Eggplant Description: A hand dye in rich eggplant purple monochrome semi-solid in Yarn: Kings Mountain DK, a super soft springy yarn ❀ 100% DK Weight Merino Superwash 4ply Wool ❀ Approx. 3.5 oz/100g, 230 yards/210 meters All yarns are hand dyed or hand painted in small batches in my studio using professional quality acid dyes. Care: Hand or machine wash gentle cycle in cold water using a low suds soap. Dry flat. As with most hand dyed yarns, each skein will vary in color density and dye pattern. It is always a good idea to work from two, and alternate rows to blend. I have tried mightily to represent the actual color of the yarns in my photographs, but colors will appear different in different lighting situations, and may vary from monitor to monitor. It is a good idea to order the full amount you need while available, as colors vary from batch to batch within the same color. I am striving to have you have that love-at-first-sight- experience with your newly acquired color drenched soft bundle of happiness, but if you are disappointed, please see the shop policies under Yarn.
I first saw this pattern on Pinterest. It looked lovely with hand dyed yarn, and a good single skein project.

Renegade Shawlette is an asymmetrical triangular garter shawlette with an eyelet lace border and picot bind-off, perfect for adventuring. The pattern is suitable for an adventurous beginner, or a relaxing knit for the intermediate-and-up knitter. Gauge is not critical. The pattern includes instructions for knitting larger, making it a perfect vehicle for those impulse buys from your LYS! This also lets it adapt nicely to lighter yarns, allowing for extra yardage. It looks particularly nice in variegated and speckled yarns. The final pattern will be published on February 26, 2017. Going to Stitches West? Be sure to stop by Serendipidye to see the Renegade Shawlette in person!
