Senior Tourism - Lesson Plan and resources to Evaluate Accommodation advertisements for Specific Client Groups This lesson plan targets Dimension 2 of the Year 11 Syllabus - Analysing and applying. I created the lesson and resources in order to teach students to explicitly evaluate and then justify decisions in a highly scaffolded manner. Analysing and applying refers to the ability to examine essential aspects of tourism and the relationships between them, and use concepts and ideas, knowledge, understanding and skills in various tourism contexts. It involves investigating tourism concepts and information, analysing tourism issues and opportunities and using language conventions and features to communicate for specific purposes. The resource includes: 90 minute Lesson plan (could take longer depending on your class). Due to the nature of the lesson, it can be completed more than once by varying the resources per student each time. As this was part of an upcoming assessment task, we practiced the skill of evaluating several times using the resources.
