This hat is awesome! This hat has a classic shape just over sized. This hat is classically shaped with a rustic, rough and tumble appeal. It is handmade by a fellow nature lover in the mountains of Colorado. Rustic looking, suede fabric gives this hat a masculine appeal but can easily be rocked be a lady. This hat can easily be worn straight up or be scrunched down depending on the look you are going for, whether it is a wise wizard or a rustic witch. This hat likes to go floppy but the fabric is stiff enough to keep it's shape. (If you would like the crown wired, please contact me for a custom order.) The suede fabric and light cotton liner keep the hat comfortable to wear for long periods of time out strolling among the trees and wildlife in the forests. Be prepared for the wonderful compliments you will receive at your next get together in the woodlands, attending Bilbo Baggin's birthday party, your first day at Hogwarts, or a nice jaunt around the Renaissance Festival. One size fits most. I recommend checking out our "Hatband" Section at https://www.etsy.com/shop/QueenMabStore?ref=listing-shop2-all-items-count§ion_id=22425628 I can add a sizing band to the hat (for an additional fee) for those with a smaller cranium or for the little wizard or witch. Please consider a custom order for those with a larger cranium to accommodate all of those brains. This is a hat for the discernible witch or wizard, of any age. The brim is wired so it will hold it's shape, whatever you decide that is. Please note that the color might vary a little due to fabric availability and dye batch. If you are looking for an exact color please contact me before purchase. *Please note: The hat is considered "Extra Large" compared to the size of the normal hats, meaning the brim is wider and the crown is taller. It does not have anything to do ~Sizing~ One size fits most up to 24" skull. Please consider a custom order for those with a larger cranium to accommodate all of those brains. *To measure the size of your head, place a flexible measuring tape around your head just above your ears. If you don't have a sewing measuring tape, use a string and then measure the length afterward. You want your hat to be a little larger than the circumference of your head so that it will not be too tight. ~Care~ I recommend spot cleaning if need be. Dry Clean in extreme circumstances. ~Shipping~ The hat is shipped via USPS and is insured. Items are shipped within 1-2 weeks. If you need it sooner, please contact me for expedited shipping. If the hat is marked "Made to Order" please allow 2 to 3 weeks for it the hat be made, depending on the time of year. Please email me about international shipping.

This week on the countdown to Halloween, I'm offering up some Halloween party ideas. I hope this will get your creative juices flowing because a good party takes time to plan. First up the pumpkin carving party which I like to call the pumpkin butcher party. It sets a creepier tone. Pumpkin carving isn't for kids anymore. In fact, who gives a child a knife and says "go at it"? The Mood Dangerous • Bonfire • Knives • Graveyard Picnic Alcohol• Aprons • Barbecue • Scarecrows Martha Stewart Grim Hollow Breezy Cheetah Pop Better Homes and Gardens Publiz (I call it pumpkin revenge) The Invitation If you're the creative sort, I think you could fashion an invitation of a knife inside a box. How cool would that be?! CharmiosCraftParty Consumer Crafts If you can't be bothered making your own invitations, Etsy always has the perfect solution. For many, Halloween is just another holiday. But for its biggest fans (yours truly among them) it’s not just a day, it’s a season. Once the calendar flips to fall, like it or not, we’ve entered spooky season — and the earlier you embrace it, the more fun it’ll be. We’re talking party planning, scary movie marathons, pumpkin picking, and most importantly, decorating.
Our exterior decorations don't change dramatically from year to year because we've invested time and money in what we have, I like it, and when I attempt to change it the neighbors say "But I look forward to the ________ every year!" Ha! So today's post is something I'd like to try. Maybe when we stop having a Halloween party I can make some big changes- yah, right. I'd really like to set up a freaky carnival in our yard. I know that might scare some small children, but, hey, life is scary. Take a look at these photos I keep on my Pinterest board of ideas. By the way, have you checked out my Pinterest Halloween Life board? The clown entrance looks a bit challenging, but the monster face certainly seems possible. (source: Halloween Forum) (source: Halloween Forum) (source: Flickr) I love the idea of a ticket booth as the place where you would hand out candy and treats. (source: Halloween Forum) (source: Halloween Forum) (source: Tumblr, ReadingwithTequila) You could add a few other features to round out the effect. (source: Halloween Forum) (source: Haunt Forum) I'm giggling like a crazy clown just thinking about making something like this. Do you realize we only have till Halloween?! Live each one with a little horror.
