Hi peeps! How are you this fine soggy Friday? As you can tell by that sentence, it's raining here but I'm still in a good mood! I have a fabulous post for you today & I just love it! I had a retirement luncheon for a former co-worker a few weeks ago & needed to make a card & this is what I came up with...I love it! Then the woman that was picking me up has a habit of forgetting things so we all have to call her a few times to remind her that she needs to pick us up or go here or there. It's a running joke with us but we all love her anyway. Love ya Diane! Gina K made a video on this memory dry erase frame & my mind was reeling. I knew I wanted to make it for Diane & then I had a light bulb moment & decide to make one for our retiree Linda as well...not that she forgets anything but ya never know. Now that she's retired she might just start forgetting, right? Ah...maybe not but it was a good gift to make for her anyway. I made a few other little things to put in the gift bag as well, just a little something from me. We all chipped in to get her a few goodies & it put a nice smile on her face when she opened the cards from all her coworkers & friends. Now she has joined us retirees who have a big happy smile plastered to our faces. I call it the Happy face club & everyone wants to join but some still have a few years to go before joining our exclusive club. It was funny hearing them all count down to the day they retire...they can't wait, work has gotten even more stressful since we left & the new systems in place are a nightmare. I got myself together this week and am back on track with Freshly Made Sketches! Narelle, who is seriously the layer and bow queen, is our hostess this week and she has a fabulous sketch. It is so fun!! I used some new products that arrived Monday. Now they were supposed to be here last Friday, but we won't talk about that... See? Fabulous? I had to turn it to make it work for my sentiment, but that's the fun of sketches. :) The sentiment is from the Perfect Pennants stamp set that will be in the Occasions catalog and a fun embossing folder that is a Sale-a-Bration item this year! Oh, and those bit of designer paper are from my new favorite thing from the Occasions catalog, the Fresh Prints Designer Paper stack. She LOVES cars and trucks right now. My mom had bought this truck for Eli not long after he was born and it had been sitting in our closet for years now. I got it out for her and she loved it. She is also enjoying the Hot Wheels that he never got to play with. It's a bit sad, but I'm glad we kept them and can enjoy one of our children playing with them.

We got to spend the afternoon with Marc, Sarah & Jessica (Steve had a baseball game & could not be with us) :o( We had a great lunch outside by the pool, a beautiful sunny day, yep I was in heaven...any time I get to spend with my kids makes me a happy mama!!! Forgot to take pictures but I'll try to remember next time. Here is a card I made for Jessica, she called after she got it in the mail to let me know she loved it! She's sooooooo excited, she sets sail on her New Kids on the Block cruise Thursday, she leaves here on Wednesday to meet up with her friends, stay at a hotel for the night then board the ship the next day. This is her dream & I'm sure she will enjoy every moment. She said she does not want to sleep because she doesn't want to miss a thing, hahaha!!! It was our 41st wedding anniversary yesterday & when Dan got out of work we went to Newport to one of our favorite places to eat, The Atlantic Beach Club (ABC for short) right by the water (Atlantic ocean) & had our fisherman platter....yummmmmm, so darn good!!! Their filet mignon is fabulous too, but we opted for the seafood this time. Did a little shopping on Thames Street in downtown Newport & then headed to Hi-Li to play a few slots before heading home. Great date night with my hubby! Okay enough of that, now onto my cards. Today's card is an interactive one....OMGosh, I love it!!! It's too darn cute!!! I bought the pinwheel sizzlet & pinwheel stamp set from Stampin' Up just so I could make this card & let me tell you, it was the BEST decision I ever made. It looks so much better in person, it twirls from side to side....so much fun!!! I made a few in different colors. I had Ree over that day, (hi Ree!) she wanted to make a wedding card with some of the digital stamps I had & when she saw it...she loved it too, so I gave her one. Hello everyone! Well here is my last diorama card for awhile, don't be surprised if you see one pop up every now & then because I luv making these, I think their awesome!!! Anyway I made this one for a friend of mine who will be celebrating her birthday at the end of February & I wanted to make a special card, so I bought a bath ball & some other goodies so she could take a nice long relaxing bath. She sure could use it too, she's always on the go, I don't know how she does it. I think she's going to like this one! Oh by the way I did get a phone call from Sarah (Jessica's best friend) after she opened the Ski Bunny diorama card that I sent her & she loved it!!! The fabulous Jennifer Timko is our sketch creator at Freshly Made Sketches this week and has this fun one for you. I wasn't feeling so good yesterday and didn't remember until about 3pm that I hadn't made my card. Oops! I had a class last night, so I had to hurry and hope that a card came together fairly quickly for me. Well, Too Kind made sure that happened. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE that set?! I was trying a new color combination from the Color Coach (Old Olive, Pool Party, Crushed Curry), but the Crushed Curry didn't seem to make it. I feel like I haven't posted in ages! I have been stamping, but I have a pile on my desk that I need to share. I loved the current challenge at Curtain Call and combined it here with the Simon Says Stamp challenge on Flikr. Isn't that a lovely inspiration picture? I went back to my new favorite, the SSS November card kit for my card. I added in some fun snow in the background using a creative screening from Winnie & Walter. I think that thing is my new favorite item in my craft room. It adds so much fun to Christmas cards! I just love this picture that I snapped of my two loves today. :)

Hi peeps! Happy Father's day to all you fathers out there...make sure you treat them like kings today ladies, they deserve it! Here is my project as promised, it's a BBQ grill & an apron card that goes inside...what do you think? Was it worth the wait? OMGosh when I saw this on Lori's blog I fell crazy in love with it & just had to make one for Dan this year, I bought him a grill basket (to use to grill shrimp & other things) & a baster for the grill for fathers day at Pampered Chef & this was soooo perfect for this gift. She sells the template for only $2.95 with all the directions on how to make it & let me tell you it was soooo easy to make & I LOVE it! Don't forget you can click on the picture to make it bigger. Good morning Peeps! Today's card design I found on Dawn Griffith's blog & she has a video tutorial on how to make it, click on her name to view video...Go on give it a try, it's awesome! This design is called a "Tunnel card". I LOVE this Whiff of Joy stamp & she's called "Pregnant Willow" & I also used "Rose Swing". I bought these two stamps together (along with a sitting bride Willow stamp) because it appears that she is sitting. Whenever I stamp her for a card I look at her & wonder what is she thinking? Do you remember when you were pregnant for the first time & all the thoughts that went through your mind? Leave me a comment and let me know. I remember thinking...is the baby going to be healthy, am I going to be a good mother, will I have a girl or a boy & I loved feeling the baby move & kick. Those were just a few normal thoughts everyone of us think about when we are pregnant. I made a few pregnant cards for baby showers that I needed to sell at the salon...so stay tuned for more. Happy hump day Peeps!!! Well we woke up to snow this morning...looks soooo pretty when it's falling but when it stops I'm over it & just want it to melt. BRING on the Spring & Summer!!! I don't know, the older I get the more I hate being in the cold. I wish we could afford 2 homes, one for the summer & one in a warm part of the country for the winters....I think we need to win the lottery! Ok, on to my cards. I saw this cute card design on "Paper Crafter's Library" & decided to use up some of my scraps & make a few. If you have lots of scraps (who doesn't) this is a fantastic design for them. Good Monday mornin' Peeps! Are you ready for the start of a whole new week...I am! So, lets get started shall we. Today's cards are all using the MFT Rainbow die , I finally got to use it after purchasing it about a year ago. I made 7 rainbows (so watch for more rainbow cards) I have 3 of them for you today. Click HERE to see a real easy way to make a colorful rainbow using this die from MFT....your going to LOVE this idea, I promise. It's a little time consuming but well worth it. All of the dies I used today are from MFT. I love the background paper, it adds a whimsical feel to this card. Inside Get Well card Inside Cut the rainbow off a little, glued it to the edge, added an embossed cloud & put a gold mat behind the main panel. Hello Peeps! Here is the birthday card that I made for Marc & I love how it turned out! I think it looked better in my mind but I have to say I think I did it justice...what do you think? The spiral didn't quite turn out the way I imagined & I cut a few of them out but couldn't get it just right & I wanted to do 2 spirals but couldn't get it to work the way I wanted so this is what I ended up with...not bad, I like it! I think Marc will like it. He won't get to see it till he returns home, he's on business in San Francisco next week & will be spending his birthday there. His birthday is Wednesday & I sure hope he gets to connect with one of his best friends from high school (who now lives in San Francisco)while he's out there. The sentiment on the front is computer generated & the Golf sentiment inside is a Digi from Create with TLC. I also used some golf stamps from TAC & Stamping Bella. Talk to you again soon. When I saw the sketch at Create with Connie & Mary, I immediately had the idea for this card. I have been struggling with my mojo so to even had an idea for a card was a HUGE plus. I have spent the past few days just reorganizing my scraps and looking around my room in hopes of recapturing my creativity. It's not totally back, but I made a card at least! Howdy! Finally checking back in with a little stamping. I've had this card on my desk for a few days and never really got it to work out. I finally gave up today, but wanted to share it anyway. Her legs and arms just want to keep moving and she is waking herself up a lot. I hope it settles down fast because not even Starbucks can keep me going much longer! My mom wanted me to be sure to thank all of you who sent cards her way. She received 7 of them on Saturday. They came at the perfect time too. She got them as she was on the way to granny's to help clean up the house. When things got overwhelming and she needed a break, she went out to the car and opened them all and read them. She was so touched by your kindness and thoughtfulness. I don't think they went by the post office today and she has no idea that even more are coming. So thank you. And thank you to those who sent cards to me too. I got several in the mail today and was very surprised.

Hi everyone! First I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jessica!!! My baby turns 28 today! I love you sweetheart, see ya tomorrow! Jessica & I are spending the day shopping for baby gifts for her friend Danielle, baby shower is in 2 weeks & we both need to get things done, bought & wrapped! I need to get some baby projects made that I want to give her & I sure hope that what I have in mind will come out right! She doesn't want to know the sex so that makes it a little harder but workable, I need to get some neutral ink like green & yellow that will go on fabric, if I can't find it tomorrow I will have to order it. Okay enough of that, I worked on 50 wedding thank you cards this week for my very first customer...and I was having a ball! It was a very simple but elegant design so that made it easy to do, I love how it all came out. Hope you like it. This is a scheduled post that I wrote & set up before I left home, so the wedding was yesterday & now I can share pictures of the invitations & thank you cards I made for Kim & Jack. Then I will be sharing all the other sample invitations that got rejected. I made quite a few samples for them to pick from & told them that if they like something on one card & something from another then we could incorporate those elements into their invitations & make it work & that’s exactly what they did & they came out beautiful if I do say so myself!!! I totally enjoyed making these for them. I got my inspiration for this card design from my good friend Corinne (thanks so much Corinne for always inspiring me) with this card & this card . Good Monday mornin' Peeps! Are you ready for the start of a whole new week...I am! So, lets get started shall we. Today's cards are all using the MFT Rainbow die , I finally got to use it after purchasing it about a year ago. I made 7 rainbows (so watch for more rainbow cards) I have 3 of them for you today. Click HERE to see a real easy way to make a colorful rainbow using this die from MFT....your going to LOVE this idea, I promise. It's a little time consuming but well worth it. All of the dies I used today are from MFT. I love the background paper, it adds a whimsical feel to this card. Inside Get Well card Inside Cut the rainbow off a little, glued it to the edge, added an embossed cloud & put a gold mat behind the main panel. Hi everyone!!! Well as promised I was able to take pictures this morning & had time to post so here is my project. I luv it & I luv how it all turned out!!! Nothing like tooting your own horn hah? I had so much fun making this card & it was really easy! Now I got the written tutorial (click here) from Diana Gibbs about a week ago & put that aside on my craft table to do when I had time. Dawn ended up making a video tutorial yesterday on how to put one together & I needed a birthday card for Saturday so I had this idea in my head after viewing her video & it all came together! I made mine a little larger so that it would fit into a business size envelope, I didn't have any open ended envelopes (have to get some) & I also used nesties on mine instead of the circle punch. I luv, luv, luv it!!! It will be off to the post office later to mail this beauty & I know she's going to luv it, I'm sure that I'll be getting a phone call after she opens it! Well Hubby & I along with Marc & Sarah will be going to MGM Grand in Connecticut tonight to see Frank Caliendo the comedian. Should be lots of fun!!!! Take care & have a great weekend! Good morning peeps! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with family & friends, I know we sure did! I had an order from one of my daughters clients, she asked me to make her a few post-it note holders to give to her nieces a few days before Christmas & she wanted a wine glass or something like that on it...so I came up with these two images & I didn't know what color she wanted so I gave her 3 different colors & 2 different glass drinks to choose from & she loved them! Another client bought 1 of the ones that was leftover, so I think I have 2 left for my stash (I'll find out about that when I go to the salon). I have to say I did very well selling my creations at the salon & I need to thank Missy (salon owner) for letting me & other vendors sell our wares there...Thank you so much Missy, I appreciate it so very much! I put some crystal effects on it so it would look more like a glass. I love that stuff! Thanks for joining me today; you know how much I love your company!

Hi there Peeps! Well it's 4:10 PM & I have not heard anything yet. Sarah was scheduled for a c-section sometime between 3:30 - 4 PM...this has been the loooongest day on record for me! Good morning peeps! Well I hope you all had a fabulous week, I sure did. I decided I wanted a mini notebook to keep in my purse to jot things down that I will be experiencing on my vacation & I don't want to forget one minute of this awesome vacation we have planned in Hawaii. My intention is to make one of those smash books when I get back home (I haven't tried that yet) & this journal will help me remember everything. I also want to make a digital book with some of the pictures I'll be taking. I'll be taking lots of pictures & videos. I'll post some for you to see everyday if I have a good Internet connection, I will post on my Facebook page so look for it there. Not sure how often I will have a chance to post on my blog but I will try to schedule posts in advance (before I leave) with the wedding invitations after the day of the wedding. My vacation journal We all have tons of passwords, user names, log ins, etc. that you need a way to keep them all organized, this is what I did last week to help me do just that & so far it's working out just great for me. Give it a try...I swear it will make your life less stressful. Have fun. I used the Gina K Design stamp set called "Organize it", I love this set...there are so many things you can do with this set. inside...I made the cover wider to accommodate the tabs so I could keep everything organized.
