Gin cocktails from the 1920s prohibition era. Even though there are swell drinks to turn the shop into a speakeasy for my book signing, it has to be gin!

This is an original 1965 advertisement for Seagram's 7 Crown blended American whiskey. It is an ORIGINAL ad from a 1965 men's interest magazine, cut to fit this frame. The size is approximately 9" x 12," and the MFD wood frame has lightweight plexiglass. Seagram's was officially founded in 1928 in Canada and was exported to the U.S. from its Montreal headquarters. Even back then, the Seagram’s 7 legacy was cementing itself as stronger in the States than in Canada, with consumer preferences for blended whiskey sweeping the country through the 1950s. Seagram’s is synonymous with ‘70s drinking culture in the U.S., and it’s true that the brand may never again reach the level of popularity it once did. It was the best-selling blended whiskey brand in the country during a decade when blended whiskey was all the rage. Now, it’s often perceived as a brand that went downhill shortly after its era of fame — likely a result of greater variety and higher-quality whiskeys entering the market. Nevertheless, Seagram's remains the sixth most popular American whiskey in the world, racking up 1.9 million cases in global sales in 2021. Seven Crown was extremely popular in the 1970s, but later saw a drop off in the 80s and 90s when trends shifted to other spirits. It is a light and mild whiskey that is a great mixer, but is much less popular as a standalone sipping whiskey like Jack Daniel's or Jim Beam. The signature drink for Seven Crown is the "7 and 7"--7-up and 7-Crown. Note: This ad has been cut to fit a 9" x 12" frame. These ads look quite a bit larger than my normal 8" x 10" ads, and they are really beautiful. They cost just a little bit more to cover the increased cost in frames and associated material.
