A long-handled saucepan made of a bilaminate of thick copper plate, ensuring perfect heat conduction, encased in a thin layer of stainless steel that ensures maximum hygiene and facilitates cleaning without affecting the copper's excellent temperature conduction properties. This saucepan pan is perfect for braising and stewing, especially for smaller cuts of food, as well as for preparing sauces or gravies that don't require mixing or which are cooked while covered, as with bolognese sauce. The project "La Cintura di Orione" is dedicated to the "private gourmet", namely those enthusiasts of intelligent and creative cooking. Most pieces of the La Cintura collection are produced in special dual lamina (outside extra thick copper + inside in 18/10 mirror polished stainless steel), which offers a more professional performance and allows the advantages of copper as far as conduction and homogeneous distribution of heat are concerned. These features are paired with extremely hygienic stainless steel inside. Born in Munich in 1932, Richard Sapper studied philosophy, anatomy, graphics, engineering and economics. 9090 is the first espresso coffee maker in Alessi's history, but also the first of several Compasso d'Oro awards and the first Alessi item exhibited at the MOMA in New York. "I wanted to give this machinery the features that others do not have." With these words Richard Sapper described the idea from which he started. 9090 is original not only for its special shape but also for some functional innovations such as the enlarged base that allows to maximize heat, the anti-drip spout and the lever lock that allow one to open the coffee pot with a simple gesture of the hand.
