This legendary, epyphitic, leafless orchid (Dendrophylax lindenii) from south Florida was the star of a book (Orchid Thief) & movie (Adaptations) some years ago. Although I have seen a bunch of the plants hiking in the Fakahatchee Strand State Preserve over the years, this photo was taken of a cultivated plant grown by a friend.
