Hi Friends, I was recently chosen by my Stampin' UP! up line, Patty Bennett, to be a sample maker for our Luv 2 Stamp group using the Playful Pals Stamp Set & the Pyramid Pals Thinlits Dies set. (Bundle Set is 15% off, item # 141069) These can be found on page 44 & 45 of the Occasions Catalog. At first I was a little flustered and was not sure how I could make 6 different samples using the same set as I wanted each to be a little different. Once I began playing with the set though I became addicted to them. My Fairy Land Stampers team of demonstrators helped me brainstorm a little and the rest was history. Today I am sharing with you 3 sets of Pyramids I made with the fascinating set and then on Thursday I will be back with 3 other samples along with a fun announcement. This first set of pals I used both the stamp set as well as the die set to create 2 Wild Animals! Mr. Giraffe and Mr. Zebra were made using the "Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack" which can be found in the annual catalog page 144 (Item # 138441) You can never go wrong with birthday party favors so I decided to use just the pyramid box framelit for these adorable party treats. The backs of the pyramids open so candy can be tucked inside. I have used the following items from the Occasions Catalog to create these. Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper (Item# 140655), Pool Party 3/8" Glitter Ribbon (Item # 140561 - Love this stuff!!), The Large Numbers Framelit Dies for the banner cut out (Item# 140622), and lastly the sentiment set actually came from a sentiment set in the Annual Catalog called " Something to Say" It is a great go to set to have in your stamp collection. Lastly I think this is the my favorite of the 3 pyramid sets here. This one is "Just For YOU!" I want to thank everyone of my readers for all of your support in helping me grow my business. Without readers, and shoppers of course, I would not be where I am at today. The support means the world to me. I wish I could meet each and everyone of you in person and stamp with each of you. For this set I have focused on the RETIRING IN COLORS.... These will only be available until May 31st and then will be retired. They are WHILE SUPPLIES LAST and like previous years the inks and especially the ink refills will sell out first so if you have not gotten them don't forget to add them to your next order. I have used the amazing Balloon Celebration Stamp Set along with the coordinating Balloon Bouquet punch (Bundle is available for 15% when purchased together, item #140810) I have used some Stampin' Dimensionals (Item# 104430) and Basic Black Bakers Twine (Item # 134576) and a couple Mini Glue Dots (Item # 103683) at the bottom to hold the balloon stings taught. For the sentiment I have used the Hostess set called "Floral Wings" which can be earned by being a hostess or by having a $150+ order online and choosing it with your hostess rewards. (Item# 139169). I stamped the sentiment and die cut it out using the Bitty Banner Framelits (Item#129267) Thank you for stopping by today...Check back with me on Thursday for the rest of my Sample Maker projects.

Welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls. This week we are featuring on the Pyramid Pals framelits and matching Playful Pals stamp set. When I first saw these in the catalogue I just fell instantly in love. The cute little animals made with them are so darned cute. But because I have seen lots of cute little animals on Pinterest made with these, I wanted to do something different. Plus when I think of the pyramid shape, one of the first things I think of after the Pyramids of Egypt, is an Indian Teepee. So that's what I decided to make. I hope it looks like a Teepee. Do you like the cute little bear inside? I also decided to make a card to go with this little teepee. I carried over the teepees onto this card. The large teepee is one of the sides from the framelits, and the smaller ones are from the small triangle in the packet. The lake on the card is made from stamping the waves in the Playful Pals stamp set a couple of times. And the poles at the top of the large teepee is a foot stamp from that set as well. I hope you like what I made. Now it is time to see what the other ladies have made. Leonie Shroder Libby Dyson Thanks for dropping by. Have a great day and keep on stamping. Happy Saturday! Yay me! I FINALLY set aside the "should" tasks and hit my Craft Cave for some much needed playing! I can't tell you how good it felt to just create without any particular goal, timeline or mission. I grabbed a stamp set and went to it. I now have a new addiction. I introduce you to …Pyramid Pals … Freaking LOVE them!!! Seriously! I needed to put the set away or I'd STILL be making them *lol*. They are made using an all new set and framelit bundle (released Jan 5th) called Pyramid Pals. (the stamp set is called Playful Pals). I wasn't sure I'd get this set originally as it does carry a "make sure you love it" price-point. The bundle comes in at $73 Canadian, pre s/h/gst. Once I saw the cute samples, however, I was 75% convinced … and THEN, when I realized I would earn a free Sale-a-bration item with it … well … it was a done deal. Am I glad I got it? Ummmm … guess! These little pyramid boxes are just that - little boxes which you can put little treats in. They are quite tiny … fitting in the palm of your hand and measuring just 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" x 2 1/2". They could hold one or two mini chocolate bars, some Hersheys Kisses, one or two tea bags … just a little something. For adhesive I would recommend Fast Fuse or Tear n Tape. Snail doesn't hold for long and your box will pop open after a few hours. I also loved using my multipurpose and/or fine tip glue pens for the ears and tails. Seriously, Once you make one you just can't stop! Which is your favourite?? I honestly can't decide! Love them ALL! SUPER love them all for different reasons! The polar bear is the quickest. The pig has glitter. The dog has character. The zebra … well … he was my most original critter as I realized I could use the awesome "Go Wild" designer series paper stack. I still want to make a leopard, tiger and giraffe using that same paper … but I had to "step away" from these little cuties to stretch my back! Do I love these? Yes I do. Do you "need" the bundle? Perhaps not. Do you want it? YES! Will you be glad you got it? ABSOLUTELY! If you are in the Edmonton area and free this Friday night pop over for my Open House and New Catalogue Launch. You can see my critters up close … and "maybe" we will even be making one! I encourage you to "Like", "Follow" and "Get Notifications" on my business Facebook page "Tamara's Paper Trail" to stay in the loop. I always post projects, promotions and classes there before I do here. Pop in again soon … I made more than just critters last night and will post those projects shortly. Until then - have a stampy day! Tam

Hello there! Happy April to you~even if it doesn't look very happy out there:( This is the Hostess gift I made this month using the Playful Pals/Pyramid Pals Bundle. I started with Whisper White Thick Cardstock and made the pyramid. I don't feel the need to use it for card bases, but it works great for 3-D projects. I used all the small circular dies included to make the spots out of Basic Black Cardstock. I used the Simply Scored to made fold lines and adhered to the box using Liquid Tombow. I used Basic Black Archival ink for the face, tail & bow. I used Real Red Cardstock for the bow and sentiment which is from Hot Diggity Dog. I used the dies included to cut out the face and ears and attached with Dimensionals. I used a Q`Tip with Pink Pirouette ink for her cheeks. The bone is from Hot Diggity Dog as well and I used Basic Black & Real Red Markers. I cut it out with a 3/4" Circle Punch and attached it with a Dimensional. I attached the tail to the bottom of the box with Liquid Tombow and folded it at an angle so it would show up a little better. When assembling the box, I used Liquid Tombow on the tabs for the front and SNAIL on the back so it would be a little easier to get into the chocolate inside:) I think my Hostess had mixed feelings about finding this little friend in her bag. Her granddaugher LOVES all things dog, so I may have done some enabling;) Now I'm off to break open this month's Paper Pumpkin:) I'll be back soon with lots to share. Thanks so much for stopping by!
A trifecta of triangle quilts + tutorial! (Tutorial at the end of this post.) Jaime, Emily and I adore Denyse Schmidt's fabrics-- and when we saw this Pyramid quilt made from her Chicopee line, we were all three smitten. We had to make it for ourselves! We each cut 3/8 yard of all 26 prints, giving us 5 triangles from each print--enough to make a queen sized quilt top! Jaime's Quilt Jaime made a queen sized quilt, and tried her darnedest to be random with the patchwork. It turned out perfectly random and is beautiful! Emily took a different approach for her queen sized pyramid quilt, and planned out a repeating pattern which created a soft rainbow effect in her patchwork. In order have the right number of certain colors she had to make some triangle trades with Jaime and I. I love the effect of the organized groups of colors! I went a little smaller with my quilt, wanting a cozy couch quilt. It's 60" x 90", long enough to stretch out under for naps, or wide enough for a two person lap quilt. Jaime's Rainbow Patchwork Back | Amber's Bright Floral Back | Emily's Patchworky Stripe Back We each chose our own adventure for our quilt backs! Jaime used her Chicopee scraps to make a stripey rainbow, which she then patchworked with some of her favorite tiny gothic Japanese florals. I was inspired by antique crazy quilts I've seen from the early 1900s, many of which have big, wild florals backing them. I chose an acid yellow rose print from Bari J. and I love it! Emily chose a yarn-dyed Essex linen cotton for most of her quilt back, but inserted a colorful strip of patchwork down the center. Basic Pyramid Patchwork Tutorial To make a queen sized quilt top you will need: 3/8 yd each of 26 prints Cutting mat Rotary cutter clear ruler with 60o marking sewing machine and thread With a rotary cutter and ruler, cut all your fabric pieces to 12" strips, selvedge to selvedge. Take one strip and, using your ruler, cut the end of the strip off at 60o. Rotate your ruler to the other side and finish cutting one triangle by cutting again at 60o. Save your half triangles from the ends. Repeat cutting for remaining triangles and remaining strips. Place 2 triangles right sides together and seam along one edge at with 1/4" seam allowance. Press open. Place next triangle right sides together with last triangle, letting the point extend past the edge of the triangle below as much as the previous triangle point's seam allowance. Seam and press. Continue until you have 13 triangles sewn together. Seam one half-triangle to each end of your strip. Repeat until you have 9 strips of triangles. Lay your strips out to decide what order to piece them together in. Seam strips together. Tada! You have a totally hot quilt top!

I just love "Punch Art", your creativity can just run wild! And today I have found another version of Punch Art with the Playful Pals Stamp and Framelit set This bundle is available on January 5th - I was a bit overwhelmed at first, there are 50 stamps and 18 framelit dies in the bundle, so where to begin. For some reason the frog legs jumped out at me - no pun intended! I stamped and cut the legs eyes, fussy cut the body. I started just moving the pieces around on my desk, and before I knew it I had crated my adorable little frog, I just love those big eyes! - but he needed something else.... a lily pad, I stamped the "solid" body stamp then fussy cut. The sentiment and sun are a Sale-A-Bration stamp set, also available January 5th. Challenge 217 at Freshly Made Sketches gave me inspiration for my layout.
