This is a very sweet story, and is a rather nice 1st edition hardcover to boot. The book dates to 1956, and was printed in Great Britain by Chromoworks Limited of London. The title is "Pushti," and the author is Kathleen Nixon. Frederick Warne & Company is the publisher. There is a pencil inscription from December 1956 on the front flyleaf. Pushti is a blue-eyed Siamese kitten, who loves "playing hide and seek amongst the leaves" and who also loves adventure, and seeing the "Big World"! Pushti's brother and sister are named O-me and O-my. Their mother is My Sing. Tan cloth-covered boards, with blue and brown titling and cover illustration. Binding and hinges sound. Some discoloration to pictorial endpapers. Interior pages have good coloring, and just an occasional stain. No annotations, tears, or losses. Overall a very good copy. This book would make a wonderful addition to your vintage book collection, or would be a perfect present for someone with a cat or kitten! Free local pickup is available in Geneva, IL.
