Seguimos uno por arriba, otro por detras......lo mas facil para pasarel hilo ya que gruesito es ir ayudandose con una aguja de tejer para levantar la urdimbre Seguimos todo de la misma forma.. Como ya les mencione que no sabia si me iba alcanzar el hilo para realizar todo el bolso lo que fui haciendo es ir tomando la medida de cuantas vueltas queria yo que tuviera cada color e ir cortandolo al hilo, ademas para que pueda pasar ya que al no tener la herramienta correspondiente que traen los telares para pasar el hilo entre vuelta y vuelta se difuculta cuando hay que volver de la vuelta que hemos dado, ya que si termina por arriba al volver hay venir por abajo y si temos toda la madeja armada no se va a poder seguir ya que se nos va a enrredar en la urdimbre.......espero poder haber sido clara... El hilo que medi queda asi una vez pasado...siempre recordando que realizo un extremo y el otro a la vez del telar por si me llagera a faltar hilo seria mas facil completarlo ya que no se si conseguire el mismo color debido a que muchas mujers llevan este hilo para tejerlo... Asi va quedando acuerdense que yo a medida que lo voy realizando voy ajustando hacia los extremos para que la trama quede mas ajustada asi no se habren los hilos y no hay necesidad de forrarlo por dentro una vez terminado...

Obviously I couldn't wait to try the technique myself... so here's how to weave pibiones (the word, in Sardinian dialect, means grape) Warp and weft are the same, while the extra weft is thicker. I think I like best the monochrome version, where the design resulting from the contrast between plain weave and the little grapes is not so obvious. The diameter of the stick goes according to the thickness of the weft - just like knitting. Normally the stick is made of metal, but at that moment I only had a wooden needle available! Step 1 :: according to your design, count the warp threads and wrap the extra weft on the stick. This is a bit tricky, as the tension of the extra weft on the stick has to be even in order to get pibiones of the same size, but it only takes a bit of practice. Step 2 :: once you finish a row, secure it with a pick of plain weave (here traditionally there would be 3 picks of plain weave between one row and the other). Leave the needle in place. Step 3 :: remove the needle and get ready for another row, following your design!
