Hi! Yup, it's another upcycled project from the stuff most people will throw into the trash can. Recently I saw a lovely project done by my blog friend - Creative Mind. Inspired by Khadija's project, I created this rotatable layered storage box. Interested? Well, then scroll down for the step by step instruction... Step 1 - Cut the tube into layers. I have mine in 3cm, 3.5cm, 4cm, 5cm and the bottom is about 6cm Step 2 - Make a base for each rings (except the bottom one) out of cardboard. Step 3 - Glue the base on all the ring. and wrap them with any paper as you wish. I used some pages from the old yellow page. Step 4 - Cut straws according to the height of each layer. Step 5 - Wrap the straw with the same wrapper and glue it onto the layer. Step 6 - Use a chopstick...balloon stick..I used a part of a broken hanger here and slide it into all the little straw tube you have glue onto the side of the tube. There you have it! A rotatable layered storage box... Step 7 - Decorate as you prefer. I cut of some brown paper for labeling purpose... but yet to decide should I use it as a jewellery box or for my sewing stuffs... What do you think? How would you make use of this layered box? Happy Trying! Love PC Sharing this with >

Alright - you'll have to give me a bit of a break on not posting the last month or two. It is back to school time and I'm a teacher after all! We have been back in school for a whole month now, and I think I can spare a moment to blog. :) Here are a few little projects I did for back to school: This is a brownie points pan that I found on Pinterest (I think - where else do I find stuff?!). I printed some cute little brownies on cardstock and then laminated them. Once the kids get a full pan of brownies by getting complements from other faculty and staff, I will make them brownies and bring them in to share! This is the beginnings of my transportation display. I took all three of these circles and mounted them on one long piece of super cute ribbon. I wish I had taken a classroom shot of the finished product for you. Then I have clothes pins with all the kids names on them. I can keep track of who goes where - carpool, bus, or day care. This one I know came from Pinterest - click here to see my inspiration. This one came from Pinterest, too. Big surprise right?! I used a pringles can, but I had to look hard and get the smaller one. Now they are making them longer, which didn't work for what I wanted. The gal on pinterest used them for teacher gifts - see that here - but I wanted to use mine to store pencils in the classroom. The students lose tons of pencils and this is where I store the new ones! It turned out cute! The kids love it. :) Ok - well that is all for now! I have one other project to post about, but it will have to be another day. :) Thanks for stopping by! Cynthia

Snowmen are my favorite!! You can't look at a snowman and not smile!! These snowmen were so fun and easy to make! I just drew a snowman face and then photocopied them. I added the little orange to the carrot and red to the checks by hand so I didn't have to pay for color copies. For the hat you just hot glue or stitch a tube and then tie one end with yarn. We tore the fabric into one inch strips for the scarves. It would be really cute to use real buttons, but that wasn't in our budget The snowmen looked so cute all together on the table and everyone loved taking a cute snowman home and eating the Pringle chips!! We also had a Hershey bar made into a snowman for them to take home. We made them just the same as the Pringles cans We gave them water bottles with "MELTED SNOWMAN" water bottle labels on. If you search "snowman water bottle labels" on Pinterest there are a lot of great printables for the water bottles. You won't go wrong decorating with Snowmen!!
