Hi everyone, I am playing along this week with the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. The challenge is to follow the sketch below while keeping the project clean-lined and fresh. I decided to use a black and white theme with a touch of colour in the Cork Specialty Paper. The flowers were created using the Pierced Blooms Dies, with the sentiment from the Art Gallery stamp set which I white heat embossed and die cut with the matching Floral Gallery Dies. The Cork Specialty Paper was cut using the Layering Circle Dies. I embossed the Whisper White piece on the Basic Black mat with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. The Designer Series Paper is from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper Pack. Hope you enjoy this project. Thank you for visiting. This is the card I made for this week’s sketch challenge. Those pretty flowers were cut using the Pierced Blooms Dies. I love how they turned out.
A friend who is a fan of all things pink and sparkly had their 40th Birthday recently. With the new Annual Catalogue providing another pink in this year’s In Colors. I had plenty of pinks to choose from. My colour combination is Polished Pink, Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo and the project is version of […]
Happy Friday! As promised in yesterday’s post, I’ve re-created the card from Georgia and created a PDF tutorial. My past several posts have included a series of “firsts” for me. Mini Slimline cards have become a welcome addition to my card making menu and today is my first 5″ x 7″ card. This card is […]
Hello! I'm so glad that you stopped by today. I have a card using the new Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper. I thought that this paper paired well with the Pierced Blooms dies. My card for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. We are using the colors Flirty...
I mentioned in my post yesterday that I got to do a video for the offical Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Facebook Page that has over 36,000 members. I was asked to highlight the Stampin' Up!® Designer Series Paper as there is a 15% off sale some of the papers this month! Check the all out HERE. Here are some simple cards I made using the Designer Series Paper as well as some stepped up versions. All the papers are using the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper. It is such stunning paper as it has these gorgeous bold colours and also the more subdued side of the paper too. I have used the more subtle paper inside the card. Did you know when you cut down your 12" x 12" Paper you end up with 72 card front pieces??? 72! That could potentially make a minimum of 72 cards or even more if you cut the paper in half or even smaller. JOIN OUR #LOVEITCHOPIT GROUP HERE FOR MORE IDEAS ON HOW TO USE DESIGNER SERIES PAPER Check out my #loveitchopit video HERE Here are the cards for you! This one is super simple - just added a ribbon and a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp set. Here is the stepped up version of this card - I have used the Forever Gold Laser Cut Foil paper for this one and used White Emboss for the sentiment with the Tailored Tag Punch. That gorgeous Forever Greenery Ribbon softens the look and the Artistry Blooms Sequins just finish off this stunning card perfectly. Here is an idea that I shared - when you chop down your Designer Series Paper you are going to have LOTS of paper - why not dress up the inside? Here is another simple one like the Melon Mambo one at the start. Just the Paper and a sentiment. What a great card for those men in our lives. Here is the stepped up version - again with some of the Forever Gold Laser cut Paper behind the sentiment. Amazing, and yet, still so simple to do. And lastly this gorgeous paper is shown off with this #simplestamping card. I am so happy with these #loveitchopit cards! So simple and easy! Using Designer Series Paper is a great way to start card making, if you don't have mojo, or need some bulk cards in a flash. They are also very affordable to make with most of these cards costing less than $2 to make if you have the ink and stamp set already. No one would ever know that these are less than $2! One of my favourite products from the January – June 2020 Stampin’ Up! Catalogue is the Pierced Blooms Dies. Fun Fold Friday with this Forget Me Not Flower Pot using the Pierced Blooms Dies. There are a lot of different ways to make a "Flower Pot" card, but I used Julie Davison's measurements to create today's card. The star to this card are the Pierced Blooms Dies. I just love the shapes and details to these flowers. You could substitute any flower die or punch you have and change up the colors to whatever you like. Pierced Blooms Dies https://www.stampinup.com/products/pierced-blooms-dies?demoid=2130375 I left this card blank so it could be used for anything, but this would make one great Mother's Day Card. Just pull out the flowers and write a message inside. You can create this card too when you order from my online store and follow the steps below. Supplies Pierced Blooms Dies Just Jade Gingham Ribbon (Flowers For Every Season Combo Pack) Scalloped Edge (Scalloped Contour Dies) Crumb Cake Cardstock Pacific Point Cardstock Basic White Cardstock Daffodil Delight Cardstock Shaded Spruce Cardstock Black Matte Dots Always Recommended Paper Snips Trimmer Simply Shammy Die Cutting Machine Bone Folder Adhesives Measurements Crumb Cake Flower Pot: 3 1/2 x 9 scored @ 3 1/2 x 7 Crumb Cake: 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 Basic White: 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 Template (any color): 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 Steps Measure, score, and cut your paper. Create your pot template by taking the 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of cardstock and marking the bottom on each side at 1/2 mark. Put in your paper trimmer and cut from the mark to the top corner (on both sides). Die cut all of your flower pieces: 5 Pacific Point flowers, 5 Daffodil mini flower centers, 3 Spruce leaves. Attach the yellow centers to the blue flowers and curl the petals with your bone folder a little bit. Die cut the flower pot edge. Lay your template on the bottom of the pot and cut off each side (see video). Use ribbon to keep the pot closed. No adhesive needed. Glue your White to your Crumb Cake and attach the flowers and leaves with glue dots. But a Black Matte dot in the center of each card and you have yourself a pot of Forget Me Nots. Hello and Happy Sunday! Yes it's Sunday again and time for another challenge over on the Sunday Stamps Blog. Below is the beautiful photo to get your creative ideas flowing! I love the imagery of the florals, especially the Sunflowers and the early fall colors! The flowers helped inspire my card, you can see it below... I know September 1st isn't officially Fall but, that doesn't stop me from getting the Fall decor out and coloring everything different shades of Oranges, Golden Yellows and the like... I used the lovely Pierced Bloom Dies from SU. I let the beautiful DSP pack of Cupcakes & Carousels + Garden Impressions help me out with this card design. I have a rather large DSP collection (probably like most of us) and I should probably use it more! So glad you stopped by to take a look. Come back anytime! Stay crafty my friend, Melissa

Here's another card using a splatter stamp, this time a flower one. supplies: white, purple, Hero Arts Pool, Simon's Green Apple and Green Leaf cardstock, Lil Inker Perky Posies dies, Wplus9 Folk Art Florals leaf die, Your Next Stamp Mini Flower Splatter, broken china and wilted violet oxide inks, My Favorite Things All Occasion Sentiments and Blueprints 20 die, VersaFine Onyx Black ink, enamel dots and sequins to match Since I used warm colors on yesterday's splatter card, I thought I'd use cool ones this time. Violet and teal have become a go-to combination for me this year, and I like it here again. These splatter stamps are fun to play with - there are also ones that feature stars, bats, leaves, butterflies and plain old splatters! As always, thanks for coming by!
I am absolutely in love with the new Magnolia Mood bundle. With just a little color the flower is definitely a WOW image.
