Welcome to the latest edition of the Stamp Review Crew. This time we are playing with the pretty Petal Palette, which is not only a beautiful stamp set, but is part of a suite of items that are absolutely awesome! If you've been following the hop from the beginning, then you just landed here from Charlet's bog, Painted Orange. She always WOWs me; it's no wonder she's an Artisan Design Team member! My project today uses SIX(!) of the stamps in Petal Palette, as well as three of the coordinating Petals & More Thinlits. I think that's the most stamps I've ever used on one card! There was a little bit of fussy cutting involved, too, since one of the floral sprigs didn't have a matching Thinlit. A few days ago I discovered what fun it is to color on the glossy Springtime Foils Specialty DSP, part of the SAB 2nd Release. I remembered that I had a pack of Glossy White cardstock, so I used it for stamping and coloring the flowers. You really must try it - the colors flow on so smoothly, whether it's our Stampin' Blends, or Stampin' Write markers! The rose bunch inside was stamped in Smoky Slate, stamped off twice for a shadow effect, and I did cheat just a little with the inside sentiment from Thankful Thoughts. It seemed perfect for this card! Did you notice the "dew drops" on the rose petals? (If you zoom in you can see them.) Those are from the Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes. I knew that I wanted to color the beautiful cabbage roses from the Petal Palette stamp set in Cherry Cobbler so I colored the leaves with the Old Olive Stampin' Blends. The roses were cut out on the Big Shot using the matching framelits. I really loved how they looked. I added the textured behind them using the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder on a piece of Old Olive card stock and then cut it out on the Big Shot with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The sentiment comes from this stamp set as well.

Welcome to another fabulous Tour de Freaks! Our theme this month is anything from the new Occasions catalog or the Sale-A-Bration mini catalog. I had such a hard time choosing, but I decided on the Occasions catalog. You may have landed here from Flowerbug's Ink Spot, or maybe you're just starting here. Either way, we're happy you are here! Just click the buttons at the bottom of each blog to go on to the next stop on the tour. I made up my mind to focus on ONE suite, and if you know me, you know I am easily distracted by all the shiny squirrels in the new catalog! But I was very committed (or should be committed, LOL), so I chose the beautiful Petal Passion Suite. It includes the 15 piece Petal Palette stamp set (wood or clear mount) with the coordinating 10 piece Petals & More Thinlits dies, gorgeous black & white Petal Passion DSP, Petal Pair (2 pcs.) embossing folders, white organza ribbon, and Petal Passion metal embellishments. First up is a clean and simple card using one of the little floral images. I did cheat a little and used a greeting from A Good Day, because I wanted a smaller greeting than was available in Petal Palette. Next is a fun-to-color card! The bunch of roses is great to color, either with Stampin' Blends or, as I did here, with Blender Pens and ink pads. The matching die made it quick to cut out, and the embossing folder added some texture. For the third card, I wanted to highlight that stunning DSP! This time I did use Stampin' Blends, not only on the DSP, but also on the metal embellishment! The greeting tag is one of the dies in the set, too. Isn't the red with black & white a striking combination? My last card is a little more soft and Spring-like, and features the sweet bird and single flower images, as well as more die cuts. And, I couldn't resist coloring more embellishments with those Stampin' Blends! That's all I have for you today. I'm so glad you stopped by, and hope you got some good ideas for using this suite! Van 4 december 2017 tot 2 januari 2018 tel ik hier op het blog 30 dagen af naar de nieuwe voorjaarscatalogus en de Sale-a-Bration! Tel je met me mee!? Iedere dag een leuk idee met één of meerdere nieuwe producten uit deze nieuwe catalogi! 30 dagen omdat Stampin' Up! 30 jaar bestaat in 2018! ***** Nog 25 dagen te gaan... Ik vind de kant en klare Notecards met Enveloppe altijd zo heerlijk om mee te werken! Ook weer voor dit kaartje gedaan dus... Ik sneed deze keer wel een kleiner kaart uit om te embossen met een nieuwe embossingmal! Het is een setje van 2 embossingmallen, op de andere zit een mooie bloem, die gaan jullie binnenkort nog zien... Qua stempels gebruikte ik weer de leuke set 'In de bloemetjes zetten'. De banner met tekst komt uit de bijpassende dies.
