Caverna Lascaux - Tais luso de Carvalho Tudo nos primeiros caminhos do homem, acaba se evaporando em conjeturas e suposições, pois não havia escrita. Não havia como relatar. Sempre há um pouco de divergências nas pesquisas. Os registros quanto à dança e a música se perderam no tempo. O que restou foram desenhos nas paredes das cavernas e partes do que poderiam ser instrumentos rudimentares, tais como flautas de bambu e ossos, e também tambores. O período Paleolítico é o mais antigo da história da arte que se conhece. Inicia-se com a Arte Rupestre: figuras de cervos, bisontes, cavalos, mamutes e outros animais. Caverna de Altamira / Bisonte O período Paleolítico inferior - fase mais antiga - pode ser datado de 500.000 a 30.000 antes de Cristo. E o Paleolítico superior, vai de 30.000 anos a 10.000, sendo que a inferior cobre 75% de todo o período. Analisando o esquema da divisão da História da Arte, vemos que os períodos históricos mudam quando há um acontecimento que provoca na humanidade uma mudança de ideias. A cada vez que muda o homem e suas reflexões, mudam também suas manifestações artísticas. Arte Pré-histórica : Período Paleolítico / idade da pedra lascada Período Neolítico / idade da pedra polida / mais no final: metais: cobre, estanho e bronze. O Paleolítico Superior, distanciado uns 50 mil anos da era histórica é que se encontram mais vestígios de manifestações artísticas, expressas de modos diversos, principalmente na decoração das paredes das cavernas que serviam como habitação, e que eram efetuadas por nômades - caçadores e pescadores -, que representavam, quase que exclusivamente, animais comestíveis. O uso de objetos de pedra levou os historiadores a denominar esse período de Idade da Pedra lascada (ou Paleolítico). Foi nesse período que o homem descobriu o fogo, de grande utilidade e conforto para os grupos humanos: deu-se aí, a descoberta da cerâmica. Vênus de Lespugue / França No período Paleolítico Superior é que vamos encontrar as primeiras manifestações escultóricas do homem. Seu principal utensílio é o machado de mão, de pedra lascada. Nessa época já começavam a aparecer estatuetas em marfim e osso, baixos-relevos em pedra, desenhos de incisão em ossos e pedras, objetos de adorno pessoal, decoração de armas e utensílios. O homem foi primeiro escultor, depois pintor, dada a maior capacidade de abstração exigida pela pintura. Nesses períodos aparecem figuras femininas talhadas em marfim, osso e pedra, apresentando formas volumosas, que estaria ligadas à símbolos ou ritos de fecundação. Vênus de Laussel / França Entre as esculturas mais conhecidas destacam-se as famosas Vênus de Lespugue, de Brassempouy, encontradas na França, de Villendorf (Áustria) e do baixo-relevo de Laussel (França), em que uma mulher ergue a mão num gesto ritual, uma espécie de chifre. No final deste período aparece a representação de animais tornando-se rara de figuras humanas. Nas cavernas de La Madeleine e Montespan foram descobertos frisos esculturados na pedra, figuras isoladas em osso e argila, cavalos, bisões, ursos e bois selvagens, surpreendentes pela técnica e realismo. A primeira e mais sensacional descoberta de pinturas pré-históricas foi feita por acaso em 1880 na caverna de Altamira, Espanha, por um fidalgo espanhol. Segundo os historiadores de arte, a caverna de Altamira representa 'a capela sistina da pré-história', tamanha é a riqueza e a variedade de pinturas ali encontradas. Ali ficaram desenhados coloridos bisões, cavalos e outros animais, em repouso e movimento. Em 1940 foram descobertas as cavernas de Montinac-Lascaux, na França. São de igual importância as primeiras citadas, apresentando um boi medindo cinco metros de comprimento. O homem aplicava a tinta com as mãos, espátulas, bastonetes ou pincéis rudimentares, quando não aplicava a técnica de pistolar (enchia a boca de tinta e soprava por um canudo de madeira ou osso). Numerosas silhuetas com mãos espalmadas, encontradas nas cavernas, foram feitas com esse processo. As tintas eram conseguidas com materiais minerais, argilas coloridas, gordura animal e vegetal, sangue do animal e excrementos de aves. A cor negra era obtida queimando osso e madeira. O pintor do Paleolítico era figurativo, reproduzia a imagem na sua verdade visual, não deformando, nem estilizando. Nas representações de animais, observava a lei da frontalidade, na qual os mesmos são vistos de perfil, e procurava desenhar de memória. Montes Akakus / Líbia O homem Paleolítico representava a caça ferida por flechas, fechada em cercados ou presa em armadilhas. Representava os animais que eram necessários à sua existência. No período Neolítico o homem deixa de ser nômade e torna-se sedentário. Inicia a agricultura, a criação de animais e constrói as primeiras aldeias, organiza suas relações sociais e muda sua consciência em relação à realidade. Começa a trabalhar esculturas em metais, adornos corporais, trabalha a pedra. Nesse período aparecem as primeiras concepções de vida e de morte. Surge a escrita, e com ela o homem passa a deixar registros organizados, entrando então no período que chamamos de 'História Antiga'. Em Lascaux Mais sobre as primeiras pinturas aqui...
