Happy Saturday My Blogger Friends! My blog post for today is Paper Pumpkin Saturday ........... And I would like to share an alternate project I created using the January Paper Pumpkin kit. Here's that project....... I'm just crazy about the way this birthday card turned out. I stamped the "Celebrate" from the set that came with the January Paper Pumpkin kit and used Flirty Flamingo ink to stamp that sentiment. I matted it with a Basic Black and Flirty Flamingo frame before adhering it down onto the bottom right corner of my card front. Next, I punched out two Whisper White and one Flirty Flamingo balloon from the 'Balloon Bouquet' Punch ....... And attached some 'Flirty Flamingo Baker's Twine' to the back of each balloon. All that was left to do was gather up each string and tie them together into a pretty Flirty Flamingo bow. I used that same 'Flirty Flamingo Baker's Twine' to add a pretty bow to the closure section of my card. And to finish this card off ....... I added one of the Whisper White panel that came with my kit to the inside of my card. I stamped my birthday sentiment from the 'Picture Perfect Birthday' set and tuck it into the center of my card. Here how pretty that panel turned out. I just think this is one of those special birthday cards...... That I will make more of soon. Thanks for joining me today! I'll be back tomorrow to share a Spot Light Sunday card with you ...... Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share. Keep Living Your Dream!

Hello stampin' friends!!! It's almost the weekend...who's excited?!? This momma is! My twins were originally scheduled to play in an out of town tournament this weekend, but due to the holiday weekend and lack of teams, it was canceled. This means we have a WHOLE weekend at home with no baseball games. Don't get me wrong...I love this time of year and love watching my boys play. But having an unexpected free weekend is kind of a treat, especially since it's along weekend. Before I get to today's cards, I promised I would fill you all in on our first annual Special Education track meet we had earlier this week. It was such a GREAT event! The kiddos all had so much fun! Seeing all of their smiles as they participated in each event was the BEST part of the day. We have a few bugs to work out for next year, but all in all, it couldn't have been more perfect for the kids! I am so very blessed to be a part of such an amazing team! Okay...on to today's cards! This month's Paper Pumpkin kit arrived last week and I finally had some time to sit down and create last night. Masculine cards are always a little bit more difficult for me to come up with, but Stampin' Up nailed it with this kit! The stamp set has so many great sentiments to create a manly card for any man in your life! I followed the kit directions for the first two cards. How great are these?!?! They went together in no time at all! The mountain and water pieces are stickers...so easy to attach! I stepped things up a bit for the next cards. I altered the layout of some of them and used my Layering Circles Framelits to add a little extra dimension to a couple others. There are so many possibilities with this kit! I love it! I made sure to order a refill for this kit because I know I will have many more masculine cards to create this year and this kit will be my go to! If you don't already subscribe to Paper Pumpkin, make sure you do before June 10th! June's kit will coordinate with amazing new Stampin' Up! products in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog...you won't want to miss it or any other kits to come come! I hope you have a fantastic day! Happy Stamping!

Good morning my Paper Pumpkin Peeps! Yesterday morning I opened my new Paper Pumpkin kit You are my anchor LIVE on facebook and it was such a fun adventure. I shared a word of encouragement based on Hebrews 10:23 Hebrews 10:23 New International Version (NIV) 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. CONFESSION Right before I did this video I was truly NOT that motivated to make it. I prayed. And the Lord ,who always shows Himself faithful came through speaking to me and EVEN confirming this word through the text of a friend from Mexico I met at church recently. In that moment everything changed. Video happened. 3,000 views later I've never done a video that has so many views on facebook. What fills my heart with joy is WHAT I actually shared on the video, His Word and His love. What a privilege to share such a message with 3,000+ people in one day. How did THAT happen? Only God knows. We sow the seed, He gives the growth. TESTIFY OF HIS LOVE If there is one thing I want to do with my stamping is encourage YOU in the Lord! Is testify of His love and be His voice to others. Join me in this Stampin'Up! adventure bringing the good news through your stamping! Click here to see more information. Today is the last day of the annual catalog. This is a very overwhelming time for me as we transition to new products and I'm getting the stare down from products I bought and haven't used yet. Arg! Each year I say I'll do better and each year is the same thing. But since I'm co-leading my daughter's troop next year, I am sure I can get some love from those girls with these products! While I'm still trying to figure out what I'll be doing with my retired supplies, I thought I'd get my Paper Pumpkin samples from the May 2018 Manly Moments posted so I can at least be caught up there! Stampers that subscribe with me receive an alternative project sheet with step by step instructions for these projects, tips and tricks for completing the original kit, and an opportunity to come to my house to make these projects using their kits and my additional supplies. They also get a card in the mail. While you can't get this full kit, you can join us for June to get the next kit. Even if you aren't local, you can sign up HERE. I take care of my out of town subscribers too! Just make sure you sign up by June 10th to get our great June kit. Here is the original project using this kit. The stamp set has sentiments for Father's Day, Birthday, Thank You, Anniversary, and more. Let's get on with the alternative samples, shall we? Gift Card Holder: Window Card: Please note, the layout was designed by Rachel Tessman and modified by me for Paper Pumpkin. Alternative Card Ideas: Scrapbook: Please note, the base of this book was designed by Ronda Wade and modified by me for Paper Pumpkin. Paper Pumpkin is an awesome way to express your creativity and I love that we had a masculine kit to use. My husband's Father's Day card, birthday card, and anniversary card all came from one kit!!! Sign up for Paper Pumpkin in June and get a kit that coordinates with a suite in our new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. Paper Pumpkin is a great program to try out over the summer as it gives you a kit in the mail to help your creative juices flow! The cost is $19.95 per month plus tax and includes a kit of pre-cut pieces, instructions, ink spots, and adhesive. The projects are usually cards but sometimes there are 3D or décor items. As a subscriber with me, you get a project sheet with at least 3 alternative ideas and invitations to free Paper Pumpkin Parties where you can bring your kit to assemble with other stamping friends and make those alternative projects. Make time for yourself and make room for your creativity to blossom with Paper Pumpkin! Sign up HERE! Order this bundle before the new catalog comes out. After June 1st, you can get them individually but not as a bundle. Have a craftastic day, Stacy
The July Paper Pumpkin Kit was a surprise with several hints. I love the colors and was able to make 25 alternative projects with the items in the kit. Paper Pumpkin just keeps getting better. I will be hosting a Paper Pumpkin event to make some of the alternative projects from the kit on August 4, 2018. If you are interested in attending, I have some extra kits. Just contact me. Don't forget, there is a 1/2 price special for first time subscribers this month until August 10, 2018. It is half off the first month. Sign Up at Paper Pumpkin. Use the code BLOOM0818. Select me as your demonstrator. Here are a few of the cards I have made. Happy Stampin' Karen Colburn
Happy Thursday, peeps! I made a Valentine's card today and I got my inspiration from this totally cute card made by my friend Dawn! You can see it here! I used the little friends from Bella and Friends for mine: I masked each critter and stamped the opposite one on the end of a piece of Whisper White cardstock, then drew in the grass with black and Gumball Green markers. The friends were colored with SU Blends, and the Real Red hearts were cut from the hearts die found in the Everyday Jars Framelits. I glued them together to form a little garland! I added a sentiment from this month's Paper Pumpkin, a stitched border (I used a piece of Crumb Cake cut with the Stitched Shapes square die, and trimmed the edges), a little washi tape embellishment and a wee gingham bow! Thanks for popping in today! Another snow day yesterday, and Cassidy decided she wanted to use her new pottery wheel!! Now this is something I've never done, so it was certainly a learning experience for both of us! Not quite sure exactly what it was we were making....but it needs to dry and be painted, so hopefully we'll be able to show it to you soon! Enjoy your day and be blessed! Hello Stampin’ Friends ~ I am excited to share not one but two really cute cards!! Since I missed you yesterday I thought I should share two cards with you :) I hope you had a chance to view …
As promised in yesterday's YouTube video (see below), here are pictures of all my Paper Pumpkin alternative projects I came up with. If you received the February 2018 kit, Wildflower Wishes, you may love some of these ideas. If you haven't received it, you should subscribe! Until March 31st, you can earn additional FREE products during Sale-A-Bration. See all the details below... Above, I basically used all the pieces from the kit. You got so many floral stickers, they were screaming to be put onto a card! The only additional product I used here were some Narrow Note Cards and Envelopes. Do you see the "hi"? You get lots of letters in the kit (that aren't used on the projects)... I talk more about that later. For now, here's a better look at that floral arrangement - maybe you caught a glimpse of my project on my Instagram feed yesterday. The next card also uses Note Cards & Envelopes, but these are the regular ones. I cut apart an envelope to get the floral background layer and the tag is from a past Paper Pumpkin kit. I used some scraps and the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. Here you can see how I cut apart one of the envelopes. Measuring from the bottom, I cut off 3". The bottom pocket was used for one project, pictured below, and the top piece is what I cut apart and used above. For this pocket card, I used the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper and Crushed Curry Ink & Paper to coordinate with the flower. To cut the notches for the gift card, I easily cut those with dies from the Lots to Love Box Framelits. I thought it would be fun to tuck a little stamping in behind the gift card area. A fun surprise for the recipient when the card is removed. This last card is probably my favourite. To get the leaf detail on the card base, I used one of the "garbage" pieces from punchouts from the kit as a stencil, grabbed a Sponge Dauber and sponged on some colour. On the left, I ran a piece of Garden Green Card Stock through the Big Shot using the newly released freebie from Sale-A-Bration - the Basket Weave Dynamic Texture Embossing Folder. You too can can get this folder for free (plus a stamp set) with any $120 order. It'll also be in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue. ;) To get the little basket, I punched a piece of Garden Green with the Pretty Label Punch, chopped it in half and cut off the bottom to make it flat, like a pot. You might be wondering how I got those "p's" to spell happy. Well, I run it down for you in my video, but here is a still shot of all the letters you get in the kit and some of my favourite words you can spell with them. To get the "p's", you just need to turn the "d" from friend upside down. ;) If you haven't checked out my video already, here it is: Before I go, I wanted to mention that until March 31, you can earn additional FREE products thanks to Sale-A-Bration. It really is the perfect time to give a Paper Pumpkiin subscription a try... or add to your already existing one. If you don't already have a demonstrator, I'd love for you to choose me - Steph VanDorp. If you choose to sign up for the 12-month subscription ($295), I highly suggest bumping up your order by $5 so that you could earn FIVE Sale-A-Bration freebies. That's in addition to saving $2/month on your subsciption AND $30 in Hostess Dollars! Purchase a subscription by clicking on the picture below. Once you get your code, add it to your Paper Pumpkin account BEFORE March 10th to get in on the special 5th Anniversary Paper Pumpkin & free gift! Until next time, stay crafty!
