During our recent weekly video where we explored ways to use the Flower Market die over designer paper, some of you asked about die cutting it with Shimmer Vellum. I'm happy to report that it's beautiful! If you'd like to see that video, click here. Isn't the Soft Succulent Shimmer Vellum just gorgeous when die cut with the Flower Market die!!? I overlayed it onto the background piece shown below, created with the Alcohol Ink background technique. See the Alcohol Ink video tutorial. Stampin' Up! Hey Crafty Friends!!! Today I am sharing 5 different cards all made using the same layout. In my last class the focus was on "getting back to stamping" because we had not meet since November and this layout was perfect for that group. I used 5 differents stamps sets, different DSP and inks to create five simple 3-panel cards. Everything was pre-cut for the class, they just had to choose their card kit and get to work. Hi Friends, My last Stampin' Up! order included Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper, and I've been using it a LOT. The designs and colors are so beautiful! This fold is called a spanner card and it's perfect to show off some of these gorgeous papers. There's a hidden message under the spanner - how fun! The third layer can be stamped or left blank for your own message. I used Blackberry Bliss for the cardbase and Fresh Freesia for the sentiment panel. I fussy-cut the pansy but if that's not your thing, there are dies that will cut it from the designer paper for you! Hi Everyone, Today, I am hopping with the Ink Stamp Share group and showcasing products from the new Stampin' Up! annul catalogue. I've chosen the Pansy Petals Suite because it's my favourite and my inspiration comes from a card I saw on Mixed Up Crafts with Sam Calcott, check out her YouTube channel and blog, she is a very talented crafter. Materials 1 piece of blackberry bliss card stock 7" x 6", 3 pieces 3" x 6" 4 pieces of fresh freesia card stock 2 3/4" x 5 3/4", 4 pieces 1 3/4" x 5 3/4" 4 pieces of dsp 2 1/2" x 5 1/2", 4 pieces 1 1/2" x 5 1/2", 3 flowers and leaves from the dsp sheets 2 pieces of basic white approx 2 1/2" x 3 1/3" for the rectangles Scraps of evening evergreen, fresh freesia and basic white for the die cuts Blackberry bliss ink Stampin Cut and Emboss machine Stitched So Sweetly dies Pansy dies Pansy Patch stamp set Trimmer Simply scored Bone folder Multipurpose adhesive Dimensionals Instructions On the long side, score the largest piece of blackberry bliss at 1", 2", 3" and 4" and fold and burnish all the score lines. These score lines will fold around to form the square tube in the centre of the card, adhere in place. Each of the three other blackberry bliss pieces form the other fins and need to be adhered around the central tube (see picture). Adhere all the mat layers, all the way around and then the dsp layers, leaving equal borders on all sides. Die cut 2 stitched scalloped rectangles from the basic white card and 2 stems and the buds from the coloured card. You can die cut the flowers and leaves from the dsp or fussy cut them with your paper snips, whichever you prefer. Stamp your sentiments on both of the rectangles and then adhere them to opposite sides of the card, one front and one back to write your message. Then decorate the plainer panels with cut out flowers as shown in the pictures. I hope that you like my card and will give it a try. Now please pop over and see what the next project is, you are sure to be filled with inspiration. Today I am sharing the last 2 Pick 6 Pansy cards. Both are NOT quite as shown in the directions. But show how you can go your own way and still create beautiful cards! Polished Pink card base and Evening Evergreen make a GREAT background for the cube I had a glue mis-hap with....folded the wrong direction....so you may notice only 3 patterns of paper shown. But is this breaking any rules? Nope and adding the Vellum doily and Thanks make this an adorable card! And the prettiest paper pattern with all those lovely Pansies gets double billing! Loving the Vellum doily and it is the perfect size to back these cubes from Design 1. This next design (4) I adhered the 2 patterns in each corner of a Soft Succulent card base. I was inspired to pull out Simply Succulents Bundle. I stamped the Succulents and Flower pot. Colored with Blends and popped up over the coordinating Paper Patterns. Thanks fit perfectly in the bottom corner. I love it when a card some together and I get to COLOR!! Check out this Hashtag for all kinds of samples! Hello and welcome! Today I have a card to share for this week's Just Add Ink colour challenge, using Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, and Mango Melody. The colours made me think of pansies so I went with that and made a card using the Pansy dies set and my favourite Sending Smiles stamps and dies. Here's how it turned out. The card is all about the beautiful pansies. The layered, embossed die shapes work together to create many different looks and the colour possibilities are endless. While the colour challenge could make it challenging to create different shades, I used blending brushes and ink pads to add shading to the white and some Gorgeous Grape petals, the leaves and 'sending' word. This is a very budget friendly, useful tip to create many coordinating shades using a single colour. The Cane Weave 3d embossing folder adds lots of lovely and easy but fabulous texture. So that my friends is my colour challenge pansy card. You'll find lots more Just Add Ink colour challenge team projects on the JAI blog. Thanks for visiting today. Moody Mauve with Pansy Patch [Edit added] So delighted, my Moody Mauve Pansy card was a Global Design Project winner! Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We are working though the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order, focussing on one colour each week, however, we are starting with the new colours, with the 2023-2025 In Colours first. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a muted reddy purple called Moody Mauve. Moody Mauve is part of the new 2023-2025 In Colour Family and is a colour I love - but then, I love muted colours. This colour would be lovely when used for flowers and all things mauve. I’m still exploring coordinating colours and have used Old Olive, some Mossy Meadow with a touch of Daffodil Delight in the card below. It also would go beautifully with Fresh Freesia. Moody Mauve is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Marker; Stampin' Blends Combo; In Color Designer Series Paper as well as Fresh As A Daisy, Earthen Elegance DSPs; plus In Color Luster Speciality Paper, Treat Bags & Grid Paper, In Color Textured Ribbon & Jute Trim; and In Color Dots. Moody Mauve card-stock, ink, In Color Textured Ribbon and In Color Dots have been used in the creation of this project plus a range of non-Moody Mauve bits and pieces. As Mothers’ Day was fast approaching I was looking at plants in my local nursery and saw some gorgeous pansies displaying Moody Mauve petals. I determined to water-colour die cut pansies for this Blog Hop. I then saw the newly released Global Design Project Challenge - #GDP394 so have used that layout for my card. I love to follow the GDP as most of the team have been and or are Stampin’ Up! Artisans. Always inspiring. Clicking on this image will take you to the GDP web site. The pansies, bud and leaves were cut from Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper using the Pansy die set. These pieces were water-coloured - wet on wet technique using Moody Mauve Classic Stampin’ ink together with Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Classic inks. A piece of Basic White card-stock was used for the background. Delicate stencilling was added using a Foursquare Decorative Mask with Daffodil Delight and Mossy Meadows inks. Patches of Daffodil Delight and Mossy Meadow were added with Blending Brushes with some colour blending in areas. This panel was adhered directly to a Moody Mauve card-base. All the water-coloured flower, leaves and bud pieces were arranged with regard to the #GDP394 layout. A sentiment from the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set was white heat embossed on Moody Mauve card-stock with Versamark ink, White Emboss Powder and a Heat Tool. As it was a really long sentiment, it was cut into three. Some Moody Mauve Textured Ribbon was cut lengthwise into 3 and the 2 edge pieces were tied into a bow and tucked under a pansy with Glue Dots. A few beautiful 2023-2025 In Color Dots added a final touch of shine. A Basic White card inner also was stencilled with Daffodil Delight and Mossy Meadows inks along the inner and bottom edges. Another sentiment from the Wonderful Thoughts stamps was stamped with Moody Mauve ink. An envelope will be similarly stencilled. Thank you so much for dropping by. I so appreciate you spending time with me. There is more Moody Mauve creativity so do continue with the blog hop. Just click the "next" graphic below to be taken to the blog of my fellow South Australian, the talented Tina Gillespie. I am looking forward to checking out Tina’s creation. I do love seeing everyones' projects - there is always so much inspiration. Don’t miss out on seeing all the wonderful projects. I hope to see you next week when we will be featuring Pebbled Path, another of the new In Colour family, as we continue the weekly 2023-2024 Colour Creations Blog Hop series. I made these pocket cards to hold the Thank you vouchers for my Stamp Camp helpers. I used Patty Bennett's concept from HERE, but tweaked the sizing a little for our standard card size.
