Moody Mauve with Pansy Patch [Edit added] So delighted, my Moody Mauve Pansy card was a Global Design Project winner! Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We are working though the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order, focussing on one colour each week, however, we are starting with the new colours, with the 2023-2025 In Colours first. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a muted reddy purple called Moody Mauve. Moody Mauve is part of the new 2023-2025 In Colour Family and is a colour I love - but then, I love muted colours. This colour would be lovely when used for flowers and all things mauve. I’m still exploring coordinating colours and have used Old Olive, some Mossy Meadow with a touch of Daffodil Delight in the card below. It also would go beautifully with Fresh Freesia. Moody Mauve is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Marker; Stampin' Blends Combo; In Color Designer Series Paper as well as Fresh As A Daisy, Earthen Elegance DSPs; plus In Color Luster Speciality Paper, Treat Bags & Grid Paper, In Color Textured Ribbon & Jute Trim; and In Color Dots. Moody Mauve card-stock, ink, In Color Textured Ribbon and In Color Dots have been used in the creation of this project plus a range of non-Moody Mauve bits and pieces. As Mothers’ Day was fast approaching I was looking at plants in my local nursery and saw some gorgeous pansies displaying Moody Mauve petals. I determined to water-colour die cut pansies for this Blog Hop. I then saw the newly released Global Design Project Challenge - #GDP394 so have used that layout for my card. I love to follow the GDP as most of the team have been and or are Stampin’ Up! Artisans. Always inspiring. Clicking on this image will take you to the GDP web site. The pansies, bud and leaves were cut from Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper using the Pansy die set. These pieces were water-coloured - wet on wet technique using Moody Mauve Classic Stampin’ ink together with Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Classic inks. A piece of Basic White card-stock was used for the background. Delicate stencilling was added using a Foursquare Decorative Mask with Daffodil Delight and Mossy Meadows inks. Patches of Daffodil Delight and Mossy Meadow were added with Blending Brushes with some colour blending in areas. This panel was adhered directly to a Moody Mauve card-base. All the water-coloured flower, leaves and bud pieces were arranged with regard to the #GDP394 layout. A sentiment from the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set was white heat embossed on Moody Mauve card-stock with Versamark ink, White Emboss Powder and a Heat Tool. As it was a really long sentiment, it was cut into three. Some Moody Mauve Textured Ribbon was cut lengthwise into 3 and the 2 edge pieces were tied into a bow and tucked under a pansy with Glue Dots. A few beautiful 2023-2025 In Color Dots added a final touch of shine. A Basic White card inner also was stencilled with Daffodil Delight and Mossy Meadows inks along the inner and bottom edges. Another sentiment from the Wonderful Thoughts stamps was stamped with Moody Mauve ink. An envelope will be similarly stencilled. Thank you so much for dropping by. I so appreciate you spending time with me. There is more Moody Mauve creativity so do continue with the blog hop. I made this Birthday card for a friend using one of my favorite stamp set and dies. The stamp set is called the Pansy Patch and the matching dies are Pansy. The edge of the card is using the Basic … Continue reading →
Hello friends, For the cards today I have 3 colour combinations and used 3 different dies from the Elegant Borders Dies (#161593). The card fronts are Orchid Oasis (#159265), Berry Burst (#144249) and Gorgeous Grape (#147011). I cut the Basic White card (#159228) with the Elegant Borders Dies, For the third card I cut the top & bottom. I then dry embossed each card with one of the Elegant Eucalyptus 3D Embossing Folders (#159170). The coloured cards and white cards were taped together then attached to the Basic White base card. The Pansy dies (#155680) were used to cut the pansies and leaves. For the first card I used the following cardstock - Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky (#159264), Daffodil Delight (#121680) & Rich Razzleberry (now retired), Garden Green (#108605) and Pear Pizzaz (retired). For the second card I used Berry Burst (#144249), Bubble Bath (#161727), Granny Apple Green (#147014) and Parakeet Party (#159260). The 3rd card is Highland Heather (#147010), Gorgeous Grape, Lemon Lolly (#161729), Pretty Peacock (#150886) and Lost Lagoon (#133686). I used Adhesive Sheet (#152334) for the more detailed pieces making it easy to put these flowers together. I used Mini Glue Dots (#103683) to attach the petals together. The flowers were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and Mini Glue dots for the leaves. The Silver Trim from the Gold & Silver Trim Combo Pack (#161633) were also attached with Mini Glue Dots. All the sentiments are from my favourite stamp set - Go To Greetings (#158763) and stamped with Orchid Oasis ink (#159214), Berry Burst ink (#147143) and Gorgeous Grape ink (#147099). The dies to cut the sentiments are from the Waves Dies (#158840) - (for card 1 & 2) and Give It A Whirl Dies (#154336). Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) were used to attach the sentiments. “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE.CREATE. SHARE. lesleyjendra.stampinup.net [email protected]

This week at CASEing the Catty we are being inspired by the All Occasion Section of the Annual Catalogue, pages 14 to 61, so you have lots of ideas to CASE. Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Peta Stephens. I love the card on page 27 that I am CASEing this week. It's one that has so many die cut elements but it really caught my eye straight away when going through the pages. I have pretty much cased it as it is featured in the Annual Catalogue, I have used the Exposed Brick 3D Textured Embossing Folder as my background with Daffodil Delight applied with the Blending Brush instead of the mask. I may have used the Lemon Lime Twist as the lighter green on the leaves otherwise the colours are the same. I love the 3 purple tones - Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. I did also use my sponge dauber in Highland Heather on the centre of the pansy over the top of the Fresh Freesia which gives it further depth of colour. We made this at last Saturday's card class and when you had to die cut for 8 attendees that ladies on the Cut 'n Emboss machines did get a workout. Stamp Set: Pansy Patch Cardstock: Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Lemon Lime Twist, Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake, Basic White, Thick Basic White Ink: Pecan Pie, Highland Heather Accessories: Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Pansy Dies, Exposed Brick 3D Textured Embossing Folder, Gold Simply Elegant Trim, Copper Brushed Metallic Dots, Fresh Freesia Ribbon (retired) Close up of the beautiful pansies. Thanks for stopping by now it's time to see what my bestie, Rachel Palmieri has made this week.
Good morning! One of the cutest bundles in the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog is the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle. Today I am using the Pansy dies with the new Pansy Petals designer series …
Hello and welcome! Today I have a card to share for this week's Just Add Ink colour challenge, using Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, and Mango Melody. The colours made me think of pansies so I went with that and made a card using the Pansy dies set and my favourite Sending Smiles stamps and dies. Here's how it turned out. The card is all about the beautiful pansies. The layered, embossed die shapes work together to create many different looks and the colour possibilities are endless. While the colour challenge could make it challenging to create different shades, I used blending brushes and ink pads to add shading to the white and some Gorgeous Grape petals, the leaves and 'sending' word. This is a very budget friendly, useful tip to create many coordinating shades using a single colour. The Cane Weave 3d embossing folder adds lots of lovely and easy but fabulous texture. So that my friends is my colour challenge pansy card. You'll find lots more Just Add Ink colour challenge team projects on the JAI blog. Thanks for visiting today. Hi everyone, Welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. Only three weeks until Easter and today I am taking part in an Easter blog hop. I tried to think of appropriate Easter themes - eggs, lambs, bunnies, crosses - but had no stamp sets containing any of those images, so instead I decided on spring flowers and in particular pansies. So out came the Pansy Patch stamp set. It is such a long time since I've used that set and I really enjoyed it. Of course, I had to do a little bit of stampin inside too! I'll bee recording a video soon to show how I made my card - do pop back to see that. But meanwhile carry on hopping around all the links below - so much Easter inspiration for you! Hello and welcome. It's time to share a new Just Add Ink challenge project. This week we need to add large letters or numbers. Who doesn't love a large sentiment. I couldn't resist using my favourite Sending dies again. They're just such a lovely font and of course their size always makes a great focal point. I teamed them with the gorgeous Ginkgo Branch dies and one of the embossing folders in the new Basics 3d 3-pack. Here's how it turned out. This was one of those cards that started off with one idea and turned into another. I'd spotted a fun springboard fold card by Susan Campfield that I wanted to try. I started by converting Susan's US sizing to suit my A4 cardstock, but in the end decided not to add the clever springy bits, just the card shape. It's such a fun idea though that I'll definitely try making another springy version. Thanks so much, Susan for the great idea. This also turned out to be a fond farewell to the beautiful Mint Macaron, which is one of the colours leaving our collection this month. It's one I'm quite sad to lose as it's a really lovely shade. Have you loved it too? Of course it would look lovely in so many other colours too. Back to those gorgeous Ginkgo Leaves dies though - which are also not carrying over. See my note further below. I cut the large shape for the front, and decided to leave the cut-out pieces in place - lots of mini dimensionals holding the pieces in! The Sending word dies (letter and outline) were a perfect pairing with the delicate ginkgo. Inside I stamped a sentiment from Pansy Patch (it works really well with the swirly 'sending') cut it out with a pierced square from the Stylish Shapes dies and added some more gingham paper behind it. Another little ginkgo die cut continues the theme inside. This is how the card looks flat-ish. How lovely is the cross-hatching texture of the embossing folder too? And this is how it looks from the top. The Ginkgo Branch stamp set and dies are NOT carrying over to the new Annual Catalogue but the good news is that both the dies and stamp set are 60% off now (dies were, $63, now $25.20, and the stamps were $41, now 16.40).They're only available until 2 May, unless they sell out first. You'll find them both in my online store here. Don't order the bundle option as the discount is not on there somehow! Here's what they both look like. Beautiful huh and so useful for so many cards? So that's my 'large letter' card. I hope you found something you liked and want to try. Head to the Just Add Ink challenge blog to see all our challenge projects. You're sure to find ideas you'll love. Take a look at the full card supply list here in my Stampin' Up! store. Note that once retiring items are unavailable to order they'll disappear from the list. Hi stamping friends, I'm sharing with you today some of the samples I used in my Facebook Live presentation I did yesterday. I'm going to spread the samples over three days so that you do not get overloaded. Today's projects all use the Pansy Patch stamp set and the coordinating Pansy Dies, as pictured above. These beauties are available from the 4th of May, which is when the new Stampin' Up! 2021-2022 catalogue goes live. If you do not yet have a copy of this amazing catalogue and you live in Australia, drop me a line and I will send you one. I must admit I went a little overboard when I was playing with these stamps and ended up with over 20 different flowers. It was too easy and too fun to come up with different colour combinations. I have three cards to share with you today. I seem to be doing a lot in threes at the moment, although a really have 4 ideas to share with you. You will know what I mean if you managed to sit through the whole Facebook Live. :) The colours I used on the first card are Daffodil Delight and Polished Pink, which is one of the 2021-2023 In colours. The lighter pink colour is the Polished Pink ink stamped off once. I works well when you do not have a paler shade that coordinates. All of the leaves on these cards use Soft Succulent as the base colour and Evening Evergreen as the highlight colour. The scalloped square behind the greeting has been cut from one of the Pansy Petal DSP using one of the new Scalloped Contour Dies. I love these dies, with numerous different scalloped rectangles they are going to be endlessly useful. The pink paper is a piece of Polished Pink In Colour DSP. The second card uses more sheets from the Pansy Petals DSP. The flowers are stamped in So Saffron and Pale Papaya. I didn't put a greeting on this card as I didn't think it needed it and I like having some blank cards for any occasion. The final card for today uses purples. The light shade is Fresh Freesia, another of the 2021-2023 In Colours and the darker shade is Gorgeous Grape. The yellows are Daffodil Delight and So Saffron and the centers are Mango Melody. One of the Scalloped Contour dies has been used for the greeting and the background is the Brick Embossing Folder. The final touch is some Gorgeous Grape ribbon. Thanks for visiting, I will return shortly with another post from the Pansy Patch collection. Happy stamping, Rachel

I was a little stumped about what to share with you this week during my weekly Facebook Live, so I had this idea, and I held up these 3 colors of New In Color Cardstock on Tuesday during my team weekly live video, and I asked them if they thought these 3 colors would look good with the Pansy Patch flower dies? My Luv 2 Stamp Group gave me encouragement and said YES, try it.. so I did!! I wanted to try Parakeet Party, Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis with the Pansies. I also added Daffodil Delight. If

Good Monday morning stamping friends, Happy Monday. I hope you’re ready for a new week. Did everyone have a nice weekend? I played with the new masks again from the upcoming September-Decembe…
Hi Everyone, I wanted to make a special card as I have some special birthdays coming up so I went looking for inspiration with Mixed Up Crafts and Sam Calcott. As usual, she had just what I wanted with this one. I've made a similar ones in the past inspired by lots of people on YouTube and Pinterest but the dimensions for this one are Sam's. I made one as a 21st Birthday card for my Grandson (the star dies have retired now) and the other as a Birthday card for one of my Daughters and I chose the Heart Punches for this one. The pictures below are a mixture of both of the cards that I made but they were both made in exactly the same way apart from the toppers. Let me show you how I made it, there is a link to the video below: Video Tutorial Materials 6 pieces of coloured card stock 5 1/2" x 7", 1 piece 3" x 1", scrap for the sentiment 12 pieces of silver foil 1" x 6 3/4", scrap for the sentiment 12 pieces of dsp 3/4" x 6 1/2" Scrap of basic white for the sentiment Rich Razzleberry ink Charming Sentiments stamp set Pansy Patch Sentiment Silhouette dies Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine Hearts Punch Pack Trimmer Simply Scored Bone Folder Multipurpose adhesive Dimensionals Basic Rhinestones Instructions On the short side score each of the pieces of coloured card stock at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 3 3/4" and 5" and fold and burnish all of the score lines. Add glue to the tab section of each piece and then fold the other side over to meet the score line, this forms a tube. Repeat this with each of the pieces (see pictures). Then keeping the seam to the back of the tube, start to adhere them together, section by section (see pictures) until you have joined the sixth one to the 1st one to complete the star. Make sure that you keep the tops, bottoms and joins level otherwise your card will be wonky and won't stand up straight. Just take it slowly and it will be fine. Then add the dsp layers to the silver foil mat layers and then add to each section keeping the borders equal. If you want to write a message on the card itself, leave one of the sections blank and add a piece of white card there instead (use the measurement for the silver foil mat). I decided to decorate all of mine and add a small gift card with my message instead. Punch the scalloped heart in silver foil and the plain one in Fresh Freesia. Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of fresh freesia using the Rich Razzleberry ink and then punch out. Layer up the two hearts and then add the rhinestones around the sentiment. Take the 3" x 1" strip of card and score at 1/2", 1", 2" and 2 1/2" and fold as shown in the picture. Add glue to the two smaller sections and adhere one either side of the point on the front of one of the sections (see picture). Then adhere your heart topper to the flat side that remains and it looks like your sentiment is floating on the front. I punched out another set of hearts and added some silver twine to add a tag with my message. For the blue one, I'll die cut some more stars and add my message to that too. I really like this card and think they both turned out beautifully, I hope that you will give it a go, it's not as complicated as it looks.
